How do I listen to the FM through the speakers?

When I try to use the FM Radio I keep getting the error of "No earphones connected". How do I get the radio to play through the built in speakers????

You can't. The FM Radio app uses the earphone cord as an antenna so must be plugged in to use and it automatically disconnects the internal speakers when plugged in.

Yes, you can do this. The earphones must be plugged in because they are also used as the antenna for the radio. To use the speakers, touch the MENU button and select "Via speaker". To return to earphone use, touch MENU button again and select "Via earphones".

Question

When I turn product on, it asks for a PIN. I do not remember entering one. If I did I cannot remember it.

The question is how can I make this function go away so that i can open and operate the device? Is there a "reset" function somewhere? The tablet is useles without being able to get into it, as you know. HELP!

You'll have to do a factory reset on it. Take out the SD card (you have backed up the internal memory to the external SD card haven't you?# and hold down power and vol button and it should reset it to factory default. You'll have to re-do the setup #Gmail account, etc# and re-install all your apps and data, etc. from the SD card or from your Google and/or Amazon account #My Apps).

Thank you cvcduty for providing that answer. Additionally, if you have a Galaxy Player model that has a removable battery, if the device freezes, you can remove the battery to power the device off.

You need to hold the power button for quite a long time. Maybe 15-20 secs. The player should power cycle.

Question

How to connect to Aux on Car Radio

I am trying to connect my Glaxey 5 MP Player to a factory car radio through the aux port. I purchased a cable to connect but the player doesn't use the car speakers. Instead it uses it's own internal speaker.

Any ideas?

I think that Dual View works with only specific TV models, and also depend on which country/region you're in. I have a Galaxy Player, and we bought a 55" Samsung TV last year, but it was "the wrong" model. It's a Smart TV, but wasn't one of the ones that support Dual View with the Galaxy Player :(...

when I place the external sd card in the media scanner will not stop

I have formatted the card and it still persists. Music nor photos will show when card is in but work without the external card.

Question

Where are video files supposed to be stored for the Galaxy 5 player to find and play them?

I use WMP to sync a video to the Galaxy 5 Player. Then when I run the video app on the Galaxy player it displays "no videos were found". Is there a specific folder I should sync videos to?

No, the Gallery app will find all videos on the SD card - it searches all folders. Your problem may have to do with the container format you used. Gallery will only see avi, 3gp, mp4, asf, mkv, wmv and flv extensions - no mov, vob, ogg, QuickTime or RealVideo, etc.

You might try a third-party player from the Play Store (Google Market) that preports to work with the video files you want to play.

google play is not working.

Internet is working
e-mail is working but google play is not working. There is "conncetion error" message.
I don't know why it happened.

player freezes up

This is about a MEDIA player....not a phone although I have read similar questions regarding the Samsung phone.

This media player tends to just freeze up when searching or scrolling for songs in the music mode. I have to hold in the power button until it shuts off and then restart the player. It goes thru the entire scan of the SD card before it is again usable.
When it "freezes" no function will work and there is no response from any button or icon at all.

What is up with this and how do I prevent this from being an ongoing problem ?

There might be a couple of things that is causing this.
I find that if you have a lot of apps installed, it could slow down your player. All those apps might be running in the background and eating up processor time and slowing you down.
Also, if your SD card (if you have music on external cards) are low speed rated, i.e. class 2 it will take a while to read the contents and maybe even slow you down. Try a higher speed sd card such as class 6 or best yet, class 10.
