The estimated duration of the Normal cycle on the WF419AAU is 58 minutes. Actual time may vary depending on several factors, including water pressure, size of load, amount and type of detergent which can effect the amount of suds and need for additional rinse time.

Thank you for the question. I can understand your concern, but please rest assured that all Samsung washing machines do an excellent job washing both whites and towels, as well as a variety of other types of items. Each model offers a set of preprogrammed cycles, which are selected based on customer feedback from previous models and other sources. The WF219 does have preprogrammed cycles for Whites and Towels, and the specifications page on the website reflects this fact by indicating "Yes" next to those cycles. The WF419, however, does not have those particular cycles preprogrammed, which is why the specifications for that model states "No" next to those cycles. This does not mean the WF419 is any less capable of washing those types of items; it simply means there are other cycles that are preprogrammed on the WF419 which are equally suitable, such as the "Heavy Duty", "Sanitize" or "Bedding", to name a few. Since the WF419 has more features than the WF219, Samsung chose to reduce redundancy of certain preprogrammed cycles in order to add cycles like Deep Steam while maintaining the user-friendliness of the controls.

Meet My Cycle: If you don't find a preprogrammed cycle that suits your particular wash load, then you also have the ability to select whichever combination of water temperature, spin speed and soil level, along with other available options, and store it as "My Cycle" for one-touch selection on future loads.

A note about capacity: The 4.3 cubic foot WF419 fits a lot of towels - three more than the WF219, which does have the preprogrammed "Towel" cycle! In addition, the WF419 has the internal water heater and Steam feature, both of which are great at getting whites their whitest.

To remove the pedestal drawers, follow these steps: Open the pedestal drawer. Locate the 2-3 Phillips head screws toward the front of the track on each side. Remove the screws from each side, then lift and pull the pedestal off the track.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. Most likely your washer has become unlevel since you started using it, and is now tilted slightly forward. This can happen if the leveling legs were not locked in place when it was initially installed. Over time, vibration can cause the legs to become unlevel again if they are not locked in place. If your towels are rougher now than they were with your previous washer, and your previous machine was a toploader (not an HE model), then you may be using too much detergent, or not HE detergent. It is important to use the correct amount of HE detergent with frontloaders due to the low water use. Too much detergent, or the use of non-HE, can prevent the towels from rinsing thoroughly which may cause them to feel rough. Besides adjusting the detergent use, I would suggest selecting the "Extra Rinse" option on the controls to help ensure the maximum amount of detergent and suds are extracted from your towels.

I'm sorry to hear the chime is not working on your WF419. Please try cycling the power to the washer by unplugging then plugging it back in, or turn the circuit breaker off then on again. Make sure the Child Lock is not activated, and press the Signal On/Off button on the control panel. If your chime still doesn't work, service may be required to repair it. If you're referring to the icon that looks like a padlock, this indicates when the door is locked. To disengage the lock during the cycle, press the Start/Pause button. Press the Start/Pause again to restart the cycle once the door is closed. There are certain times that the door cannot be unlocked, such as when the temperature is too hot (during Sanitize) and when the drum is spinning.

AFTER ALL MY RESEARCH AND WEIGHING I TOOK THE 448 IN WHITE AS DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR (AND THE SALE PRICES ON LINE I FOUND) IT WAS A BETTER DEAL WHETHER OR NOT I WILL USE ALL THE FEATURES IS ANOTHER MATTER BUT I DO USE SILVER ALMOST EVERYLOAD. The WF419 automatically adjusts the water level based on the weight of the laundry and cycles selected, using from 13 to 15 gallons of water per cycle. Samsung front load washers do not have a manual water level adjustment. The steam cycles on the WF419 washer are designed to be part of wash cycles and are not available as "steam only". The steam dryers, including the DV419, do have Steam Refresh and Steam WrinkleCare cycles, however, which are ideal for refreshing or removing wrinkles from clothes that have been in storage.
