The issue could be several things: it could be the locking mechanism on the door. It could be debris that needs cleaning out of the filter. It could be debris in the inlet filter. Regardless if the noise happens multiple times in a row, or if it is extremely loud, you may want to set up service to get it checked out. To setup service, please contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, or if you want to come through a social media channel, we have a couple options for you:

To clean the inlet hose screens on your WF337 washer, turn off the water supply valves and disconnect the hoses from the back of the washer. Using a pair of needle nose pliers to grasp the plastic rim of the screens that are set inside the openings on the washer, remove them and rinse them under running water to remove any debris. If necessary, they can be soaked in warm soapy water for thorough cleaning. To reassemble, replace the screens, reconnect the hoses and turn the water valves back on.

I'm sorry to hear you have an odor in your WF337AAW. This odor is caused by bacteria that is introduced to the washing machine from the water supply, dirty laundry and other environmental factors, and can get trapped in soap residue on the outside of the drum and in the gaskets and dispenser. Besides the standard maintenance procedures recommended for most front load washers, which include running empty sanitize cycles with bleach, wiping down the gaskets and door between loads, cleaning the soap dispenser regularly, and leaving the door open between loads, it is very important to use only the recommended amount of HE detergent. In addition, Samsung has developed other options for treating this issue.

The WF337 is equipped with SilverCare, an option that can be added to most cycles simply by pressing the SilverCare button at the start of the cycle. SilverCare can be used in any temperature water and is safe for colors and delicates. This feature releases silver ions which are highly effective in eliminating 99.99% of bacteria.

To treat the odor that has already developed, I would suggest cleaning your washer thoroughly by wiping it down with a bleach solution, then adding SilverCare to your regular laundry routine moving forward - using it at least twice a week to remove the odor causing bacteria from both the washer and your clothes.

Thank you,

It's not unusual to have a small amount of water remaining in the compartments in the detergent drawer at the end of the cycle. However, more than a small amount may indicate that the washer is not properly leveled, and is leaning forward somewhat. I would suggest using a carpenter's level to check both front to back and side to side leveling, ensuring that the bubble on the level is perfectly centered. Run a Spin Only cycle to determine if there is any vibration, then fine-tune the adjustment to ensure all four feet are firmly planted on the floor to minimize any vibration. Once the leveling is complete, be sure to screw the plastic leg locks into place as far up as they'll go so the legs don't become loose and change their position over time.

Question

Why does it vibrate at low speed spin?

At low speed spin, it vibrates terribly, but at high speed no problem, I have checked the level of the units, as I have them stacked with original equipment for stacking, and it's perfectly level. I notice the stainless inner barrel does not spin "level" at low speed but "levels" out at high speed? Has there been a recall on my model?

Thanks for the question. It's not unusual for the WF337AAW and other Samsung washers that are equipped with Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) to vibrate somewhat at lower speeds or for the drum to appear to be out of balance. The drum itself may move around unevenly, but should not effect the outside of the machine once the VRT takes effect above about 400 RPM or Medium spin speed.

The VRT uses rings of ball bearings around the outside of the drum that act as counterweights to help offset the imbalance as the spin cycle speeds up. In addition, your WF337AAW has a 6-point suspension system to help prevent the outside of the washer from moving around as much as the drum. That said, it's very important for the washer to be set up properly to maximize the effectiveness of the VRT and the suspension. To ensure yours is set up correctly, please click on the link below to view a short video reviewing the key steps: http://support-us.samsung.com/spsn/...

Question

How to install pins in washer for moving?

I am preparing to move into a new house and need to know how to install the moving pins in the back of my washer. I see the holes where the pins are to be inserted but when I insert them they do not seem to attach or connect to anything on inside of the washer to lock the drum in place. Can you please provide me with instructions for using the pins and inserting them properly? Also, can you please let me know of anything else I should keep in mind when moving the washer?

If the shipping bolts don't easily line up with the sockets on the outside of the drum when you insert them through the holes in the back of the washer, you can remove the lid of the washer and adjust the position of the drum so the holes can line up more closely. To remove the lid, remove the screws at the top rear edge and slide the lid back, then lift up.

Once the shipping bolts are replaced and the drum is secure, you should be able to move the washer safely. Please refer to the online support pages or your user manual for installation instructions when it's time to set the washer up in its new location. It's very important to remove the shipping bolts and level the washer to maximize the effectiveness of the WF337's Vibration Reduction Technology in your new home.

It's possible what you're hearing are the stainless steel ball bearings bumping into each other as they move around inside the VRT ring. As the drum spins, the balls reposition themselves to help counter-balance the weight inside the drum. This is how Vibration Reduction Technology works to help eliminate the noise and vibration from imbalances.

Thank you for the question. The WF337 model was produced before the debris filter accessible on newer models through the front access panel was added as a feature. If your WF337 does not drain or spin, please check the following items as instructed in the User Manual:
• Check the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
• Straighten the drain hoses. Eliminate kinked hoses. If there is a drain restriction, call for service.
• Close the door and press the Start/Pause Button. For your safety, your Washer will not tumble or spin unless the door is closed.

If this does not resolve your issue, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak to an agent who can assist you further.

I'm sorry to hear your WF337 washer and clothes have an odor. There are several possible solutions to correct this problem. Please review the suggestions offered in the Troubleshooting Guide which can be opened through the link below, then select Operation > The Washing Machine Has An Odor: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

I would suggest paying special attention to the advice about running the SilverCare cycle if you have not already done so. The beauty of SilverCare, which is available on the WF337, is that it can be used in any temperature water, and it will help to remove the odor-causing bacteria from your clothes and your wash drum simultaneously.

If you've been using SilverCare for a while and it no longer appears to be effective, then it's possible that the SilverCare kit needs to be replaced. To determine if this is the case, press the Signal and SilverCare buttons simultaneously; if the display reads LU0, then it's time to replace the SilverCare kit. Samsung recommends having a qualified technician replace this part for you. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

SilverCare™ - also called ActiveFresh™ on some newer models - is an innovative technology which helps keep both the machine and your clothes fresh smelling without using bleach and hot water. SilverCare™ eliminates the bacteria that causes mold and mildew, as well as other odors, even in cold water. Since you don't have to use bleach and hot water, this feature can save energy and money, and it's better for your fabrics, too. Current models that offer this feature include the WF328, WF419 and WF448.

The cycle that is called Handwash on some models is the same as the Delicate cycle on others. Details on the factory settings for this and other cycles are available in the User Manual under Cycle Chart. For your convenience, I've included an image of this chart below.
