Like most front load washers, the door on the WF330 opens from right to left and cannot be reversed to open from left to right because of the location of the door lock. The dryer doors, however, are reversible. Instructions to reverse the dryer door can be found in the User Manual, which can be downloaded from this website for your convenience.

Question

How much will my Washer wash at a time?

I just got the Samsung 4.0 CU. FT. Front Load Washer item number 7401SAM, was just wondering cause the salesperson told me some things about this washer and when I went to look in the manuel to double check what he had told me, cause he told me a lot and couldn't remember everything it was no where in the manuel to check at home. 1. He told me that I could wash any colors together and that nothing would fade. 2. He also told me that nothing would get fuzz balls or the little balls that you get sometimes on sheets. 3. He told me that I could wash like 15 towels at one time. 4. He also told me that I could wash like 12 pairs of jeans at one time. When I went over the manuel I didn't see any of these things mentioned in the maual and there is nowhere on this site that answered these questions either. So if someone could help me out with these 4 things that I am questionable about I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for choosing Samsung; following are the answers to your questions:
1. While Samsung washers, including this model, have many wonderful features, I'm not aware of any machine that can guarantee colors will not fade over time, since color-fastness depends on many factors, including the fabric, dye, detergent, water temperature and exposure to sun and other elements.
2. Some fabrics are more prone to "fuzz balls" than others, and like color-fastness, this tendency is effected by many factors other than the washing machine being used.
3. The 4.0 cubic foot WF218ANB can wash 23 standard size bath towels (24" x 44") at one time.
4. Since jean sizes vary so greatly, it is difficult to provide an accurate capacity equivalent in these terms.

That said, the WF218 is a popular model with several great features, including Samsung's signature Vibration Reduction Technology which will help to significantly reduce noise and vibration, even at top spin speeds; Direct Drive motor, which also helps to reduce noise while increasing durability; and an internal heating element for sanitizing. This model is also very efficient, meeting the highest Energy Star/CEE Tier 3 standards based on both water and energy use.

Question

What does the internal heater do in a WF330 washer?

Does the internal heater maintain the wash cycle water temperature during the cycle?

Do all the front loading washing machines have an internal water heater? How many of those maintain the water temperature and support a very high temp wash?

The WF330 does have an internal water heater which functions primarily to boost the temperature of the home's water supply to a minimum of 150°F to sanitize. Most, but not all, of Samsung's front load washers have the internal water heater for this purpose. During cold water wash cycles, the water temperature is regulated by cycling the hot water on and off to ensure the cold water meets the minimum 60°F temperature required by many of today's detergents. The washer controls the warm and hot water washes by regulating the hot and cold water inlet valves.

Question

How much water does the wf330anw use?

I have a Samsung wf330anw washer. My sole purpose for my purchase was for efficiency. The salesman said is uses about 8 gallons of water per load. How accurate is that? How much water does it use? And does the water level set itself for the size of the load? Thanks.

The WF330ANW, like other Samsung washing machines, actually uses about 13-15 gallons of water per cycle, which is considered extremely efficient. The washer does use a weight sensor to detect the size of the load. This along with other factors such as which options are selected and whether there is an oversudsing condition caused by non-HE or too much HE detergent help to determine how much water will be used.

The WF330, like other Samsung washers, should drain automatically. If yours does not, please make sure the washer is properly leveled both front to back and side to side, make sure the drain hose is not inserted too far into the drain pipe and that there are no bends or kinks in the drain hose that might cause a blockage. Samsung also recommends cleaning the debris filter on a regular basis (at least once per month). To avoid spillage when cleaning the debris filter, it's important to first empty the rubber drain tube located next to the debris filter into a container. For more information, please refer to the User Manual.

Thanks for the question. The best way to use both liquid and powdered detergent in the same load would be to place one in the pre-wash compartment and the other in the detergent compartment. Another option would be to place the powder in the detergent compartment and the liquid in the bleach compartment. I would not recommend placing them in the same compartment, since it would likely lead to clumping. In addition, the bleach and fabric softener compartments are designed for liquid forms of those products only.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your new WF330 washer. I would suggest cycling the power to the washer by unplugging then replugging it, or turning the circuit breaker off then on again. If the controls do not reset, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can help determine whether your washer will require service.

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty getting your baseball pants clean. Some stains can be effectively removed by pre-treating them with a stain remover, or by washing them in hot water, for example, while others should not be washed in hot water. The internal heater in the WF330 can be used to boost the temperature to above 150°F during the Sanitize cycle, if heat is what's needed. It's important to consult the fabric care label on the garment, however, to ensure it can be washed safely in hot water.

It's also important to use only the recommended amount of HE detergent in front load washers. Using non-HE formulations, or too much HE, can cause oversudsing which can prevent detergent from rinsing completely and leaving your clothes as clean as they can be.

I'm sorry to hear your clothes are coming out wrinkled. I would suggest you try reducing the spin speed for wash cycles that contain the polyester or other clothes that tend to hold wrinkles despite the time in the dryer. The high spin speeds on Samsung's front load washers, which may be as much as two or three times faster than many traditional top loaders, may cause some items to come out of the washer with wrinkles "pressed" into them. While this helps to reduce energy use by making it possible for the nearly-dry clothes to spend less time in the dryer, some types of fabrics may benefit from a low or medium spin speed instead.

Thank you for the question. For the sake of consistency, the capacity of Samsung's washers are equated to the maximum number of standard, 24" x 44" bath towels they can hold. The 4.3 cubic foot WF330ANB can hold up to 26 of these towels, so anything more than that would be considered "oversized".

Poor laundry results: wrinkles

So far, we're not at all happy with the results of our new washer. Besides taking 4 times longer per load, clothing is extremely wrinkled. I'm sorry to hear you're having these issues with your new washer. Please refer to the cycle chart in the back of your user manual for estimated cycle times. Actual times may vary somewhat depending on the size of the load, the supplied water pressure and temperature, selected options, type of detergent used, and whether the machine is properly leveled. However, if your wash times vary excessively from the estimated ones, please click on the following link for a how-to video on properly leveling the washer: http://support-us.samsung.com/spsn/...

If your clothes are coming out too wrinkled, you can try reducing the spin speed setting on the washer. The WF330, like other high efficiency front load washers, can spin at speeds 2-3 times those of traditional top loaders, helping to extract much more water from the clothes so they can spend less time in the dryer, which helps to save energy. Some fabrics, however, are better cared for by spinning at slower speeds.

I hope this information has helped address your concerns. If I can be of further assistance, please feel free to submit another question.

Thank you!

Question

Why is the detergent compartment full of water at the end of each load?

I actually checked mid-cycle to see if it was full of water, which it wasn't. But after each load the compartment is full of water. It doesn't seem like this is normal since the owner's manual doesn't mention having to empty that compartment.

Thank you for the question. It's not unusual to have a small amount of water remaining in the detergent drawer at the end of the cycle. However, more than a small amount may indicate that the washer is not properly leveled, and is leaning forward somewhat. I would suggest using a carpenter's level to check both front to back and side to side leveling, ensuring that the bubble on the level is perfectly centered. Run a Spin Only or Rinse and Spin cycle to determine if there is any vibration, then fine-tune the adjustment to ensure all four feet are firmly planted on the floor to minimize any vibration. Once the leveling is complete, be sure to screw the plastic leg locks into place as far up as they'll go so the legs don't become loose and change their position over time.

Question

How much clearance do I need to the walls?

I just bought the WF330ANW washer and matching DV330AEW dryer, which will be delivered this Friday. I'm installing a washer pan with a drain pipe, and was wondering how much clearance I need around the washer/dryer, which will be stacked. How much room do I need to allow between the walls and the side, and the back of the units?

Thanks for the question, and for choosing Samsung. The amount of clearance needed around your stacked washer and dryer depends in part on whether they will be installed in a closet or alcove, or out in the open with plenty of air circulation. In addition, since the stacked electric dryer can be vented out the back or sides, the location of the vent will also effect the clearance. It's important to note that, when stacked using the SK-5A stacking kit, the dryer overhangs the back of the washer by about 5", making the total stacked depth of the units 35-1/4", not including the vent duct. I would suggest you download the user manuals for both products and review the sections on installation and location considerations. For your convenience, here are the links to the downloadable manuals:
