The WF306LAW washer was produced prior to the introduction of the debris filters that could easily be accessed by customers through the front of the washers. This feature was introduced later, in 2008 models.

If the door on your WF306LAW is locked while the power is off, you should be able to unlock it by powering the washer on. If the door is still locked, press the Pause/Start button and wait for the lock to disengage. If you are running a Sanitize cycle, the door will remain locked when you press Pause for your safety. If you are still unable to unlock the door at the end of the cycle, try powering the washer off, then on again. If the problem still persists, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you further.

Thank you for the question. "SUDS" displayed on the control panel is an indication that your WF306 has detected an oversudsing condition and will stop for a short period to allow the suds to dissipate. This is usually caused by too much detergent or the use of non-HE detergent, and is not an indication of a malfunction in the machine itself.

Over time, you may find that items that were washed with too much detergent, or the wrong kind of detergent, may have some soap residue building up which can lead to dinginess or continued oversudsing when re-washed. To determine if this is the situation in your case, try running a load of laundry on the Rinse & Spin setting without adding detergent. If any suds develop, you may want to reduce the amount or change the type of detergent you're using.

I'm sorry to hear you have mold growing in your WF306LAW. Mold is caused by bacteria in the water supply, dirty laundry and other environmental factors. Besides the standard maintenance procedures recommended for most front load washers, which include running empty sanitize cycles with bleach, wiping down the gaskets and door between loads, cleaning the soap dispenser regularly, and leaving the door open between loads, it is very important to use only the recommended amount of HE detergent.

In addition, the WF306 was one of the first Samsung front loaders equipped with SilverCare, an option that can be added to most cycles simply by pressing the SilverCare button at the start of the cycle. SilverCare can be used in any temperature water and is safe for colors and delicates. This feature releases silver ions which are highly effective in eliminating 99.99% of bacteria.

To treat the mold that has already developed, I would suggest cleaning your washer thoroughly with a bleach solution, then adding SilverCare to your regular laundry routine moving forward - using it at least twice a week to help eliminate bacteria and prevent the mold from returning once you've removed it.

The SilverCare™ kit in your WF306 should last for 3000 cycles. You can find the number of times you used the SilverCare™ option by pressing the Signal and SilverCare™ buttons on the control panel. Here are the possible codes:

LU3 : less than 1000 times
LU2 : between 1000 to 2000 times
LU1 : between 2000 to 2999 times
LU0 : over 2999 times

You should replace the SilverCare™ kit when it displays “LU0”. Please contact 800-SAMSUNG for assistance replacing the kit.

Besides the standard maintenance procedures recommended for most front load washers, which include running empty hot water cycles with bleach, wiping down the gaskets and door between loads, cleaning the soap dispenser regularly, and leaving the door open between loads, it is very important to use only the recommended amount of HE detergent. In addition, Samsung has developed other options for treating this issue.

The WF306LAW is equipped with SilverCare, an option that can be added to most cycles simply by pressing the SilverCare button at the start of the cycle. SilverCare can be used in any temperature water and is safe for colors and delicates. This feature releases silver ions which are highly effective in eliminating 99.99% of bacteria. If you've been using SilverCare regularly, then it may be necessary to have the SilverCare kit replaced in your washer; Samsung recommends having a qualified technician replace the kit. Please refer to page C-5 of the user manual for instructions to determine whether the SilverCare kit should be replaced.

To treat the odor that has already developed, I would suggest cleaning your washer thoroughly by wiping it down with a bleach solution, then adding SilverCare to your regular laundry routine moving forward - using it at least twice a week to remove the odor causing bacteria from both the washer and your clothes.

samsung silver care wf3-6law/xaa washer machine wont drain

We have a samsung silver care wf3-6law/xaa washer machine wont drain. I took the pump out and there was a tooth pick in it. I cleaned it out. During our test run of the washer, it does not drain water. In the beginning (before filling up with water) the drum spun fine, now it does not move. We get a code 'nd', for not draining. What should I do? Replace the pump. The pump visually looks fine.

I'm sorry to hear your WF306 does not fit in your new space. Like most front load washers, the door on the WF306 opens from right to left and cannot be reversed to open from left to right because of the location of the door lock. The dryer doors, however, are reversible. Instructions to reverse the dryer door can be found in the User Manual, which can be downloaded from this website for your convenience.
