Like most front load washers, the door on the WF210ANW opens from right to left and cannot be reversed to open from left to right because of the location of the door lock. The dryer doors, however, are reversible. Instructions to reverse the dryer door can be found in the User Manual, which can be downloaded from this website for your convenience.

Question

Why does my debris filter smell like sewage?

I have owned the WF210 for 6 months now. I have cleaned the filter every 2 months as stated and 2 weeks ago my laundry has been smelling like a sewage leak. After a few days of looking around for the source when I opened the filter I almost fainted on how strongly the foul smell was. I drained the water and cleaned the filter again and have cleaned the washer thoroughly yet as soon as you use the washing machine again the foul sewage smell is back strong force again. I have no idea what to do to get this smell away. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I'm sorry to hear your WF210 washer debris filter has an odor. This odor is caused by bacteria that is introduced to the washing machine from the water supply, dirty laundry and other environmental factors, and can get trapped in soap residue on the outside of the drum, as well as in the gaskets, dispenser and debris filter. Samsung recommends following the standard maintenance procedures recommended for most front load washers, which include running empty hot wash cycles with bleach, wiping down the gaskets and door between loads, cleaning the soap dispenser regularly, and leaving the door open between loads. In addition, it is very important to use only the recommended amount of HE detergent to help reduce the residue that can trap the bacteria that can lead to these odors.

I hope this helps,

Thanks for the question. It's not unusual for the washer to sound a bit out of balance when it first starts to spin. Here's why: Vibration Reduction Technology uses rings of stainless steel ball bearings which act as counterweights to correct imbalances in the wash load during the spin cycle. As the drum speeds up, the balls - which are floating in liquid - spread out. It can take until the spin speed reaches "medium" or about 400 RPM for centrifugal force to cause the balls to be positioned where the drum will spin most efficiently and with the least vibration.

Besides the short-term imbalance at the start of the spin cycle, there are other sounds you may hear, as well, such as the water draining.

I hope this helps to clarify-

Samsung recommends using only HE detergent, which comes in both liquid and powder form, and is available from a number of manufacturers. If you choose to use non-HE detergent, this can lead to oversudsing conditions which can effect the ability of the washer to operate properly. It can also lead to odors in the washer and dingy-looking clothes since it may not be able to rinse sufficiently.

Buy four rubber pads that have tremendous gripping surfaces on top of the pads and MORE IMPORTANTLY on bottom of the pads to grip the floor. Then place the pads under the four feet. That is what I did and my washer has not moved 1/16 inch in 6 months.

Thank you for the question. Samsung now has two different types of pedestals: the WE357A7x and WE357A0x. The pedestals themselves are the same, though the method of attachment is quite different. The WE357A0x has a new "Quick Install" system. An online how-to guide is not yet available for that model.

If your pedestals are the WE357A7x model (WE357A7W in white), while there is no how-to video currently available, you can click on this link for a how-to guide which may be a bit easier to follow than the printed instructions: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/s...

It is very important to make sure the shipping bolts are still in place before laying the washer on its side to attach the pedestal.

I'm sorry to hear your WF210 is vibrating. It's not unusual to have some vibration during the initial stages of the spin cycle, up until it reaches medium spin speed or about 400 RPM, which is when the Vibration Reduction Technology really takes effect. If the vibration is excessive, it should help to make some minor adjustments to the legs to ensure all four feet are firmly planted on the ground. Please click on this link to view a short video on troubleshooting washer vibrations: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/o...

If, after making the necessary adjustments, you still experience more than just a small amount of vibration during the initial phase of the spin cycle, please call 800-SAMSUNG for additional support.

You should remove the four shipping bolts from the back of your WF210 once it's in its final location, but before you run it for the first time. If you plan to mount it on a WE357A7W pedestal, it's best to do that first before removing the bolts since you'll need to lay it on its side to attach the pedestal.

answer 1
I'm sorry to hear something in your washer is causing items to come out pink. Since there is nothing built into the washer itself that should be causing this to happen, it is likely that there is some kind of debris in the gaskets or the hoses that is causing it. I would suggest checking the hoses and inlet screens first to see if there is something entering the washer through the water lines. Next, remove the detergent drawer and rinse it thoroughly with warm water. Run a hot cycle with bleach to remove anything that might have gotten onto the drum, then wipe down the gaskets and door with a bleach solution. Finally, clean the debris filter.

I hope this helps to resolve the issue for you.

Thanks for the question. Samsung recommends a vertical discharge of no more than nine feet, with a maximum of thirteen feet in any direction, based on the pump's capability.

The drain hose that comes factory installed on your washer is approximately 6' long, and can be extended by purchasing another section of hose, then attaching it to the original hose by clamping them together with a steel sleeve. These parts can be purchased at most hardware or home improvement stores.

Question

Why is hot water wash not hot?

My hot water wash cycle on my brand new Samsung washer 210ANW is not hot. It is only cool, not even warm. I have had a plumber check the connector hoses and there is no blockage. Also, the hot water pressure is excellent and flows fine from the connector hose when the hose is emptied into a bucket rather than the machine. So the problem is not with the hose or the hot water tap. The cold works fine. What are the other possible issues that could affect the hot water wash temperature?

answer 1
If the hot water wash on your WF210 is not hot, and you've checked the hose connections and have successfully flushed hot water through the hose, then it's possible there is either blockage of the inlet screen or the washer is not functioning properly. Please turn off the hot water valve and disconnect the hose to the machine, then check the inlet hose screen on the back of the washer for debris. Flush the hot water through the line again to ensure only hot water will enter the washer through that line, replace the screen and the hose and turn the water back on. Try running a Quick Wash with hot water selected. When checking the water temperature, pause the washer once it's filled and check the water inside the drum rather than as it passes through the detergent drawer. If it still feels cool to the touch, then your washer may require service. Though the WF210ANW does not have a soak option, per se, each wash cycle has a certain amount of time dedicated to soaking as it pauses between stages of the cycle. In addition, you have the option of "pausing" the washer at any time, which could also allow for "soak time." Please refer to the fabric care instructions on the garment labels for advice on temperature settings to help prevent further fading.
