When using bleach, I got bleached spots on my towels. I am not overfilling the dispenser. Can this be remedied?

Bleach spots on towels is usually the result of too much bleach being used, which can cause the siphoning to happen too early, or the bleach is not being properly flushed through the lines. I would suggest cleaning the inlet water hose screens on the back of the washer and try pouring a bit less bleach into the dispenser cup. Selecting the Extra Wash and Extra Rinse options may help as well.

I hope this helps-

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your WF209ANW. Troubleshooting options for the nF (No Fill) error code include checking the faucets to make sure they're turned on all the way, checking the hoses to make sure there are no bends or kinks obstructing water flow, and checking the inlet water hose screens on the back of the washer for debris. If you've checked each of these possibilities and the error code returns, your washer will require service. To initiate service through Samsung, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Question

My washer is not draining at all times

My WF209ANWXAA washer is not draining all the time and I am afraid that this is going to damage the machine. I have cleaned out all the drains, and checked the hoses. It will drain properly for one or two cycles, then start to act up again. I have looked on the internet and this seems to be a common problem and has been for some time. Can you offer any suggestions? I notice they say check fuses- what fuses are they refering to?

The fuses that are being referred to are probably the household fuse or circuit breaker. If the washer is not draining properly and the drain hose is not clogged and is inserted correctly in the drain pipe, and you've cleaned the debris filter through the front access panel, then try resetting the circuit breaker in your house. If the problem recurs, your WF209 will require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Question

Why does my washer leak after I clean out the filter

it says to clean out the filter every 2 months. I drained it first using the little black hose, opened the filter, cleaned it and put it back in. The next time I washed water was on the floor, then the next time water was running down my hallway. I called the service man, he said not to clean out the filter.

Thank you for the question. If the washer is leaking from the debris filter area after you've cleaned it out, then the drain hose plug or debris filter have probably not been replaced securely. Please make sure the plug has been inserted in the drain hose securely, and the debris filter is locked in place. If replaced correctly they should not leak. If the leak is coming from somewhere other than the drain hose and debris filter access area, please click on the link below then select "Troubleshooting ► Water Related ► Water Leaks" and follow the tips provided: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

If these suggestions do not help to resolve the issue, please submit a service request through the link provided in the article.

I'm sorry to hear your WF209ANW washer has an odor. This odor is caused by bacteria that is introduced to the washing machine from the water supply, dirty laundry and other environmental factors, and can get trapped in soap residue on the outside of the drum, as well as in the gaskets and dispenser. Samsung recommends following the standard maintenance procedures recommended for most front load washers, which include running empty hot wash cycles with bleach, wiping down the gaskets and door between loads, cleaning the soap dispenser regularly, and leaving the door open between loads. In addition, it is very important to use only the recommended amount of HE detergent to help reduce the residue that can trap the bacteria that can lead to these odors.

It's normal for there to be a small amount of water remaining in the drum after the load is complete, and it may drip down the sides or the door (if it is closed) as the drum settles. To determine whether the water you're seeing is the residual water from the previous load or new water entering the machine, try turning the water valves off after the load. If the "seeping" stops, then your washer may require service. To initiate the service process, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

The "dc" error code indicates that an unbalanced load is preventing the washer from spinning completely. Try redistributing the load and resetting the cycle selector dial if necessary to restart or complete the cycle.

Since the debris filter in your WF209 washer is the "catch-all" for everything that's gone through the washer, it's not surprising that there would be an odor there which you should be able to control by cleaning it regularly, as recommended.

This odor is caused by bacteria that is introduced to the washing machine from the water supply, dirty laundry and other environmental factors, and can get trapped in soap residue on the outside of the drum, as well as in the gaskets and dispenser. In addition to cleaning the debris filter, Samsung recommends following the standard maintenance procedures recommended for most front load washers, which include running empty hot wash cycles with bleach, wiping down the gaskets and door between loads, cleaning the soap dispenser regularly, and leaving the door open between loads. The drain hose that comes factory installed on your WF209 is approximately 6 feet long, and can be extended by purchasing another section of hose, then attaching it to the original hose by clamping them together with a steel sleeve. These parts can be purchased at most hardware or home improvement stores. Samsung recommends a vertical discharge of no more than 9 feet, with a maximum of 13 feet in any direction, based on the pump's capability.

Accessory inlet hoses are available in various lengths up to 10 feet. If SamsungParts.com does not have inlet supply hoses available in the length you need, please check your local appliance, home improvement or hardware store for other alternatives.

Thank you for the question. To get your whites as clean as possible, please follow the care instructions on the garments, and select the hottest possible setting on the washer. It may help to increase your hot water heater setting to 110°F or more if hot water is safe for your garments. Bleach or other stainfighters, or different detergent may help, as well. Be sure whatever detergents you do use are HE-formulations, and if you find that whites are looking dingy, it may be because you're using too much detergent and it isn't rinsing thoroughly. If this is the case, run a Rinse & Spin cycle without any clothes to clean the washer. I would also suggest cleaning the inlet hose screens and debris filter periodically to help keep the washer clean.

You cannot change the programming of the WF209's preset cycles, but you should be able to deselect the Extra Rinse option by pressing the button on the control panel prior to starting the cycle. For more information on which cycles offer which settings, please refer to the Cycle Chart on page 25 of the user manual which can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website for your convenience.

A high pitched whiny sound is usually caused by restricted water flow. I would suggest turning off the water valves and disconnecting the supply hoses to check for debris either in the hoses themselves or in the inlet hose screens on the back of the washer. Remove the screens and clean them thoroughly, then replace them and the hoses, and turn the supply valves back on all the way.

I hope this helps!

After you are through washing you should leave the door open and wipe the rubber seal (in the groove at the bottom of the washer) with a towel to dry. Otherwise, your clothes will smell like milldew. I have had my washer for a couple of years and have never had a problem with smell. Luckily a friend told me about this when we bought the washer.

Thank you for the question. It isn't unusual for some water to remain in the debris filter housing, since it is part of the drainage system of the washer. This water is necessary to maintain an air tight seal leading to the drain pipe and prevent odors from flowing back into the washer. If there were an issue with water not draining properly, your washer would display an "nd" error on the control panel.

I'm sorry to hear there is a lingering odor in your laundry. This odor is caused by bacteria that is introduced to the washing machine from the water supply, dirty laundry and other environmental factors, and can get trapped in soap residue on the outside of the drum, as well as in the gaskets and dispenser. To effectively remove bacteria from clothes, it would be necessary to sanitize them, which would require bleach since the WF209 does not have a sanitize cycle.

To help remove this odor from the washer, Samsung recommends following the standard maintenance procedures recommended for most front load washers, which include running empty hot wash cycles with bleach, wiping down the gaskets and door between loads, cleaning the soap dispenser regularly, and leaving the door open between loads. In addition, it is very important to use only the recommended amount of HE detergent to help reduce the residue that can trap the bacteria that can lead to these odors.
