I'm sorry to hear your WF209ANW washer has an odor. This odor is caused by bacteria that is introduced to the washing machine from the water supply, dirty laundry and other environmental factors, and can get trapped in soap residue on the outside of the drum, as well as in the gaskets and dispenser. Samsung recommends following the standard maintenance procedures recommended for most front load washers, which include running empty hot wash cycles with bleach, wiping down the gaskets and door between loads, cleaning the soap dispenser regularly, and leaving the door open between loads. In addition, it is very important to use only the recommended amount of HE detergent to help reduce the residue that can trap the bacteria that can lead to these odors.
It's normal for there to be a small amount of water remaining in the drum after the load is complete, and it may drip down the sides or the door (if it is closed) as the drum settles. To determine whether the water you're seeing is the residual water from the previous load or new water entering the machine, try turning the water valves off after the load. If the "seeping" stops, then your washer may require service. To initiate the service process, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.
