I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. If the washer is being supplied with hot water from the house, and you've selected a hot water wash on the control panel but it is not using hot water for the wash portion of the cycle, please make sure the hot water valve is turned on the whole way, then check the hot water hose for bends or kinks. If the problem persists, turn off the water valve and detach the water hose to check the screens and washers both on the entry and exit ends of the hose, as well as the inlet valve screens on the back of the washer - make sure there are no clogs or obstructions. If this still doesn't resolve the issue, please use the Live Chat feature on the product support page or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you further.

There are a variety of factors that can effect your washer's ability to spin properly, and there is not enough information in your question that could help to narrow down the possibilities. I would suggest visiting the Troubleshooting Guide on this website by clicking the following link, then selecting "Operation", then choosing which article most closely describes the issue you're experiencing: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

Some likely causes of issues involving the spin cycle included the washer not being properly leveled, or the use of non-HE detergent which can cause oversudsing and prevent the washer from draining and spinning effectively. If you are unable to resolve this issue using the Troubleshooting Guide, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak to an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

If the fabric softener remains in the dispenser at the end of the wash cycle, it is likely that either:
- the dispenser drawer is clogged;
- the water is not reaching the compartment with enough pressure to flush the softener out;
- the washer is not level.

Try removing the drawer and rinsing it thoroughly with warm water to remove all detergent residue. Next, place a carpenter's level on top of the washing machine, checking both front to back and side to side leveling. If the washer is leaning forward, it may prevent the drawer from draining properly. Adjust the leveling legs as necessary, running a test "spin only" cycle before tightening the leg locks to be sure all four feet are firmly planted on the floor to prevent vibration. Finally, clean the inlet water hose filter screens and make sure the water valves are turned back on all the way.

If the problem still persists, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can assist you further and schedule service if necessary.

Question

Why the nf error message during normal wash cycle?

Machine fills fine for the wash cycle, but when it gets to the rinse cycle, I get the "nf" code on the washer, so I power it off, then back on and turn to just the rinse/spin cylcle and it fills and does fine. What else could be wrong?

Thanks for the question. I would suggest checking the supplied water pressure, which should be 20-120 psi, both water valves, which should be turned on fully, and the hose inlet screens, to make sure there are no clogs or debris.

If the problem persists, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

The whistling sound in your WF209 washer is probably caused by an obstruction of some sort in the water valve, hoses or inlet screens. I would suggest shutting the water valves off to remove the hoses to check for blockage, then remove the hose inlet screens on the back of the washer. Clean the screens thoroughly, then replace them and the hoses, and turn the water valve on completely. If the issue persists, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue with your WF209 washer. There is nothing in the washer itself that should cause items to turn brown, so I would suggest checking the water inlet hoses and screens, as well as the gaskets and debris filter, in search of any items that could be causing this discoloration. If you don't find anything in the washer, try disconnecting the hoses from the washer, and discharging a small amount of water into a separate container to see if it is clear. If the water entering the machine is clean, there is no debris in the inlet screens on the back of the washer, and you don't find any foreign items in the washer, then please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will try to assist you further in finding a solution.

Thank you for the question. If the WF209 is installed and operating properly, it should be very effective in extracting water from the clothes during the spin cycle. There are some factors that can prevent it from spinning properly, however. Please follow the link below to open the Troubleshooting Guide, then select "Operation ► Clothes Are Very Wet At The End Of The Wash Cycle / Will Not Spin At High Speeds": http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

If this does not help you to resolve the issue, please submit a service request through the link provided.

Bleach spots on towels is usually the result of too much bleach being used, which can cause the siphoning to happen too early, or the bleach is not being properly flushed through the lines. I would suggest cleaning the inlet water hose screens on the back of the washer and try pouring a bit less bleach into the dispenser cup. Selecting the Extra Wash and Extra Rinse options may help as well.

I hope this helps-

Question

My washer is not draining at all times

My WF209ANWXAA washer is not draining all the time and I am afraid that this is going to damage the machine. I have cleaned out all the drains, and checked the hoses. It will drain properly for one or two cycles, then start to act up again. I have looked on the internet and this seems to be a common problem and has been for some time. Can you offer any suggestions? I notice they say check fuses- what fuses are they refering to?

The fuses that are being referred to are probably the household fuse or circuit breaker. If the washer is not draining properly and the drain hose is not clogged and is inserted correctly in the drain pipe, and you've cleaned the debris filter through the front access panel, then try resetting the circuit breaker in your house. If the problem recurs, your WF209 will require service. Please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

Question

Why does my washer leak after I clean out the filter

it says to clean out the filter every 2 months. I drained it first using the little black hose, opened the filter, cleaned it and put it back in. The next time I washed water was on the floor, then the next time water was running down my hallway. I called the service man, he said not to clean out the filter.

Thank you for the question. If the washer is leaking from the debris filter area after you've cleaned it out, then the drain hose plug or debris filter have probably not been replaced securely. Please make sure the plug has been inserted in the drain hose securely, and the debris filter is locked in place. If replaced correctly they should not leak. If the leak is coming from somewhere other than the drain hose and debris filter access area, please click on the link below then select "Troubleshooting ► Water Related ► Water Leaks" and follow the tips provided: http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

If these suggestions do not help to resolve the issue, please submit a service request through the link provided in the article.

Thank you for the question. To get your whites as clean as possible, please follow the care instructions on the garments, and select the hottest possible setting on the washer. It may help to increase your hot water heater setting to 110°F or more if hot water is safe for your garments. Bleach or other stainfighters, or different detergent may help, as well. Be sure whatever detergents you do use are HE-formulations, and if you find that whites are looking dingy, it may be because you're using too much detergent and it isn't rinsing thoroughly. If this is the case, run a Rinse & Spin cycle without any clothes to clean the washer. I would also suggest cleaning the inlet hose screens and debris filter periodically to help keep the washer clean.

A high pitched whiny sound is usually caused by restricted water flow. I would suggest turning off the water valves and disconnecting the supply hoses to check for debris either in the hoses themselves or in the inlet hose screens on the back of the washer. Remove the screens and clean them thoroughly, then replace them and the hoses, and turn the supply valves back on all the way.

I hope this helps!
