The guide says to remove the two phillips-head screws on each side of the drawer, near the front. These screws hold the slide to the side of the drawer. You just slide the drawer off of the slides. Reverse to assemble. BUT-there's a metal plate below the drawer that prevents access to the floor. If you HAVE to get to the floor, you have to move the washer.

Are you NOT supposed to turn washer or dryer upside down when installing pedestals?

DV410AEW dryer was getting pedestals added on second delivery, man put factory bolts back in for dryer but turned it completely upside down and put on pedestal. Friends told us on side only not completely over turned. What is the correct procedure? Dryer pedestal installed but missing parts for washer. 3rd team came out. This time guy did not put in factory bolts and our machine broke. he tried to blame 2nd team for it but I told him hi did not put the bolts back in and he said they are only for transport. what is the correct way to add pedestals?

The DV448AEW dryer can be vented out the right or left side using the DV-1A side vent kit, which is available through most major retailers that carry Samsung appliances as well as through SamsungParts.com.
