How long do you let it go for? It does take about 20-30 seconds or more for water to start coming out. Read manual. Check settings.

Code 8E mean OVER CURRENT ERROR. Usually it is a Problem in the IPM (Intergrated Power Module) The IPM controls the motor. This really is a problem that would require a service techinician to help determine what is going wrong.

Based on current technology, the internal water heater in the WA5451 is activated during the Sanitize and Pure Cycle settings only. If the temperature sensors in the washer detect that the water entering the washer is not hot enough, the washer will attempt to regulate the water temperature by opening the hot water valve for a longer period of time. However, the internal heater is not designed to compensate if the incoming water from the hot water valve is actually cold. To ensure the water entering the machine is the correct temperature, some people choose to run a nearby faucet until the water coming through is hot.

Question

Why is water leaking from standpipe?

I just bought this washer and it appears that it is pushing the water out to fast for the standpipe. The standpipe is 2" pvc with a p trap and stands 36" from the ground. My previous washer that I still have does not overflow but the Samsung appears to drain entirely to fast and overflows my laundry room. I have snaked the line and it does not clog. I can run a water hose full blast down the drain for 20 minutes without overflow but the Samsung overflows every time. Is there a water pressure setting on the control panel?

I'm sorry to hear your standpipe is overflowing. I would suggest reviewing the installation instructions on page 15 of the WA5451 user manual, noting that the recommended height of the standpipe is 39". It's also important to make sure the drain hose is inserted no further than 6-8" into the standpipe. If making these installation adjustments does not resolve the issue, please submit an online service request through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

The range for warm water wash cycles is from 85°F - 105°F, and may vary depending on the supplied water temperatures. Please try cleaning the inlet hose screens on the back of the washer, then make sure both the hot and cold supply valves are turned on all the way, the hoses are not kinked, and your home's water heater is set to about 120°F. If you find the water temperature is still too hot, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

The water level is automatically set by the weight of the load. At the begining of the cycle the drum wil move slightly back and forth this is when it determines the weight of the load and how much water is needed. The High efficeinecy washers use only 16-19 gallons of water as opposed to convential washers 35-45 gallons. It might appear the water level is not suffician, I thought so at first, but the way the washer pulsates and creates a "BLOSSOMING EFFECT" it will rotate the clothes in the water and also it reciculates some of the bottom water to the top to assure full coverage.

The WA5451 does have an internal heater to boost the water temperature when Sanitize is selected, but it is not designed to compensate for an insufficient supply of hot water. In addition, the washer will not operate with only the cold water line connected.

The WA5451ANW washer measures 27" wide by 44-3⁄5" high by 28-3⁄5" deep, and you'll need about 3-4" behind the washer for the hoses and connections. For more information on installing your washer and dryer in an alcove or closet, please refer to page 13 of the user manual which can be downloaded as a pdf file from this website for easy reference.

Question

Samsung wa5451anwxaa02 washer fills acceptably 8 out of 10 times.

I get the no fill NF alert during the wash. it fills, starts a cycle and then halfway will not refill. No water changes in the lines/no water use elsewhere in the house. My only option is to restart and then the same thing happens. I have just taken out three towels soaking wet to see if I can get it to spin. Is this an example of what I should expect or should I contact the retailer?

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. If the washer is not filling properly, please make sure the water valves are turned on all the way and connected correctly to the hot and cold inlets; and check the inlet hose screens for debris. It's also important that your home's water pressure be sufficient at 20-116 psi. If the 'no fill' error persists, please submit your contact information to our support team through the link below, or call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you.

It's also worth noting that the washer's inability to spin may have other causes. If the towels are soaking wet, this would indicate a possible problem with draining. Troubleshooting tips for this can be found by clicking on the link below then selecting "Troubleshooting ► > Water Related ► > Washer Doesn't Drain or Doesn't Spin At All": http://support-us.samsung.com/cyber...

Question

does this product suddenly shut the water off at the end of a cycle or is it gradual.

the reason i ask is with this unit when the water stops on the washer it seems to shut it off abruptly which is causing the pipes to hum. when I shut the water off slowly by the manual lever the pipes do not hum. Our previous washer did not cause the pipes to hum but this Samsung product does. Any suggestions?model#WA5451ANW/X

Thanks for the question. There are different factors that can cause the pipes to hum or make knocking noises when the valves turn on or off. I would suggest checking with a local plumber for assistance determining the cause and what solutions may be available to you to resolve it.

Question

Is it safe to wash rags used with general household cleaning products (e.g., wood polish, glass & surface cleaners) in this washer?

I am considering purchase of top-loader. I use as many 'green' cleaning products as possible, and all are ammonia-free, but some do contain oils or creams (not necessarily identified on the label in detail.) I wash these now in my old top-loader..are there any special cautions with the new washers?

Question

Is there a lint trap

Since using this washer for several weeks we have noticed there is not much lint in the water drain lint trap. Maybe becuase the clothes dont take such a beating as with an agitator. Is there a lint trap on the machine that needs to be cleaned occansionally. I couldnt find anything in the manual.

Thanks for the question. Different models use different patterns for the indicator lights on the display. If your washer appears to be functioning properly and washing your clothes based on the settings you've selected, then the light sequences you're seeing are likely normal. If an error occurs, you should be alerted by a code displayed in the window, rather than by the lights flashing.

Thank you for the question. The lid is designed to close slowly at angles below 90 degrees to help prevent it from being left open accidentally which would prevent the cycle from starting or continuing, and the angle is not adjustable. We appreciate your feedback, and I'll be happy to pass your comment along to the appropriate team.
