I am having a hard time using the wireless keyboard with my new Samsung UN46ES8000. You cannot do any searches in the TV apps....the keyboard IS synched with the TV. Also how do you set up the keyboard to work with my samsung DVR and my blue-ray? There is no real instructions on how sync anything. I think there really should of been some type of instruction manual on how to use it !!!

Thank you for contacting Samsung.
Your wireless keyboard uses Bluetooth technology to carry the wireless signal and your TV is the only device that includes Bluetooth, so you will unable to pair the device with your DVR or Blu-ray player.
Please refer to the following guide for additional instructions on how to use the keyboard.
Wireless keyboard, how use to type into a "search" field

The keyboard that you listed is a Bluetooth Keyboard. Without knowing what TV that you have, that may be the issue. If you have a TV with the bluetooth option you would need to make sure that you "pair" the device with the TV.
My keyboard doesn't do alpha/numberic NetFlix search entries either; many apps don't implement the entry....you are limited to just 'mousing' around.

The wireless keyboard is designed more for the main search engine or web browser function. You will be limited when using other 3rd party apps like Netflix or Amazon.
I recently purchased Samsung Smart TV Model PN51E55 and read info about the wirless keyboard which says its a "VG-KBD1000 shown as accessory.
Why do you show this keyboard as the one for this tv and when shopping for it, I see only the 1500? Are they the same and will the 1500 work?? Sorry, if this is a question has been asked... I don't have the time to read all the the references to this keyboard.
Thanks, Almeister

The 1500 series is the newest model and effectively replaces the 1000 series. While the 1000 may still be available from certain vendors, the 1500 is the current wireless keyboard model.
I am not very techy, so am having a hard time connecting the keyboard to my TV. It keeps telling me my network failed, but I can surf the web and FB just fine so know I am connected. Help..am sure it's probably something simple

The Samsung Bluetooth 2.1 wireless keyboard is compatible with Samsung Phones & Tablets Running Android 3.0 or later, including device compatibility of 2012 Samsung LED ES6500+ and PDP E500+*.
*Universal remote function limited to only Smart Interaction TV models (ES7500 & E/ES8000)
Therefore, your TV does not meet the model requirements to use the keyboard.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. The VG-KBD1500 is probably a better experience as an actual keyboard, since it's a full-sized keyboard. However, if you'd like you can try an USB, HID-compliant keyboard from off the shelf. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!
I have a Samsung model#UN60ES6100 series TV and have purchased the New Smart wireless keyboard, but it is not working. Is it not compatible and if not what wireless keyboard is compatible with my TV? If the wireless keyboard I have is compatible how do I get it to work properly? I cannot find an answer anywhere that walks me through it. I called Geek Squad and was on hold for 25 min and then was hung up on...very frustrating...

Yes, your TV is compatible with this wireless keyboard, though it only has partial functionality. We recommend you review the article below for additional info.
I'm looking to buy the wireless keyboard that is compatible with my Smart TV. I've been doing some research and have a few questions. 1. What are the operating distances for the keyboard? I'm about 15ft from my TV. 2. Does it work with the apps that come standard on the TV?Example, if I go into youtube, can I use the keyboard to type in the search fields? Or do you have to just default to the browser with the keyboard? 3. If purchased and I'm unhappy with the product what's the return policy?

Only certain apps are compatible with the keyboard, as all non-Samsung apps are developed by their providers for Samsung products. The distance the keyboard is approximately 20 feet, but there are many factors that could potentially extend or shorten that distance.
Why won't the Keyboard operate the STB when the remote will?
The TV remote will operate my STB, but the "smart keyboard" won't????

No, this keyboard uses Bluetooth technology and this home theater system does not have a Bluetooth receiver built into it. The keyboard is currently only compatible with certain 2012 TVs.
Will this work with the 5.1 Channel Smart Home Theater System (HT-E5400)?
Since I was purchasing a SMART Blu-ray Player, I didn't think I needed a SMART TV. I am looking for a Wireless Keyboard or QWERTY Remote that will be compatiable with the 5.1 Channel Smart Home Theater System (HT-E5400). Thanks!

Thank you for contacting Samsung.
Your home theater will support a wireless keyboard, but not the Samsung wireless keyboard. The reason for this is because the Samsung wireless keyboard uses Bluetooth to transmit a signal and the Bluetooth receiver is only built into certain higher-tier models in the 2012 TV line. You can connect a HID-compliant wireless keyboard. Additional information can be found on page 29 of the user manual.
Thank you for reaching out to us. While there is not a user manual available for this particular accessory, you will find our interactive troubleshooting guide by visiting the link provided below.
No Manual exists for this keyboard, thats an issue. However I want to program my STB and Blue ray player and I can not see a set up button and then where would I find the codes for these devices are they the same as my TV.
