Question

What are the deminsions of the TV stand for the UN65C6500?

I'm trying to determine if the UN65C6500 65" will fit on my existing table and would like to know the deminsions of the stand (width and depth). This would be good info for your specifications chart.

Question

When will the USB file download be ready to fix the Netflix problem?

I have the UN55C6500VF and when I watch Netflix movie it is constantly interrupted.
I have gotten a new cable modem for high speed and I'm using the your WiFi module for the TV.
I have the same problem if I hardwire to my router.

Question

TV referenced below is at 60 Hz, but I was made to understand it has auto motion refresh at 120 Hz. See below:

Recently purchased a 55" LED Samsung TV, type #UN55C6500, Model Code #UN55C6500VFXZA, Version #SK03, Serial # ZINM3CCB101645V, 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz. Should my screen reflect 120 Hz, if so where do I find it? I wanted to purchased 120 Hz, but was told this does the same thing.

This TV is a fully capable 120Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 120Hz image. This set will always upscale your 60Hz signal to 120Hz, regardless of any settings you may have active. However, in order to receive the full 120Hz benefit (judder and blur reduction, and frame interpolation), you will need to have Auto Motion Plus active. The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box. Coincidentally, the Samsung TVs can only accept a 60Hz signal.

Question

PIP questions for the 65C6500

I was told by some salesmen that the 65C6500 has the side by side PIP (aka POP, two pictures of equal size, side by side). I understand there is only one tuner however.

When I got my 6500 setup, I found it does not have this feature, only a small PIP. Am I missing something?

Also, why is there no easy way to swap back and forth between the two PIP sources? I've seen many TV's that have PIP/POP and a button on the remote that swaps between the two pictures. That is a feature I would love to see and it seems easy enough to implement. I am using a universal remote for this TV and I have shortcut keys for turning on the PIP, changing the PIP channels and even a button for PIP swap. They all work except the PIP swap. The remote that comes with the TV does not even have these buttons. You have to dig through the menus to get to the PIP...that is a terrible design.

If the universal remote did not work for PIP/PIP channel, I would be very disappointed in this TV.

Is there anyway a software upgrade can add the PIP swap feature or even add the POP?

From the information I have, the C6500's PiP system will not have support for a half and half picture setup. Since the PiP system on this model is a 1-tuner systems, it will only allow for one cable connection to be shown at a time on the smaller screen. In order to connect it up, you will need a hard line going into the TV (cable coax) and an active secondary connection (HDMI, component, PC). To activate it up, either head into the TV's menu or click the Tools button on the remote control.

Again, you will need both a coax connection and a secondary input connection in order to properly activate and view PiP on your set. If your option is grayed out, this means that one of the required connections is not active and connected properly. Unfortunately , I do not have any additional information on the design elements of the devices.

For further information on PiP, please refer to page 24 in the units user manual.

Question

Serial and/or IP control from AMX Control systems?

Does Samsung currently have a way of controlling the UN65C6500 via either Serial RS232C or IP controls from an AMX control system? If not will you ever have any models that will be controllable. I like these TVs but if they cannot be integrated into my classroom control systems they will never work for me.

Thank you.

Question

How do you lock down various internet features on UN65C6500 LED TVs?

We are using this in our business environment and have a concern about in appropriate youtube videos, facebook or social network accounts displaying on the TV. So we would like to block out these contents.
Also we would like to block out the TVs ability to sniff out media services that people are unknowingly broadcasting on our network.

Unfortunately, at this time, there is no way to block specific services or content on the Internet@TV units. However, by not registering for that specific service, the TV will not have access to any content on the unregistered service. Additionally, there is no way to block the ability for the TV to view other media networks on your business network at this time.

I’m sorry you are having an issue with your device. Although with HDMI, it can be any number of issues, it would be best if you navigate to the Samsung Support Page and either click on the link to speak with a Live Rep directly under the “Contact Support” section in the middle of the page or request service for your device under the “Schedule a Repair” section. Speaking with a live rep will allow them to walk you through any issue resolution. Additionally, it would not hurt to check if the audio from the device that is connected to the TV is set to HDMI output. To check this, please refer to that device's manual.

Question

what is the difference between the UN65C6500 and the LN65B650 - I heard the old 65B had no glar problems and the new 65C has glare problems.

I need a 65 inch no glare and not 3D and I was hoping to buy a Samsung LCD/LED. I also noticed that although the 65B is no longer being produced it is more expensive than Samsung's latest 65 inch the UN65C6500 - Why is that - is the LN65B650 a better product....with no Glare?? Thanks, Joe

Although both the LCD-LED C6500 and the LCD B650 offer the same panel technology (LCD panel with the glossy Ultra Clear Panel), the amount of glare experienced should be about the same. Also in general, all of the 2010 Samsung TVs will cost less then their 2009 counterparts. This is because the manufacturing process for the TVs has improved and Samsung has pasted the savings to the customer.

When changing the setting on your regular sources, those settings are only applied on the source you changed the settings on and not on the entire TV. That said, you can change the picture settings on Netflix and Vudu (if the app developer allowed it) by pressing the "tools" button on the remote control while the app is running.
