What happened to all my apps

I just noticed that my smart hub is now missing many of the apps. Netflix is gone as well as many others. What happened to them?

Question

share 1 remote for samsung bd and samsung tv

I have the BD-5900 and UN60ES8000F i know it came with a universal remote with a so-called ir blaster but that's only good when connecting devices to the multiple hdmi ports on the tv, not when using a reciever and it's missing many buttons from the remote.

I have 2 almost identical button remotes one for tv, one for bd, how can i just use the TV remote for both?

I have the same TV and blu-ray, I am able to use either remote to operate both the devices. So it should definitely work for you. The only thing is you might not be able to turn on the blu-ray player, using TV remote, but selecting blu-ray player input in TV would automatically turn on blu-ray player and then you can navigate menu using tv remote. Using blu-ray player remote, you can turn on and navigate both tv and blu-ray player.

I'm pretty sure you can use it thru the receiver as well. I have a similar setup and using the AnyNet CEC functionality I am able to control my BD player using the TV supplied remote and I further found out that I am able to control the volume of my non Samsung receiver using either the supplied remote, or my Cable Set top box supplied remote - both indicating on the screen that they are utilizing the ANyNet CEC functionality.

Software Update is dimmed?

The TV said to update the software to use a particular application from the Samsung Apps - but when I go to the Menu->Support->Software Update - it is dimmed and pushing that button says the "function isn't available"???

I have had this problem. Reconnect your internet connection and the option will be " undimmed ".

You need to either connect to your modem/router via an ethernet cable or use the TV's menu by navigating to the wireless options and entering your network information. After that, there is a web browser option in the Samsung Apps page.

When will the HBO Go app be available? It is currently available for the older "D" models but not the "E" models. When I buy the latest and greatest Samsung TV model I expect it to have MORE apps than the older models not less!

Question

What are some good settings for watching NFL football?

Picture is grainy and not smooth at all when watching football or baseball. I have a high-end HDMI hooked up from the HD cable box to the tv. Any help? I will have the tv calibrated at a later date but need something for the mean time.

Seems simple. I had this same issue. It turned out that I needed to go into settings on the TV and select 1080 HD. I had not done that as I thought it was a default setting.

Hi
Can I use this firmware to my older model UA60D8000? if not what is the latest firmware for that TV (UA60D8000) and where can I download it from?
ANd why Samsung doesn't release a firmware for the D8000 Model so it will have some features like the ES Model such as the voice recognition and the face and camera if installing an external Camera?

I'm sorry for the confusion, but the ES8000's firmware cannot be installed on a D8000. Additionally, for more inforamtion and direct assistance with your specific device (since it is not a US model), I highly recommend contacting Samsung Support in your region.

How do I get volume on when I am watching a video on my usb device?

I've tried putting my reciever into video mode, nothing, Tried putting my receiver into tv mode, nothing. I'm not sure what else to do. When I go to source it takes me out of the usb device. Am I missing something?

How do you get the Remote to control the Playstation 3 PS3?

Some buttons control on the main screen but do not control FFW and REW etc. It would also be nice if the upper RGBY function buttons also showed and controlled the circle, square, triangle and X as well.

Channel setup wont find my cable channels

Why does my tv go to Digital in every time I turn my tv on?

Every time i turn on my tv it turns on and around 8-10 seconds it goes to the Digital in screen. I have the 3d reciever attached to the tv. I just want my tv to go directly to watch tv instead of having to keep going through the screens to watch tv.
