Volume level goes to 100 by itself. Is this a problem?
we were watching tv when out of the blue the volume level went up all the way. When I lowered it to zero, it shot up again. changed the batteries and turned tv off. same problem. the little red light in lower right portion is constantly flickering.....what to do? just bought this in November.
I have this TV hooked up to an AV receiver with Dolby Digital 5.1 capabilities via optical audio cable. Under the audio setting for the TV, however, only the PCM setting is available. Why can't I set it to Dolby Digital?
You will need to change the preferred audio quality setting from the internal menus of the cable box/DVR provided by your content provider. There should also be an independent setting for digital audio in the internal settings menus for any DVD/Blu-ray player, game consoles or other AV devices (should you own them).
Based on our research, 1017.1 is a later version than what is listed (1012.3) as the latest firmware available for download from Samsung's official site, so if you have checked to see if any new firmware exists or aren't being prompted to install a new firmware update, it is safe to assume you have the latest available firmware for your TV.
I'm so confused now. I received an answer from an agent in Samsung USA that the TV, UN60EH6050, is not a dual voltage TV. Also I got an answer from an agent in Samsung South Korea that the TV selling in USA this year is a free voltage TV. This is meaning that I don't need any converter when I try to use this TV in South Korea.
There are different answers to the same TV as you see above. So, please check again whether the TV(UN60EH6050) is a free voltage TV or not. Thank you.
Thank you for contacting Samsung. This model along with all of Samsung US models accepts 110 - 120 volts at 60 Hz. Please contact us at email@example.com and provide a link or some piece of contact information for the agent in South Korea so we can correct the information he gave out. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!
My firmware is up to date but movies played via 8GB USB thumb drive still stop at about 2hours. The movies work fine otherwise and any shorter than 2hours play through ok. I need help with this so I don't end up having to go back to my computer to watch the ending of 2hour+ long movies as I have in the past.
To try to correct the problem I was going to reinstall the firmware but I am not able to unzip the firmware file from your website. I am also not able to get the firmware version from the TV even though I have followed instructions.
My previous TVs had the option of setting 4 buttons on the remote to directly access my favorite channels that I program to those buttons. I was thinking that the Samsung remote would allow me to do this with the "A,B,C,D" buttons but I have been unable to figure out how to do this. it gives a this function not available when I press some of those buttons. How do you program the buttons to jump to favorite or programmed stations??
