Question

Volume control

I moved Sony to bedroom and put the new Samsung UN55ES6500 in living room connecting to my existing Kenwood Sound system. I can not get the TV Volume output to control the volume on my system. It is fixed; does not work with any output even the optical. The sound delay setup helps but would rather shut the internal speakers off but when I do that then have no sound adjustment on TV. I do not want to use the Kenwood amp to control volume just the TV. Have not found the setup that allows this to work correctly.

We're sorry you're encountering this issue with your Samsung device.

In order to access Netflix Canada, you'll need to change the country code on your HDTV via Smart Hub. Click the Smart Hub button on your remote. Once it is open, press the following keys on your remote: FF > 2-8-9 > RW. This will bring up a list of countries. Select Canada from the list. You should be aware that changing the country code will delete all downloaded apps and that it will automatically download the default apps for the Canadian version. Not all apps that are available in the U.S. hub will be available for download via the Canadian hub.

We're sorry to hear that your 2012 LED is not yet on the list of compatible models that can support this app. At this time, we do not have a known release date for this app, but we can only assume it will be available soon given how new your HDTV is. You can refer to the following page to see when your HDTV might be added to the list.

This will depend on what you are using on your TV, for optimal quality you'll need an HDMI cable from anything that you are using (plugged into) your TV to get that 1080p.

If you're more specific I will help you on that question also.

We cannot recommend specific products outside of what Samsung manufactures, but based on our research, you would need an optical (TOSLink) cable, your headphones (with included cable) and a digital-to-analog audio converter. Depending on the inputs available on the DAC, you may need to purchase a digital coax (S/PDIF) cable instead of the optical cable. A digital coax cable basically looks like a composite or component cable, but the connector is colored orange. It functions the same as optical cables if there's not an optical input on the DAC or the device that the DAC is being connected to.

Question

Having issue with internet on WiFi, as I have error msg - cannot find server?

Attached TV via Cisco Router and WPa SEC and entered security key and am attached to my wireless router and DSL modem. Says it is attached to internet and I see the MaC address in my list on the router.

After successful login where it says it is attached to router and see internet, it then Goes to message "updating" and after timeout it gives the error message that it cannot find server. What do I need to do here?

If you've completely connected, please validate that you can use Smart Hub or the other applications. If you are able to use the other applications, then try an update again in a few days.

Using the directional buttons on the TV remote, highlight the app you want to delete (there will be a white ring around the selected app), press the TOOLS button and then tab down to the 'Delete' entry and press the center button. You'll get a popup that asks to confirm deletion as it will be removed from your linked Samsung account. Select 'Yes' to remove it or 'No' if you change your mind.

Question

My TV turns off for no reason while watching.

I've checked the sleep mode setting and it is turned off, but periodically, the TV just turns off while I'm watching it. I've only had the TV for a week. There does not seem to be any consistent pattern or frequency of when this occurs. Happens at least once per day.
