Question

How do I get rid of vertical lines on LED TV?

I turned the tv when I got home a couple of days ago and there were green vertical lines on the right side of the tv. They went away after a few minutes. I update the software on the tv and when I came home yesterday it was still showing the vertical green lines on the screen for a few minutes, then goes away like before.

Question

Screen keeps going blank?

My TV screen/sound keeps randomly going blank. It will go back on by hitting the source button on remote. It is happening with all the different inputs - cable box and wii. Not sure if it is powering off completely or if it is just timing out somehow....

I have already unplugged and made sure the software is up to date... anyone have any ideas?

Question

Remote is suddenly unreliable...

The remote has become unreliable suddenly. A button has to be held for 3-4 seconds then it may register, if at all.

The issue occurred after shutting down the TV while in the YouTube App. Did not know why that would cause an issue or is just a coincidence. Now, the remote will work fine sometimes and other times is slow or will not respond at all.

I have removed the batteries and discharge the remote and have also installed fresh batteries(as suggested in the support section). There has been no improvement. I have also run the latest update as of 7-18-2013. It seems like there are "sweet spots" now where it will function sometimes, but this is also unreliable.

Is anyone else seeing this issue and is there a resolution.

Just resolved this issue for my TV. It was slow and unreliable using the remote... It would work perfect sometimes and not at all other times. I was ready to pull my hair out!

The problem: Another device's remote had a button stuck sending a constant signal. If the other device's remote happened to be pointing at the TV it caused the Samsung remote to appear to lag or not function. It was simple interference.

Solution: Remove all other remotes from the room to test if one of them is interfering with the Samsung TV remote.

Otherwise, run updates using the onboard TV controls to eliminate that possibility and remove batteries to discharger the remote and replace with fresh batteries.

Hope this helped.

Question

Channel setup

Hi, I have a UN55ES6150 smart tv. I am having hard time with my channels. Because channels are not in sequential order with 1 incremental. rather am getting sub channels like (2-1,2-2,2-3). So I just wondering is it same for all or do I need to do something to get all my channels in one digit numbers (1,2,3,4,5,6,12,15,16,24....)

Thanks,

Question

My 6150 Series audio pops with some movies at specific points, should I seek support?

I've had this TV for eight months now and I have always used the TV's built-in speaker. I noticed this issue the other day with an old movie on Showtime. The format of the movie was not widescreen and the audio crackled every few scenes. I figured it was the movie, till I noticed some slight popping while we were watching the last scene of the season finale of Game Of Thrones. We tried adjusting the basic settings of the sound on the TV, such as the auto volume, the mode, and the volume, but every time we rewound and played the last scene, we heard the popping at the time point where it was before, almost as if the speaker was having trouble with specific levels.
What should I do?

Question

LED Dimming

We have been trying to change settings to eliminate the automatic LED dimming when the screen gets dark...particularly when it seems the screen goes totally black.

We have worked with the eco settings and backlight/brightness settings, but no luck. We have researched this, and understand that it is called CE Dimming, but we cannot see how to disable this feature.

The change in black levels is distracting.

Please advise go to disable this.

Our resident TV specialist recommends you change the Eco Sensor to OFF, Dynamic Contrast to OFF, Motion Lighting to OFF and Shadow Detail to OFF. He indicates the CE Dimming is a setting in the service menu of 2009 TV models.

For the UN55ES6150, you'll want to use Samsung's Skype TV Camera, model # VG-STC2000. This camera also just so happens to be compatible with any 2012 "ES" TV that does not already have a built-in camera and that supports Skype connectivity.
