Question

No trick mode with DLNA video streaming

I have twonky dlna server from my Network Drive (WD My Book Live and Cisco E4200). I can play video from these server, but I cannot able to FF, REW, and no bookmark when I use my UN55ES6150F Samsung TV. If I use USB and connect the same HD to UN55ES6150F, everything works fine.

Also, I don't have problem playing the same media using my WD Live Plus stream player. It is clearly the limitation or problem on Samsung UN55ES6150F tv. Would there be a fix for this issue?

Question

Smart TV options audio out

I have Dish, Blue Ray, etc HDM input into Audio Receiver. Audio Receiver HDMI output into Samsung Smart TV. I am running Pandora on the TV and it will not output sound (via ARC HDMI2) to the receiver.

Are the Smart TV functions of outputting through HDMI? If not, can I sent it through optical audio out?

Thanks for the reply. I have since discovered the ARC is functioning properly. For your and other Samsung users info: I was using a HDMI wall plate by LEGRAND. I had HDMI from the receiver into the back of the wall plate (through my wall). The wall plate has a female/male jack. on the exterior, I plugged into the ARC on the TV. When I took out the wall plate, the ARC functioned as it should. Bottom line, don't use this wall plate; evidently it is not ARC compatible.

Keyboard VG-KBD1000 not working

I am trying to get the Samsung keyboard model vg-kbd1000 to pair with my UN55ES6150 tv and it is not working. Can anyone tell me if this keyboard is supported? it is supposed to work with any ES6100 and above but I cannot find any documentation to support this. Please help.

You can use your android device, instead of buying keyboard, just go to market, and download samsung remote there.

Thank you for your question. There is no official list of keyboards that work your TV. However, your manual does explain how to connect a keyboard to see if it works. Follow the menu navigation below:

Menu > System > Device Manager

Using this function, you can set up a keyboard or mouse to use with the TV. You can view your device lists and adjust keyboard or mouse settings in this menu. Note: depending on the model of the USB HID keyboard and mouse may not be compatible with your TV. Also, you can connect a keyboard and mouse at the same time.

How to delete "recent keyword searches" from SmartHub Web Browser

I see how to delete search history and browser data and that works fine. However, after performing those tasks, when you open the screen that pops up using the "search button" on the Web Browser tool bar, the "recent keyword searches" used on either Googlr or Bing, still appear . How do you delete the "recent keyword searches" from that screen?

It sounds like you need to access to clear the Search History settings for those two search engines. That can be done from within the settings on the main pages of each browser.

Why isn't wireless keyboard available for this model?

Had I known this I wouldn't have purchased this model. Its functionality is severely restricted by using (or attempting to use) the frustrating on-screen keyboard!

Amazon Video failure

Thank you for contacting Samsung. If you're using Allshare, you can find the settings for this under Tools > Background Music Setting when playing a slideshow or a viewing a set of photos.

If you want to use the automatic slideshow function, you can do so by going to Background > Music Setting > Time > On Timer > Source: USB. Then Select a folder in a USB device that contains music that you want played when the TV turns on automatically or a folder that contains music and a folder that contains photo files. If you select both, the TV will display the photos you selected as it plays the music you selected.

Network says it's connected but cannot I still get a connetion eror message

I do a network test and it says i am connected to the internet but when I select something from the smart hub I get a connection error.

I reset the TV and now cannot reload any apps like netflix and hulu

I have an android phone and it was said that the android app would not work with this TV. I downloaded apps a few days ago and both the samsung smartview and samsung remote apps work but it is missing the smartview feature (remote viewing TV on phone) but it seems everyone with any TV is having the same problem. So to answer your question I believe the iphone remote app should work or it will work with an update very soon!

Question

Anyone having luck making the UN55ES6150F use VSX-1021-K hdmi standby through?

The receiver doesn't recognize when the TV is turned on as it did w/ my Panasonic plasma set. Also after I shut off the receiver, I do get the audio to come through the internal speakers for about 10seconds before the receiver shuts down the standby through. Any thoughts on how the anynet and Control features need to be configured to play nice? do I shut either of them off?

What can I do to speed up Exercise TV? The video pauses every 20 seconds to load. Is this due to streaming? I have att&t with 2MB downstream. Is this not fast enough?

Question

Why doesn't the picture on my new TV look as highly defined as in the store?

The picture on this TV on display @ Costco is unbelievable.
I am using an HDMI cable and have only the cable box connected. I bought this TV after seeing my sister's. She also has Time Warner Cable, but her picture seems to "pop". It is ultra sharp and clear. I adjusted the cable box setting to 1080i, but there does not seem to be a huge difference between regular channels and the HD channels. Could it be the signal from the cable company? What else could it possibly be?
