I have a UN55D6400 smart tv. I purchased a WIS12ABGNX LAN adapter. The port on the tv for the LAN adapter is not USB. Do I need a different adapter

or can I plug tha adapter into a different port?

You should have a least one USB port on your TV that you can plug the adapter into.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. Connect the adapter to one of your TV's 3 USB connections. Use the one on the back of the TV for aesthetic purposes to put it out of sight. I've attached an image presenting what it should generally look like. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!

Depends on the output connections you have on your DVD player. Typically you can use an AV cable or a component cable.

After you press the source button on the remote, scroll down with the directional pad to the source you would like to change. Then hit tools on the remote and you will be able to select from a list of items to change the input name too. No custom names to my knowledge, and I think you have to actually have that device plugged in to change the name. Refer to page 14 of the quick guide users manual for more information.

From the available information, this unit will not offer the Web Browser. Unfortunately, I currently do not have any information on Samsung Apps or Smart TV features being added to the 2010 and earlier models that do not offer previously mentioned features.

I’m sorry for the confusion. At this time, none of the 2011 Samsung Smart TVs will offer the Amazon VoD service. Since each application is developed by the company that will be supplying the content to the application, Samsung does not have any information or timelines as to when the said application will become available.

This TV is a fully capable 120Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 120Hz image. This set will always upscale your 60Hz signal to 120Hz, regardless of any settings you may have active. However, in order to receive the full 120Hz benefit (judder and blur reduction, and frame interpolation), you will need to have Auto Motion Plus active. The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box. Coincidentally, the Samsung TVs can only accept a 60Hz signal.

How do we change from 720 to 1080 resolution

We have a digital cable box and it shows that the resolution is 720 and we just bought a brand new Samsung 3D 1080p 120Hz and our cable box shows the the resolution is 720 but it should show 1080. We have tried ESPND (a true HD channel) and it still shows 720 on the box.

This TV is a fully capable 1080p set and it will always upscale your lower resolution content to 1080p, regardless of any settings you may have active. The reason you are seeing the 720 in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 720 you are seeing is the signals actual resolution and not the screen’s resolution. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz or resolution in the info box.
