Great question! One answer might be, if you have a cable connection, to disable CC in the cable menu.
There's a detailed procedure describing how to do that in another post that I answered.
p.s. I'm still trying waiting for an answer to my question of how to get CC to work from a VCR player.

Great question! The answer is not easy. If you have a Cable Box input, the CC can be disabled in the
Cable service menu. As far as using the TV remote to toggle CC, you need to ask a very high level Samsung expert. Good luck!

Due to some manufacturers using different codes for their IR remotes, Samsung does not offer universal codes or support for these remotes. In order to find out your remote’s code for our Samsung TVs, it is best that you contact your remotes manufacturer for further details.

I recently hooked up the internet on this tv and was having this same issue. I was using the wireless LAN adapter. Initially, I launched Netflix and began to stream a movie and received the blackouts every 10 seconds. I closed the app and upgraded the TV's firmware (Ver.1026.0 rel. 01/03/2012). Upon launching Netflix again, Netflix was also upgraded to a new version. I have a dual band router so I also switched the WLAN connection from 2.4ghz to 5. The blackouts no longer appear. If you have the option to hard wire the LAN connection, performance may improve as well.

answer 2
From the available information, the blinking you are seeing is actually the Netflix application readjusting the resolution as your connection speed changes. Unfortunately, since this is caused by Netflix's own app, I currently do not have any information as to when this feature may be removed from the app.

Question

TV will not accept Security Key for wireless connection.

I get to Wireless (General) it finds our Network name, I hit enter and it asks for Security key. I enter our Security Key word, it looks for the connection, dosen't find it and pops up with a box that says I should unplug/plug the wireless modem and try again. After 3 or 4 attempts still nothing but what it does is disconnect the Wireless unit (D-Link DIR 615) and I have to unplug the power, wait a bit and plug it back in and that brings the Wireless unit back up. I know the TV's Wireless connection attempt disconnects the Wireless unit because a Laptop, 20 feet away stops working and the Wireless connection to that has never been a problem.
Thanks

Yes there is. It's a 1/8" mini jack. The same kind of jack on your computer's sound card, and very common with head phones. However, you will most definitely want to use externally powered speakers like the kind that are available for computers. I tried some old Labtech speakers 2-satellite and one subwoffer with external power. It worked great but, I can't control the volume without touching the speakers, bummer.

In order to change the aspect ratio (screen size), you will want to head into the TV's menu, then to the picture sub-menu. Once there, scroll down to "Screen Adjustment", then within that option, you will see the "Picture Size" adjustment. Clicking into that will allow you to change the picture size of the screen. You can also press the “P.Size” button on the remote to toggle between aspects. Please note, the Samsung TVs will not offer an Automatic Aspect Ratio system.

This TV is a fully capable 120Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 120Hz image. This set will always upscale your 60Hz signal to 120Hz, regardless of any settings you may have active. However, in order to receive the full 120Hz benefit (judder and blur reduction, and frame interpolation), you will need to have Auto Motion Plus active. The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box. Coincidentally, the Samsung TVs can only accept a 60Hz signal.

Since the audio outputs on the Samsung TVs are a fixed pass through type of connection, you would need some sort of intermediary device to control the volume. The TV actually does not have control of the volume coming out of the analogue and digital audio outputs.
