Looking for Answers about samsung 55" Class 7000 Series 3D 1080p LED HDTV?

I do not leave TV speakers and external speakers on at the same time - I just stated that to illustrate the difference in timing of the audio.

I cannot just leave the external speakers on, because that is where there is a delay, and voices, lips, sound effects do not match up to the video.

This is not just related to watching cable, happens with Blu-ray movies also.

could be your cable/sat signal. i had that on a few channels before purchasing this same model of TV. also, why do you have the tv speakers on at the same time? external AV is sufficient.

Depending on the caliber of your receiver.....you can adjust the delay in the speakers. Some receivers also have a built-in calibration SW that you simply plug in your supplied mic and run the setup. This should remove you delay issue's.
The reason you have the issue now is due to the fact that you are using a higher bandwidth cable to pass your signal than before. pretty simple to fix, and turn off the speakers on the display!

The UN55C7000WFXZA is rated @ 110-120V - 60 Hz 180W (OH YA!)

This is not a definitive answer, but I would have to say it is auto-switching 110/220V power. Most of these devices are. I will have mine in a couple of days, and I will respond again.

Look for a cable that either has a Mini_TosLink connector on one end or has an adapter for Min-TosLink. The square connector that is on your receiver or whatever you are connecting is the standard TosLink connector.

I answered this previously and I am afraid that I was mistaken. The (optical) output as suggested by the parentheses around optical is not an optical output at all. It is a mini stereo phone plug which is an electrical connection. Samsung provides with the TV an adapter which is actually an electrical to optical converter. The optical end of the converter has the standard TosLink connector. So you need a standard TosLink connector for the TV end and I would guess for whatever you are connecting.

It works with the 3D movie (Monsters vs Aliens) straight our of the box

Not that I am aware of. It doesn't have hdmi 1.4 support which is needed. There would be no firmware that could fix this. Samsung needs to tell people that better, it's the one thing I see that isn't talked about. Even on the box of 3d players it tells you that hdmi 1.4 is needed.

I can understand the confusion in between the 2010 and the 2009 Internet@TV features. For 2009, the Internet@TV units offered the Yahoo! widget engine that placed widgets on the TV screen from internet content providers like Flickr, Blockbuster and even twitter; however, there was no actual way to add additional widgets to the system. For 2010, the Internet@TV feature adds the Samsung App Engine along with the Yahoo! widget engine. This means you will not only have access to the Yahoo! widgets, but you will also have access to apps such as Netflix and Games. The apps from the Samsung App engine can be easily downloaded from the App store through your TV.

This is in fact a setting and feature of the TV. The screen brightness is being automatically controlled by the Eco Solution set of options. These options can control the brightness of the screen in relation to the brightness or darkness of the room it is in. This allows for higher power savings and helps to extend the life of your panel. To access and adjust these settings, follow these steps: Menu->Picture->Eco Solution.

You should be able to download and install Samsung Apps from wither the web based portal or from the TV itself by pressing the "Internet@TV" button. Once in the Internet@TV feature, click the "Samsung Apps" link at the bottom left hand corner of the scree. This should bring you into the Samsung Apps section with all the available Apps for your device.

I believe this set is only edge lit and will not have local dimming. It's my understanding that the 8000 series will be a hybrid of edge lit and local dimming <not sure how that works logistically though>.

From all the information I have, it seems that 1.3 HDMI will not support full resolution 3D. That said, in order to receive a 3D signal, the 1.4 HDMI standard must be used. That said, Samsung will be producing both HTiBs and receivers that will be able to pass through a 3D signal to your TV.

You can turn the 3D on the TV for anything. I watched a standard cartoon with 3D turned on and some of the objects seemed to have more depth, however it wasn't full 3D. So unless the game is sending 3D data, it's not going to be eye-blowing.

Plus, there's a friendly warning to not watch 3D for extended periods of time. :)

xx If an external device such as a DVD / Blu-ray player / HD cable box / HD STB satellite receiver supporting
HDMI version older than 1.4 is connected, the TV may operate abnormally (e.g. no screen display / no sound /
annoying flicker / abnormal color).

xx If there is no sound after connecting an HDMI cable, check the HDMI version of the external device. If you
suspect the version is older than 1.4, contact the provider of the device to confirm the HDMI version and
request an upgrade.

xx Samsung TVs support HDMI 1.4 (with 3D and Audio Return Channel). However, the ARC(Audio Return
Channel) function is only supported on HDMI IN 2(ARC).

I know that 1.3 might support reverse audio, but not specifically 3D, the TV says it will not function properly without 1.4, better safe than sorry. Hope this helps.

The UN55C7000 is a fully capable 240Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 240Hz image. This set will always upscale your 60Hz signal to 240Hz, regardless of any settings you may have active. However, in order to receive the full 240Hz benefit (judder and blur reduction, and frame interpolation), you will need to have Auto Motion Plus active. The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box.

They have Samsung products there so I don't think so but if their is a problem they must sell some kind of adaptor. If it doesn't work when you get there, go to an electronics store and ask about it.

From the info I have, ti seems that the 3D viewing will require the 3D glasses since the image will look "out of focus" otherwise.
