Why do apps with video download so slow?
I have a UN46ES6500F. One particlular app that I use in the Smart Hub menu is the Fitness app. When in use, it plays for about 5-10 secs, loads some more of the video and then keeps repeating these same steps. I was told by a Samsung rep that 2MB speeds are recommended. I tested my internet service which reads 3MB and notice that only when I run video apps on my tv, that my speed drops below 1MB. I have talked to my internet provider and there has been no service issues. This seems to a server issue that is through Samsung. Is there or will there be a fix for this issue?

I suggest that you upgrade the firmware for the TV. Just after purchasing my TV I tried to get Netflix registered and TV did not provide a way to enter the account information. After upgrading the firmware I got an onscreen form asking for Netflix account information and Netflix works well with the TV.
On the Samsung TV I found I had to update the firmware for the Netflix authorization entry to work there - the registration step that is needed first is at the TV.
Why am I either not connecting all together or getting the ERROR_MODEL_BIND when trying to connect? My connection is just fine, everything else in the home is connecting to it's Wired/Wireless ports.
Also, how do I check to see when you are planning on doing Maintenance? This would be EXTREMELY Helpful if I knew when this was actually going to happen.

I have on my computer some .mkv files with their corresponding .sub file (.mkv file and .sub file have the same name), and I'm not able to see the subtitles when I play them on my TV trough all-share, neither on my PC using the all-share player, if I try a different player on my computer, it works fine. Any idea what could be happening?

Try it now. There was a firmware update on 12/13 to handle closed caption. Perhaps that may fix the issue.

There are several issues with your question... I do want to help. 1) the remotes varying, 2) the TVs vary 3) There are many remote devices.
Therefore, I'll give the easiest answer I can think of.
When browsing the web from the browser built into the TV you will have to move the pointer using the remote control's four arrow keys into a place, such as a text entry box, that letters can be entered. Once the pointer is in position use the remote control's enter key. If this is done correctly an onscreen keyboard will appear and you move the pointer on the screen using the 4 directional arrows on the remote control to select the letters. When all the letters have been entered use the return key on the remote. If all goes well the letters you've entered will still be in the text entry box of the web browser.

We have researched this issue in your product manual and found the following answer.
To enter letters, highlight and select each letter. To enter numbers, highlight and select each number or press the number buttons on your remote. To shift to capital letters (or from capital letters to lower case), select the Caps or Shift button. To display symbols and punctuation, select 1 + star symbol. To re-display letters, select 1 + star symbol again.

We'll then need to check the firmware version of your player. Press MENU on your remote, highlight SUPPORT and press Enter. Highlight Software Upgrade (but do not press Enter). Press INFO and this will display two lines of info. We need you write down the number before the date on the first line (ex. 1005.2).
Once that is complete, reconnect the player to your network and install and configure Smart Hub once more.

This will reset your TV to factory settings, and then update the factory settings to the newest set. This should alleviate this error.

How can I turn off social networking on my TV? Every time I turn the TV on it wants me to log into Social Network so I can log into Facebook. The login doesn't work, but I have to back out of the login process to use the TV.

Why does this TV keep turning itself off and back on?
A couple of seconds after I turn the TV on it turns itself off and then back on again. Happens quite often!

How do I create an app account on Samsung.com or do I just use the login I use for my account?
I am trying to get into facebook on my tv but it tells me to create an account. Someone mentioned in a forum I read that you also need to create an app account at Samsung.com. I am not sure if this is the login I use for my account at samsung.com?

When I try to go to Facebook I am told to create a user account in the settings menu. I go to settings menu and Account Manager is not accessible - cannot click on it - it is gray.

I used to be automatically logged into smart hub when I go there. Now it says I have to login. When I enter account login and password, I only get the loading indicator in the upper right hand corner of the screen. I tried resetting smart hub. Did not work. Checked my network status and it says I'm connected. Please help.

We recommend you try again, as we recently identified a Smart Hub issue that has since been corrected.
I've been examining my network and since my two Samsung "Smart" TVs have been added I noticed issues. While examining network traffic I saw that the network is being flooded with "wifi direct" broadcast managment beacons, etc.
How can I turn off the WIFI direct? I do not wish to attach a cellphone or other device to the TV. I only use the "Allshare" app to connect to my PC via MY secure network.
Having read up on the hacks that can be made on these TVs I don't want to have to deal with a nasty neighbor bricking my TV, and the wife would be worse. :(
We have conferred with our resident television expert and he indicated that your TV model is not susceptible to hacks. Only the 2011 models were affected by this and the issue has already been resolved. He also said that there is no way to disable Wi-Fi Direct, but that SoftAP can be disabled, though hedoesn't believe that will stop Wi-Fi Direct. He recommends you secure your home network with a password if you're concerned about neighbors getting access to your network.
If you are unable to resolve the picture quality issue, given that the TV is a day old, we would first recommend you contact the vendor from which the TV was purchased to see what they'd be willing to do for you.
Your other option would be to file a service request.
