We have conferred with our resident television expert who indicates that if you leave the remote QWERTY-side up, it will constantly seek a bluetooth connection, whereas if you were to leaving it resting on the IR-remote side, it will disable the Bluetooth, thus preventing the batteries from running down so quickly. We also recommend you consider investing in some rechargeable NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries for the remote, as you can recharge them overnight when necessary.

I just talked to customer service and they pointed the way.

2011 model year ...however, many were manufactured in 2012, 1st qtr.

That's why the salesman who sold me the UN46D7000lf told me it was the "current year's" model when I purchased it in April 2012.
(A sticker on the back panel indicated a January 2012 assembly date.)

I wanted the newly released model; therefore, I regret not having done more research.

A consequence of having not done more homework is that I now own a Smart HDTV that doesn't support Amazon Instant Video via the Smart Hub Apps.

The above is an important point if this application interests you.

Using your Samsung remote:

Press The "MENU" button.

Scroll to "Network".

Within the Network window, scroll down to SWL (Samsung Wireless Link) ...press and set to the "OFF" position.

Scroll back up Network Settings and configure your wireless connection as per the steps described.

This time the configuration will load to memory properly.

The biggest thing other than sym+tab is being within 8 inches of the TV. It does not say that on the standard basic instruction manual that comes with the TV. Get up close and personal!

If it is true that there is no app for Amazon Instant Video, I am really ticked off. I bought the TV because of streaming video movies and I want to use Amazon.

The remote and the 3D glasses need to be positioned a couple of inches from the lower left side of the TV screen for the pairing process to work. This is not explained in the product manuals at all.

No. Not on the D7000. I think the D8000 one might.

The difference in contrast ratio is a pretty noticeable leap, from 15,000,000:1 to 25,000,000:1 when going from the 7000 series to 8000 series. The other main factor I see that is a relevant technology enhancement (with glasses versus without glasses is trivial and not a factor when looking at what the higher tiered TV offers to enhance your media experience) is the improvement to the Clear Motion Rate*, going from 720 in the 7000 series up to 960 in the 8000 series, which will give you a picture that is crisper and sharper in the details. Either one of these will still likely produce the most amazing visual imagery you have experienced to date on a home TV, I know it would for me.

*Samsung defines Clear Motion Rate as:
Clear Motion Rate (CMR) is a combination of advanced backlighting technology, significant improvements in panel response rates and ultra fast image processing.

I had to use an adapter for my tv to connect to my WiFi, check your settings in your router to see how man MAC addresses you already have and if you have an ACL set up as well.

Press sym+Tab for 2 seconds and release

Press and hold the enter key for 3 sec while you cursor is in the text field.

As a matter of fact, the D7000 does offer a panel refresh rate of 240hz.

if you have a HD receiver all you have to do is press the * button and it will format the screen.

I would first suggest adjusting the Auto Motion Plus and LED Motion Plus options in your TV's menu. Settings are based on your personal preference, so unfortunately, I cannot provide any incite as to how to set up your TV. I can provide you with a list of what each setting does.

Auto Motion Plus Settings:
Off- Switches Auto Motion Plus 120Hz off.
Clear- Provides high blur reduction, low judder reduction
Standard- Provides medium blur reductions, medium judder reduction
Smooth- Provides low blur reductions, high judder reduction.
Custom- Allows for customer user settings for blur and judder.
Demo- Displays the difference between Auto Motion Plus 120Hz on and off modes. The screen after applying “Auto Motion Plus 120Hz” appears on the left.

LED Motion Plus is found under the following directions:
MENU → Picture → Advanced Settings → LED Motion Plus

Auto Motion Plus is found under the following directions:
MENU → Picture → Picture Options → Auto Motion Plus
