Because that option is only available when you are connected directly to cable or an antenna. It is not available with other input types. If you connect either of these connections to the RF input and then select that input your channel option will be available.

where is the equalizer shown in the trouble shooting guide?
I have no equalizer in the sound menu, and the sound is hollow and tinny (terrible). I also looked for the HD sound setting and it is not there either.

Due to some manufacturers using different codes for their IR remotes, Samsung does not offer universal codes or support for these remotes. In order to find out your remote’s code for our Samsung TVs, it is best that you contact your remotes manufacturer for further details.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. The Amazon Instant video app is not currently available for that model, and as it is made by Amazon, we cannot comment on their development goals. Thank you for being a Samsung customer!
I was disappointed too that a TV this new did not have the app.
I have a newer Smart TV that does have it.
My solution was buying a ROKU box that connects to this TV. The box is tiny and doesn't get in the way of anything using up my 3rd HDMI slot. You can use the ROKU remote or use an app on your smart phone as a remote for ROKU. This was the only solution until I can afford a newer Smart TV.

I had this same issue & I contacted both Netflix & CenturyLink. Netflix explained that you need 4050 mbs (speed) to download. And CenturyLink explained that I only have 3 megs. I tested my speed and it came up 4.09. CenturyLink sent a technician to repair outside DSL line. I placed the router up higher & now I have Netflix. But it cuts in & out sometimes.

From the available information, the D6050 will not offer bluetooth and thus will not have support for the QWERTY remote control. Only the D6300 and higher Samsung LEd TVs will offer support for the QWERTY remote.
In order to access Captioning, you will want to head into the TV's menu, then into the setup or system sub-menu to access the CC options or to just activate it, press the CC button on the remote control. However, CC is only available via the coax cable since the CC signal has to be sent by your service provider. The CC information cannot be sent via HDMI or other secondary connections from 3rd party devices. That said, most service provider set top boxes and DVD/BD players will handle CC on board, which will then be displayed on the TV as part of the video signal. Captions are subject to your service provider’s availability.
I am noticing jerky video ocassionaly on my new samsung LED tv. Especially notice when viewing tv shows like Modern Family where it happens more than a dozen time during the 30 minute show. I am still in my 90 day return period and am planning on returning it unless I can get this resolved. I tried a software upgrade but it said I was up to date with version T-GASAKUS-1019.2. Are you planning on fixing this in an upcoming upgrade?
Also, am I supposed to have an internet browser in the smart apps

To alleviate the jerkiness of your image, I would first suggest adjusting the Auto Motion Plus and LED Motion Plus options in your TV's menu. Settings are based on your personal preference, so unfortunately, I cannot provide any incite as to how to set up your TV. I can provide you with a list of what each setting does.
Auto Motion Plus Settings: Off- Switches Auto Motion Plus 120Hz off. Clear- Provides high blur reduction, low judder reduction Standard- Provides medium blur reductions, medium judder reduction Smooth- Provides low blur reductions, high judder reduction. Custom- Allows for customer user settings for blur and judder. Demo- Displays the difference between Auto Motion Plus 120Hz on and off modes. The screen after applying “Auto Motion Plus 120Hz” appears on the left.
LED Motion Plus is found under the following directions: MENU → Picture → Advanced Settings → LED Motion Plus
Auto Motion Plus is found under the following directions: MENU → Picture → Picture Options → Auto Motion Plus
If these options do not alleviate the issue, please contact Samsung Service.
Additionally, from the available information, this unit will not offer the Web Browser. The Browser will only be available on the D6300 and the D6900 and higher LED TVs and the D8000 Plasma TV. Unfortunately, I currently do not have any information on Samsung Apps or Smart TV features being added to the 2010 and earlier models that do not offer previously mentioned features.
In order to access Captioning, you will want to head into the TV's menu, then into the setup or system sub-menu to access the CC options or to just activate it, press the CC button on the remote control. However, CC is only available via the coax cable since the CC signal has to be sent by your service provider. Why isnt the Qwerty Remote Not included in package
I bought this Smart TV from BJ's sometime back. I have seen QWERTY remote at one of my other friends place who has a Samsung smart TV too. I was wondering why I did not get a qwerty dual remote.

Although a universal remote would be much easier to set up in this fashion, the Remote that comes with the TV can only be used with the TV itself. The Samsung TV's remote is not a multi-device universal remote. If you have Samsung devices that offer Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) connectivity, then you may be able to use your one TV remote to control said devices without having to program anything.
I just purchased un46d6050 samsung tv and want to mount it with a mount that both tilts and swivels. What does Samsung recommend?

Unfortunately, Samsung cannot recommend any specific wall mount besides our own. Since Samsung does not produce a tilting mount, I would have to say any wall mount that offers a VESA bracket size of 400mm x 400mm should be compatible for use with the UN46D6050.

The source you should have your TV on for watching content from a home theater system depends on what input on the TV you have the system connected to. Please check which input the system is connected to, then open the source menu and select the corresponding source (if you have the system connected to HDMI1, then select HDMI1 in the source menu).
Everytime I shut off the TV it changes 1 setting to off. This setting is under under Menu - System - AnyNet+ (HDMI-CEC) - Receiver. Everything works fine when I change the setting back after turning the TV on and the system is NOT in demo mode (it saves all other settings). This is a Smart TV model # UN46D6050TF. Thanks in advance.
I’m sorry you are having an issue with your device. With the information you have provided, it would be best if you navigate to the Samsung Support Page and either click on the link to speak with a Live Rep directly under the “Contact Support” section in the middle of the page or request service for your device under the “Schedule a Repair” section. You could also try performing a firmware update and see if that solves your issue. Please have your TV's exact model number and serial number ready for faster assistance.
My 46" Samsung LED HDTV 1080p 240Hz is Series 6, Model 6050 (TFXZA). Is it 3D & why don't I see it in other stores?
The carton & manual don't mention 3D (which I didn't want anyway). I also never see the "Series 6" (not 6500) with 240Hz in any other stores yet the carton specifically noted it's 240Hz. It IS a new TV from reputable store. Why do I never see this model listed on websites or in stores (I only ever see the 120Hz). What's Samsung's retail price on MY specific TV and IS it a 3D (I don't have the glasses so am curious). Is it already discontinued perhaps?? ALSO, can I use computer screen cleaner on the soft cloth to clean the TV screen or ONLY warm water? Thanks much!

I'm sorry for the confusion, but the D6050 is not a 3D TV. Also, since the D6050 is a Warehouse Club exclusive model that is only available as select Membership Retail Outlets, it will not be available at your normal retailers. Additionally, The D6050 is not a 240Hz TV, it actually only offers a 120Hz panel refresh rate with a Clear Motion Rate of 240 (not 240hz). CMR is Samsung's more comprehensive and accurate measure for TV motion clarity.
The three keys to world-class motion clarity:
* Panel refresh rate: Samsung's screen refresh rate significantly improves motion detail and resolution by sampling the image more frequently, leading to smoother, more fluid movement. * Image processor: Samsung's proprietary image processing technology is faster and more responsive than conventional image processors, as it interpolates intermediate frames to smooth out the image. * Backlight technology: Samsung's backlight regulates output precisely in synchronization with the screen refresh to lessen the time it is lit, reducing ghosting and motion blur.
Please note, the CMR rating is not a refresh rate. This means that the CMR of this set is 240, but it does not mean that it supports 240Hz.
