Use either the standard AV cables that came with the Wii or purchase the Component cables. Most Samsung TVs only come with one Component input that also doubles as standard AV (or composite). If you have more than one Component or Composite device you will need to purchase a "switcher" that can connect more than one component device to the same input.

Please note: you will not be able to run composite cables through a switcher that is connected to the TV with component cables.

Go back into the set up menu and switch the mode from store demo mode to home mode. You should have been given this option when you first set up the T.V.

Most satellite companies provide this for you through the on-screen menu on their receiver.

For example with DirecTV access the Settings/Set-up area of the Menu and then find Remote Control set-up. On-screen directions will tell you how to program the remote and give you various codes based on TV manufacturer.

The TV should automatically use the best resolution possible depending on the source/content connected/viewed.

For example connecting a Blu-Ray Player will automatically set the TV to use 1080p. Or HD digital cable will set the TV to 720p (the highest setting available for broadcast TV).

If you have an HD cable box connected make sure you are using an HMDI or Component cable for 1080p and make sure the settings on the box are for 720p and/or 1080p.

Although this model does not have direct access to Samsung Apps (like Netflix, Pandora or YouTube), it can access App content through a 2010 Samsung BD player (the blu-ray player will handle the Internet content processing. Hulu+ is only available on the 2010 3D Blu-Ray Players at this time). Unfortunately, there is currently no information on upgrades to Samsung Apps for the 2009 and earlier TVs and the current generation non-Internet@TV TVs.

Question

Can I change startup options to have my TV go directly to the AllShare menu or maybe provide me an option to "bookmark" my content library?

I am using my TV (UN46C5000QF) as a DLNA DMR (digital media renderer), and the only A/V input I use is the Ethernet connection to my home network. I play content on this this TV primarily from my Windows Media Center residing on a Windows 7 PC on this same network and visible to the TV via AllShare. When I boot up the TV, I need to go through 7 keystrokes to get into the AllShare menu, and then another 7 keystrokes to get to the appropriate content library containing the media I would like to play. Have you considered providing the option to have me be able to "bookmark" where I want the TV to return to on Startup? While I am finding that DLNA capabilities of this TV to be outstanding, it is a pain to have to go through the same 14 keystrokes everyday...

This unit does actually have a 1-tuner PiP system. PiP 1-tuner systems only allow for one cable connection to be shown at a time on the screen. In order to connect it up, you will need a hard line going into the TV (cable coax) and an active secondary connection (HDMI, component, PC). To activate it up, either head into the TV's menu or click the Tools button on the remote control.

Again, you will need both a coax connection and a secondary input connection in order to properly activate and view PiP on your set. If your option is grayed out, this means that one of the required connections is not active and connected properly.
