This unit does actually have a 1-tuner PiP system. PiP 1-tuner systems only allow for one cable connection to be shown at a time on the screen. In order to connect it up, you will need a hard line going into the TV (cable coax) and an active secondary connection (HDMI, component, PC). To activate it up, either head into the TV's menu or click the Tools button on the remote control.

Again, you will need both a coax connection and a secondary input connection in order to properly activate and view PiP on your set. If your option is grayed out, this means that one of the required connections is not active and connected properly.

Make sure the DirecTV box is connected with either component cables or with HMDI, they are they only way to achieve 1080p resolution.

On the DirecTV on screen menu under settings confirm that 1080p resolution is checked, you may uncheck the lower resolutions if you wish but it's best to have 720p also checked (on).

From the available information, the Samsung Remote Control for iPhone is only compatible with the 2010 Samsung Internet@TV enabled TVs. Unfortunately, the C5000 does not offer Internet@TV, and therefore, that app will not be compatible.

Make sure the DVD player is a "universal remote", and please refer to the DVD maunfacture website or manual.

Samsung TV's and DVD's/Blu-Ray's can use the same remote (may or may not require connection with HDMI cable).

Depending on the source you are watching the TV with adjust to what is available. HD channels are only in 720p (over-the-air, Comcast, DirecTV, etc), some purchased content (such as some movies purchased from DirecTV) are available in 1080p. Other 1080p sources include Blu-Ray movies.

Possible quick fix: make sure you are on the correct input on the TV.

Long-term solution: you should connect your DVD with either HDMI or Component cables.

Using a yellow video cable is not going to utilize your HDTV in the best way, upgrading your cables (if your DVD playing have compatible inputs/outputs) is the best solution. If your DVD player does not have these output options you may way to consider upgrading to newer DVD or Blu-Ray (they also play DVDs) to maximize your TV watching experience.

You can't connect the TV directly to a computer with an ethernet cable.

For an internet connection the ethernet cable needs to be coming from an internet modem or router.

To view computer content on the TV please use a video cable compatible with your computer Depending on your computer equipment you may be able to use the dedicated PC input (on the TV) or an HDMI input.

Chances are you can program your cable box remote to change the volume on your TV or Audio receiver.

With DirecTV you can follow simple instruction on how to do this by accessing the on-screen menu and going to 'settings'.

An alternate way to control the volume is to connect your cable box through an audio receiver using an HDMI (from cable box to audio receiver to TV), however you may still need to program your cable box remote to control either the receiver or TV now.

Use a DVI to HMDI or DVI to PC cable.

You will most likely need a special dongle that came with your Mac to connect to the DVI side of the cable and the TV can (most likely, depending on model) take HDMI or PC. Make sure you change the source on the TV to the correct input.

for sure you will need to run an AUX cable from the Mac to the TV, to either the "HDMI/DVI" audio jack or the optical audio input (again depending on model)

Use either the standard AV cables that came with the Wii or purchase the Component cables. Most Samsung TVs only come with one Component input that also doubles as standard AV (or composite). If you have more than one Component or Composite device you will need to purchase a "switcher" that can connect more than one component device to the same input.

Please note: you will not be able to run composite cables through a switcher that is connected to the TV with component cables.
