Question

Remote Control - Samsung Keyboard compatibility

I was wondering does the Samsung VG-KBD2000 work with this TV. Samsung 40 LED 6300? If it does not please recommend a keyboard that will work with this TV if that is possible to do.

Does the universal smart remote support controlling an LG soundbar?

Thanks,

The Samsung VG-KBD2000 does not work with the Samsung 40 LED 6300. The keyboard I use is the Logitech MK-320. The keyboard also comes with a mouse. I have encountered no problems with this keyboard. The universal remote is capable of controlling the LG soundbar. The IR extender which came with the TV must be plugged into the IR out port on the rear of the TV. Face the extender toward the soundbar remote sensor with a distance of at least 2 inches. Turn on the soundbar and TV. Press the SOURCE button on the universal remote to bring up the SOURCE screen on your TV. Select Universal Remote Setup from the screen. This initiates the setup. Follow the on screen instructions. Enter the LG model manually if it does not work the first time.

Question

AllShare Cast Screen Mirroring

Will there be an update to fix the connection between device and television(UN40F6300AFXZA) using the Allshare cast mirroring software? I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 on the latest Firmware(sprint#, it says its connected on both the Tv#UN40F6300AFXZA# and phone but closes connection within 10 seconds of the actual device being connected, no error message. Does the Screen Mirroring only work with tablets and not cell phones? I was under the impression you needed the dongle to connect for mirroring, is the dongle built into the Tv#UN40F6300AFXZA)?

My Connection: UN40F6300AFXZA hard wired into my Linksys e3000 router, and Samsung S3 via Wifi. I Also tried the UN40F6300AFXZA via wifi.

Thank you for contacting Samsung. Allshare Cast and mirroring is supported on you model TV. AllShare Cast and mirroring will work between your TV and a mobile device if the device supports AllShare Cast. Your TV and mobile device would need to both be accessing the same wireless network.

Here is a link to the user manual for your TV it will explain AllShare Cast setup in detail: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201304/20130411173919484/[ENG_US]X12ATSCF-1.114.pdf

The decision to keep the TV's original box is a personal choice. Because of the TV's size, should any service ever be required, a technician will be dispatched to your home or business, so there will be no need to ship it anywhere.
