Thank you for contacting Samsung.
We recommend you delete and reinstall the HBO GO app. (You might also cycle the power of your Blu-ray player after uninstalling before you reinstall it).
1. Launch Smart Hub and wait for it to load. 2. Press the yellow letter C button on your remote to enter Edit Mode. An edit bar displays on the bottom of the screen. 3. Using the navigational arrow buttons on your remote move to the App you want to delete and press enter. A green checkmark will appear to the left of the App. 4. Using the bottom arrow on your remote move down to the Edit bar and then scroll right until Delete is highlighted and press enter. 5. A confirmation prompt displays, highlight yes and then press enter. The selected Apps will be deleted and a confirmation message will display. 6. Press the yellow letter C button on your remote to exit Edit Mode.
You are welcome to try connecting a USB keyboard or a wireless keyboard with USB Bluetooth dongle to one of the available USB ports to test compatibility with your TV.
I wish to mount the TV onto a wall mount bracket, and need to know the proper screw size. Couldn't find it listed in the manual nor on the downloaded manual either. Quick web search didn't help either. Local hardware store has M6 and M8 screw in assorted lengths, but also a variety of thread pitches.
Thank you!

Knowing that the screw size is M6 is helpful, HOWEVER! The hardware store has M6 screws in 3 DIFFERENT PITCHES, ie. the number of threads per inch. I need to know HOW MANY THREADS PER INCH.
Thank you!

Thank you for contacting Samsung.
Based on our research, for a normal HDTV mount, you would need four M6 screws to mount your TV. The VESA screw holes specs are 200 X 200 mm.
For an ultra-slim HDTV mount, you would need four M8 screws to mount your TV. The VESA screw holes specs are 400 X 400 mm.
Many of the sites accessed on the web browser require Flash Player in order to watch shows. When I try downloading to my Smart TV, a message appears saying "unable to download."

Thank you for your question. While your TV has many of the latest, cutting-edge features, it is still not quite a computer. There are limitations to its capabilities. One of them is that users cannot update Flash by themselves. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be to you.
The Logitech K400 wireless touch keyboard works with Samsung LED TV model #UN40ES6100. It's great because the keyboard and mouse (touchpad) are integrated. Just plug the unifying receiver into a USB port on the TV, turn on the keyboard, and you should be good to go. Keep in mind that the keyboard only works with the Web Browser. You will still need to use the TV remote to navigate with Netflix, Pandora, etc.

Same problem. Clicked netflix ap on smart hub but would not connect to netflix to give me an authorisation code (had laptop logged on to netflix at same time). Tried seveal times. Then went to web browser and put in new web address netflix.com/login. Put in name and passoword for my netflix a/c and checked remember me. Logged on but could not get service -- said my computer did not have correct software. Then went back to netflix icon on smart hub page, clicked and went straight into netflix and got full service. In other words managed to log on every time without going the authorisation code route.

We apologize for the delay in contacting you regarding this issue. We suggest you go to the Network Status screen (of the Network Menu) and wait about 5 minutes, then go to Smart Hub and launch Netflix. This will allow the TV to properly obtain the ESN # from the server that controls the DRM (Digital Rights Management).
We would also suggest you apply a recent firmware update that was released on 5/15/2012. Please reference the following article on how to check for firmware updates using the device menus.
If you have any additional questions, we suggest your refer to your product manual or the product support page on our website, where you'll find a comprehensive troubleshooting guide, product support videos, FAQs and How-Tos, as well as manual, driver & software downloads.
I tried to install Firmware Update 1016.4 on my TV via USB. The TV recognized the USB, but said there were no updates to install. The current version on my TV is 1016. I just bought my TV a few weeks ago and since the 1016.4 version is dated July 9th I assumed that it would accept the update.

Have you attempted to update the firmware through your home network? We suggest you try that method if you have not already done so.
I can't find much information as to what keyboards are compatible with this TV. If there is a web browser app then it makes sense that a keyboard should be easy to set up. My apple USB keyboard doesn't work. Please advise.

I have a RocketFish USB wireless keyboard and mouse combination. I plugged the USB dongle into the USB port. Turned on the keyboard and mouse and my UN40ES6100 TV detected the mouse and keyboard. This works great. The soft keyboard for use with the Samsung Remote is hopeless.
RocketFish Model number: RF-CMB02 (MorFE4UL and KBRF04U00.

Question
Is there any way to turn off the menu sounds?
I'm so tired of hearing the annoying sounds every time I push a button or change a setting on my TV that I'm seriously considering taking it back if I can't disable them. When I'm watching something with low audio, the menu and volume adjust sounds are way too freaking loud. I've looked all through the manual and at every menu setting I can find but can't see anyway to disable it. I'd appreciate it if anyone could help me.

Yes, you can! Press the Menu button on your remote (make sure it is in TV mode), then scroll down to the System menu and press the right arrow to enter the menu. Now scroll down until you reach the General settings and press the enter button (in the center of the arrow buttons). Scroll down again until you reach Sound Feedback and press enter again. A pop-up menu appears with your choices of Off, Low, Medium and High (Medium is the default setting). Scroll to the volume you would like, press enter, and you're all done. Press the exit button to close the menu.
If you would like to view a list of what apps are available for your TV, open the link below and if you are not immediately prompted to choose your Samsung model from the tiered drop-down menu, click "Show Apps for a Specific Device", select your model and a list of the apps currently available for your device will be shown.

every couple of days the "Smart TV" says not connected to network
After using Netflix or Pandora and then trying to get back on netflix or pandora the systems says not connected to network and does not list the network. I either have to go through the complete network set up or wait a day and the system usually works again. I know the network is working because I can access netflix or pandora through my blue ray player connected to the TV. I shouldn't have to do this with a Smart TV.

I had been able to connect to the internet until yesterday. I tried and the TV eliminated all of my apps and won't connect to my wireless system (which it had previously). I go to set up and connect and it seems to connect without a problem. But, when I try to go on line or the the Samsung App Store, it tells me I'm not connected and gives me an error message.

My TV is only a month old and a few days ago I started seeing an issue appear every so often. Sometimes when I'm adjusting the volume the TV will not respond. The light flashes on the TV as it's receiving the remote signal but no change in volume and it does not even display the volume slider on screen. When this happens I try another remote and it makes no difference. Seems as if it's the TV.. not the remote. If I turn the TV off and then back on again then it works fine.
Anyone else experience this behavior?

Why does my TV sometimes not respond to volume control ?
TV is 1 month old and I started to see this happen every so often. It will be working fine and then when I go to change the volume, the red light on the TV flashes as it's getting the remote signal.. but the volume slider will not display on the screen and the volume does not change. If I turn the TV off and then back on again it works fine.
When this happens I have tried different remotes as well and they do the exact same thing. And when I turn the TV off and then back on again all remotes work fine.... until the problem randomly appears again later.
So... Has anyone else seen this? I sure hope my new Samsung Smart TV is not already having issues.

We recommend you work through remote troubleshooting to rule out the remote as a possible issue:
Hello, we finally connected our desktop wirelessly to the TV so that we can stream videos and music wirelessly to the TV. However, the connection seems to be timing out every 13 mins. The only way seems to be shutting down the tv and restarting it and it detects the computer again to start playing. We could not figure out if it is an issue with the computer or TV.
