I had the same issue. Put the face down on the bed or soft surface and unscrew the section attached to the TV. When reattaching that part move it around until it fits in completely flat in that slot. That' s it !

Question

I need a few replacement screws for the stand attachment, how can I get them?

I have 3 screws missing, when I purchased the device ( I purchased it as a floor model) The 1st screw is missing from where the stand attaches to the rotational base, the 2 other screws are where the stand attaches to the TV unit.

I'd like to know how to order these screws or replace them.

Question

Does my new TV supports PAL format?

Hi, I have purchased Samsung 40" 5050 series TV and its model number is UN40EH5050F.

I have bought this in USA and after using it here, I would like to take this to India (my home country).

Please could you confirm whether it supports PAL format as most of the dish connections in India has this format? And also, please confirm whether this supports power upto 240 Volts?

Regards,
Venu

Thank you for contacting Samsung.

There are mainline power differences between the USA and the rest of the world. There are also different formatting requirements for these different countries. This formatting may be incompatible with the TV. Before the customer decides to take the TV out of the country, please make these considerations:

1. The USA is on a 110v 60hz power standard, where-as most other countries use a 240v 50hz standard. A converter would be needed to power the TV in a country using the 240v system.

2. TVs purchased in the USA are not compatible with the PAL broadcasting system without a converter.

3. The US standard frame rate is 30 frames per second (FPS), whereas the PAL standard is 25 FPS.

4. If the TV is removed from the USA, it will need to be shipped back into the country to have any service under Samsung's warranty. The warranty only applies when the TV is the USA.

Question

What is the most recent firmware for the un40eh5050 led tv?

When i went to update my tv's firmware it was a higher number than the firmware i downloaded from this site, does that mean anything? I'm starting to wonder if i did a rollback instead of an update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your question. Your TV produces a fixed audio out signal. So while you may connect it up that way, unless your earphones supply a separate power source, you cannot decrease or increase the volume.

Thank you for contacting Samsung.

You don't need to tune to a specific channel to view DVD or VCR content. You need to power on whichever device you wish to use with the TV and then press the SOURCE button on your TV remote to switch to the proper input source depending on the type of connection cabling used.

Question

On Modael 5-5050 40"LED TV, is this set supposed tomhave a slight slant on the stand? Ours tilts slightly back toward the top of the set.

This is our 2nd 40" Samsung TV, and the first stands straight up, but the second, newer model 5-5050 seems to lean backwards in the stand. We cannot find another way of placing it in the stand. Does it, or should it stand perfectly straight from top to bottom edge?

Thank you for contacting Samsung.

We have consulted with our TV specialist and he indicates that the firmware with the higher number is almost always the latest. The best way to rule that out is that if you attempt a firmware update over the TV while networked and there are no new updates, your TV has the latest firmware. You still have the option to check online and apply the firmware via USB as well.

Thank you for contacting Samsung.

At this time, there is not a way to remove any registered items from your online account. Please know that Samsung is aware that customers wish to have the ability to remove any registered products they no longer own from their accounts. At this time, the only recommendation we can make would be to delete the account associated with the products you no longer own and create a new one.
