Although this model does not have direct access to Samsung Apps (like Netflix, Pandora or YouTube), it can access App content through a 2010-11 Samsung BD player (the blu-ray player will handle the Internet content processing). Unfortunately, I currently do not have any information on Samsung Apps or Smart TV being added to the 2010 and earlier models that do not offer said features.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you,

Although the Samsung TVs offer a variety of calibration options (Brightness, Color, Tint, ETC. ), unfortunately Samsung cannot suggest any specific calibration numbers since every calibration has to be done based on the preferences of the customer performing the low level calibration.
Perhaps other users on this forum may be able to better help you out.

Currently, the only wireless adapter that can be used with the appropriate Samsung TVs is the Samsung Linkstick WIS09ABGN. The reason for this is that all other usb wireless adapters require drivers to work. Since there is no feasible way to transfer and save hundreds of different drivers for each adapter on the TVs, Samsung created a USB wireless adapter that will work 100% of the time (plug-n-play), with out drivers.

All UN, PN and LN units (North American Units) will only have support for NTSC/ATSC/QAM broadcasting systems and NA power systems. Since the NA TVs will not accept a PAL signal or Non-NA voltages, you will not only need a converter for the broadcast, but also for the power if you would like to use the TV in a PAL country. Unfortunately, I will not be able to recommend a specific converter since Samsung cannot offer support for products we do not manufacture.

The soap opera effect is not available with the D5500 series. The soap opera effect has to do with the refresh rate. The 120 Hz and 240Hz refresh rate is the cause of the soap opera effect.

This model TV doesn't do that unless you use a device that supports two-way HDMI communication. I just hit the INPUT button on my remote for the changing to my sat box or the VCR. My Samsung blueray player using an HDMI cable does autoswitch, or auto detect source, but it's a compatible device. Many other blueray DVD players will support that auto switch feature, but your cablebox and VCR most likely don't support that auto detect source feature.
I know my Time Warner Cable box didn't support auto source detection when I was with the cable, my Magnavox VCR doesn't either.

Question

Select Service Provider -- Not Finding Time Warner around 45342

I am going through the setup, and the TV does not find any cable providers for 45342. My provider is TimeWarner, and I have tried other zip codes in my area. It does, however, find a listing if I select OTA.

Does anyone know what specific zip code to enter for around 45342 so the TV can recognize the cable lineup for Time Warner cable. In this instance, the TV is connected directly to the cable and there will be on set top box.
