Questions & Answers for samsung 32" Class 6500 Series 1080p LED HDTV

Question

Startup screen won't go away!

Every time we turn the TV on, we get the set up walk-through. It never seems to remember that we've told it time and again that we are using it for Home Use, etc. We have the cable box plugged into the HDMI port as suggested but there is no coax or antennae plugged into the TV port, because we don't have an antennae or coax cable input. Even when "scanning" the channels from the dead coax input and it finds nothing, it still starts up with the welcome walk-through.

Any suggestions? Is there some secret dance that must be performed?

Question

Anynet control questions

I have a UN32C6500 that will be built into my kitchen cabinets with a millshop bezel and I want to be able to control the TV even know the infrared sensor will be blocked for aestheticst. Will anynet work if I have infrared control over one of your receivers to communicate to the TV to power on/off and and control it? Or does anynet only work with a TV remote through the TV to control other devices? If this is not possible is there an easy way to control the TV with an IR repeater? Is there the proper connections on the TV for a repeater?

Anynet+ will should only work with the TV remote and through the TV itself, allowing the unit to control other Samsung devices that are connected via HDMI. Although an IR blaster may work (the IR receiver on he TV is located at the bottom right of the bezel), Samsung cannot recommend a specific IR device for use with the TVs since Samsung doesn't not produce such a device. I would suggest contacting your local A/V specialist for further assistance.

Although the WMN1000 would support the weight of the TV the mount is designed for TV's 40" and larger. If used the support wire would be visible above the bezel.

This TV is a fully capable 120Hz set and offers the Auto Motion Plus feature that enhances said 120Hz image. This set will always upscale your 60Hz signal to 120Hz, regardless of any settings you may have active. However, in order to receive the full 120Hz benefit (judder and blur reduction, and frame interpolation), you will need to have Auto Motion Plus active. The reason you are seeing the 60Hz in the info box is because the info box only displays the signal’s actual Hz and screen resolution and not the info of the picture on the screen after the TV processes it. Meaning that the 60Hz you are seeing is the signals actual Hz and not the screen’s Hz. Currently there is no way to display the screen’s Hz in the info box. Coincidentally, the Samsung TVs can only accept a 60Hz signal and there are currently no consumer devices on the market that will transmit at over 60Hz (excluding some PCs).

Question

Picture is TOO CLEAR

I'm not alone in what may seem to be an odd complaint, but the TV makes everything look like it was shot on cheap video tape. Everything is ultra-crisp and clear and it's annoying. How do I get back that "cinematic" look to movies I watch? Is it fuzziness? Just a sense of depth to the picture, I think....
