UN22D5003BFXZA FIRMWARE UPDATE PROBLEM

TV: UN22D5003BFXZA

My TV worked fine prior to installing "Upgrade File(USB type) (Firmware) (ver.1007.0) Firmware for picture improvement on SD picture All OS Oct 9, 2011 ENGLISH 3.54"; after the update, I remain unable to view channels or pick up any channels during a channel scan. Currently support section reads version: "T-MX5FAUSC-1007.0" I tried reinstalling the update, and the update reads current version. Please send original firmware or correct issue accordingly.

UN22D5003BF switching to 720p on a PS3

Just wondering why when I play a game on my PS3 it switches over to 720p instead of 1080p. Is there a way I can change this on my tv? Thanks.

You cannot change the resolution of the TV. It is always 1080p. You can only change the input signal's resolution, so the PS3 is outputting 720p. If the TV receives a 720p signal, it will scale the image up to 1080 (see attachment), like zooming in on a digital camera photo. But, the lower the resolution, the larger it is scaled up and the worse it will look. So, if you receive the 720p signal and then stretch it to fill 1080p, you will lose picture quality and even moreso with 480p.

Video recording

This TV is connected to a DTV standard receiver. I can connect a VHS player/recorder and watch a video but is it possible to connect it somehow and be able to record shows on VHS tapes?

Question

Does my set have a QAM Tuner?

My cable company is going all digital, and I can't receive the digital channels. I've rerun plug and play set for it to do both analog and digital with no luck. Also auto program and anything else I could think of with no luck. Hopefully you can help, cable will be all digital by Aug 7th and I'll have no channels. Thanks for your time, Frank

Thank you for contacting Samsung. Your model supports a clear QAM signal. These are unencrypted channels. If your cable provider is encrypting the channels, you'll need to contact your service provider to arrange for getting a set top box.

How do I know what firmware/ software is on my TV and if I should upgrade it?

Question

Remote control frequency

I purchased a un22d5003bf led television to act as a monitor for a computer. However the remote interferes with a older Samsung tv I also have in the same room. And the remote for my older Samsung tv interferes with the un22d5003bf. When I say interferes, I mean both remotes work on both televisions. Is there a way I change the frequency on one so this will not happen?

Question

why wont my samsung un22d5003bf led tv receive antenna signal after upgrading the firmware, downloaded from the samsung website?

I downloaded the latest firmware , put it into a usb drive and plugged it to the LED TV, it accepted it , but now ,the LED TV wont pic up any signal. Is there a way to fix it ?
