Thank you for contacting Samsung.

We have looked on the product support page for this device and there is no manual. Additionally, if no manual came with the glasses when purchase, this is further indication that a manual was never produced. Nevertheless, if you have questions about the glasses, we recommend you refer to the troubleshooting guide for the glasses.

Yes, I've charged them with my TV as well as my computer, cell phone charger, PS3, and AV receiver. I have a few USB to micro-USB cables from cell phones and the like, and I had a problem with just one of them not charging the glasses. I don't know why that particular cable doesn't work, but all other USB to micro-USB cables I've tried, including the one that comes with the glasses, work fine.

Didn't work for me. I used my cell charger and after being on the charge all day it never changed from the blinking red. I switched to the chord that came with the glasses and 2hrs later all charged. Thought maybe my connection was loose but then again it would not have been flashing red I'd suspect which tells me it was getting signal.

Question

Where is the Serial Number?

On one earpiece, there is the notation SN: but no number. On the other, the numbers do not appear to be ID'd as a serial number. There is one number in about 2pt type, totally unreadable. Cannot register without the serial #!

The SN is on one earpiece, right next to SN notation. You cannot see it unless you tilt the glasses sideways. It is not easy to see so use plenty of light. Just the first half of the SN matches the S/N number of the box. In my glasses the SN was 15 letters and numbers.

I have tried a mini-usb charger for my cell phone, the usb that came with the glasses plugged into my computer and neither seem to work. There is no Red, Orange, or Green light when plugged in. I cannot get it to go into pairing mode either which tells me hte battery is dead. I've charged them before and they worked fine (only charged once or twice total). Are these defective?

These rechargeable glasses does not seem to work well. I have two pairs came with the TV. I was able to charge one of them and work well. The other one, it took 3 to 5 days to charged. But it was working well after that. I did not use both of the glasses for 6 months now. Trying to use again. They both dead. It appears this is the weak point of samsong device ( 3D glasses or bluetooth ear piece), it won't charge if power has been drained. Unfortunately, there is no way to replace the battery. Did I say battery? Yeh, unfortunately these rechargeable has battery.

Question

SSG-3500CR discharges when not in use

I keep two pair of SSG-3500CRs stored (but not connected to a USB port) on my computer desk when not in use. I often notice that the LEDs on each of these glasses flash randomely while stored. When I need them, they are nearly always completely discharged. Should these glasses be kept plugged into a USB port all the time? If not, how can I prevent them from discharging when not in use? Is it possible that my laptop bluetooth radio is somehow activating the glasses??

If it is getting charged you will see a red blinking light. It doesn't show up anywhere that these glasses are completely charged. If you see a green light while plugged in that means those are charged and is the only indication :)

Samsung offers a wireless charging station (just hang and charge... no plugging in) and they look great. I haven't picked that up yet though so I don't know how fast it chargers but it can charge up to 4 pairs at a time. They look slick too. Just look under products/3d accessories to find it.

Question

Rechargeable vs battery swap glasses

I'm debating which glasses to get and there's a pretty big difference in price between the rechargeable and non-rechargeable glasses. Aside from convenience, do the rechargeable 3d glasses have any other benefit over their non-rechargeable counterparts?

Not sure about the non-rechargable, I haven't seen them. But the rechargable ones (I have the SSG-3500CR that came with my 7050) are lightweight and don't pinch or bother too much. I'm only guessing here but I'd imagine the non-recharable ones might use a larger sized battery and therefore may have a larger and/or heavier frame. After an hour of watching a movie the weight might become noticable...

Question

SSG-3500CR 3D glasses, one doesn't charge, the other doesn't hold the charge.

I let these glasses charge overnight and into the day for several days...the one that charges (steady green light) once unplugged discharges within 2 hours (with no movement). With the other one, sometimes the red charging light blinks and sometimes it doesn't but overall it never recharges. Both pairs worked well in December. I have tried holding the pairing button to pair with TV. Nothing happens. I have tried charging from both my Samsung D8000 TV and my computer but the end results are the same. I have switched up the usb charger cable with both glasses, and still the one that doesn't charge, doesn't charge. I am at a loss. Please help.

Question

Are they compatible with the 6420 series tv's?

I noticed the SSG-3500CR listed under the accessories list of the 46" led model 6420 TV, however when I searched for compatibility using the compatibility tool on the accessories page its says it is NOT compatible. Yet it is listed as an available accessory for that specific TV model? Can you please tell me are the glasses compatible with the 6420 or are they truly not? Thank you.

By now you have hopefully removed them, but if not, yes they need to be removed. They are attached to a protective covering over the front and back of each lens. It seems as if the lens itself is tearing, but fear not, the protective covering will come off without damaging the lenses.
