I think you're having the same problem that I had as the glasses lose sync with the TV. You can try the "tape fix" (just search "3d glasses losing sync" on google to find it). I sent my old glasses back in for replacements because they lost sync every 2 minutes and I wasn't able to fix it with electrical tape. Some Samsung glasses don't have this problem. The samsung glasses that come with movie packs are usually good at not losing sync.

Yes. Both the battery-replaceable and rechargeable 3D glasses are designed to be used by people who wear glasses.

Question

Why do my glasses shut off over and over again? The battery is fully charged.

I can not enjoy anything, both of my glasses do not stay on and fade into yellow. Then I have to turn them off officially, and then turn them back on for the picture to go back into 3D.

Please could you confirm the model number of the TV and Glasses in question? I had a similar problem with a Samsung PS50C680 TV and SSG-2100AB glasses, which in the end was replaced under warranty with a newer D series.

Question

Why is the model number on the package different than on the actual 3D glasses?

Did I receive the correct glasses as per the packaging, or were they switched out with other glasses? The model number on the packaging states SSG-P2100S/ZA, the Model numbers on the 2 pair of glasses in the package is SSG-2100AB/ZA.

The model code SSG-P2100S/ZA is for the Samsung promotional pack as a whole, whereas the SSG-2100AB/ZA model ID is for the glasses individually.

Question

Help Need

Hi, we have just purchased a Samsung 3D tv package inc glasses and 3d blue ray player. However, I have a query.....i have purchased 2 3d blu ray films which came with the free cardboard 3d glasses. We are having problems trying to view these films with our Samsung 3d glasses yet we do not have a problem with the Shrek 3d blue ray film that came with the package (which may I add didn't include the free cardboard glasses.) I suppose my question is whether there are different formats of 3d blueray films? I'm getting very confused by it all and any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

From my experience and all the Blue Ray movies that I have purchased, including ones that have the 3D fromat included with each movie, there are no different 3D versions. There are, however, different 3D types of movies. The cardboard glasses that we had prior to purchasing our 3D TV did not work, nor did the glasses that we got from watching a 3D movie at the movie theatre. There are 4 different types of 3D movies that I know of and the only glasses that work with our 3D TV are the glasses you buy from the store that are labeled for home entertainment only.

As the glasses appear to be a mass manufacture item and of relatively low cost, i would imagine it to be uneconomical to offer a repair on these items.

Your best bet is to request this directly to Samsung, who can provide the information, or at least forward your request to an authorized repair centre who should be able to provide a quote.

Since the UNxxC8000 is in fact a 3D TV, any of the 3D glasses found on the Accessory page on Samsung.com will work with this model and will be needed to view a 3D image.

I’m sorry you are having an issue with your device. Although with the information you have provided I do not have a solution for you; I will say that if you make a service request at http://www.samsung.com/us/support/o..., or contact 800-SAMSUNG, the service department should be able to provide you with a live solution.

Question

Are 2100 and 3100 series glasses compatible?

Just bought a new Plasma, PS64D550C, which came with a set of 3100 glasses that work fine. The store supplied 2100 glasses, bought at considerable expense, do not despite appearing to function correctly with turning on/off and LED operation.
I have heard that 2100 series glasses are not compatible with newer model 3D TVs. Can anyone, preferably Mr Samsung, confirm or deny this? Or is there a way to get both series of glasses working together?
With respect.

Normally 3D glasses are not provided with the sets, mainly to allow people the flexibility to buy however many they require seperately, and potentially for cheaper than the associated costs of pre-bundling with the TV.
Most retailers will however offer one to two pairs of glasses for no, or little cost. Always check before purchase.

You should contact the store you bought them from, it is all dependent on the store's return policy. If you bought them directly from Samsung then you need to post your question to the samsung store.

Since this question was asked Dec 2010 then your glasses are most likely the infrared models and not the blue tooth type. This has been anwsered above but check batteries and try to resync without any interference between the glasses and tv. Bright direct light on tv sensor may also be be a problem.
