So sorry you are experiencing these issues! Have you tried consulting Sprint about this issue yet? They might be able to provide quicker support than sending in your device to us. Also, please make sure this isn't a network issue and ensure that you have signal when sending out text messages.
If this is a recent problem, try removing recent apps/files you have added to your phone as well as clearing the cache. Then try a soft reset by pulling out your battery for a few minutes.
