Question

hook up external antenna and amp

i get a very weak signal at home. can i hookup an external antenna with an amp? inside under the back cover are two small connectors, a female with an R1 beside and a male with a G. Is one of these for an external antenna.

I do like the phone and want to keep it if I can get a better signal.

Question

Why is my phone freezing?

I just bought this phone a month ago and everything was fine. I recently bought a bluetooth and the phone started seizing and the screen went blank. I have to keep restarting the phone. I was very satisfied with the performance and now I'm really questioning how solid this device is. It also seems like its picking pictures up from somewhere, I have pictures in my phone that I didn't take. It appears to be picking them up from a website or something.

1. Tap Forgot pattern.

In order to use the phone's Wi-Fi capabilities, you have to have a wireless network either in your home or one you can access, like the many free Wi-Fi hotspots that are almost everywhere. If you don't have a wireless router, they can be purchased almost anywhere and at reasonable prices; they are easy to install and set up and once you do this - and you remember the security items to access your new wireless network - the phone should connect easily and - voila - Internet access via Wi-Fi!

Why am I not receiving all incoming SMS messages?

My Samsung Galaxy Prevail isn't receiving all incoming SMS messages. It seems to send them ok but sometimes when someone replies, nothing happens. After a friend told me about it, I tested it myself with Yahoo Messanger and it did the same thing. Is it a problem with the phone or with the service? Any help would be really appreciated.

Regarding your concern, upon checking the specifications and settings on the Samsung Galaxy Prevail™ Android Smartphone (SPH-M820), there isn't an option available to disable the lock that appears when a call is made. This feature will prevent the call from disconnecting when you put the handset near your ear and accidentally touch your cheek. However, you can unlock the screen for you navigate the phone even while on call by pressing the lock key.

In regards to your second question, please reach out to your carrier. Any network related issues can be troubleshooted by your service provider.

Can you tell me why my phone just freezes after coming off the charger or after I text ?

We have 2 of these phones & this is the only one that does it. Ive had it for 2 weeks. I called the store backa nd they said since I have over 30 min of talk time they can not help me I have to contact you. Please help

To change the text size of your Browser:

Press the Home key
Tap the Applications Tab

Select from the following options:

Small
Normal
Large
Huge

I never use the stock message app on my Android phones, always use Chomp SMS from Android Market, but you should be able to just long press the message and the option to forward should show up.

Question

My phone keeps freezing!

I have done a soft reboot (battery out for 2-3minutes) 4 times in the past 2 hours and it keeps freezing. I have deleted apps and rebooted, ran a virus check and task killed apps. Nothing is working. I have had this phone almost 2 weeks and having problems already. I am worried that I made a bad decision with this phone. I did however, get the warranty. Is this a problem that is fixable on my end or should I bring it to the store for a new one?

Thanks for reaching out! You may try to tap and hold on the picture from the MMS message you received on the Samsung Galaxy Prevail™ Android Smartphone (SPH-M820), and check if there would be a list of options that will appear. Choose for the option to save the picture to the phone memory.

Question

Bluetooth driver for Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate

Have a bluetooth dongle. Can pair the samsung but can not connect for transfers. Have triangle on device. Windows could not fix because it could not find a driver for this device. Is there one for this device?
