Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry.

To place the SPH-M570 (Restore) phone into silent / vibrate mode, simply press the down volume key located on the left side multiple times until either Vibrate All or Silence All is displayed on the LCD. Use the up volume key to bring the ringer back up to an audible level.

Question

Another update?

After the recent update, the phone no longer has the glitches that it had. Now it has another one. Whenever I start the music application, the song starts about half way into the song. It also doesn't let you restart the song because the phone freezes. I have to remove the battery every time that happens. An update to that issue would be great.
Thanks.

Hi mirandababe07!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding your concern, upon checking the specifications and settings on the Samsung Restore™ Cell Phone (SPH-M570), you have to create a text message using the slider keyboard because it is default into T9 mode. There are no configurable options available to set T9 mode when entering text while the phone is in landscape mode.

Again, we thank you for comments and appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Question

how do I install the battery

I have a samsung restore. The owners manual has five pages on the battery. It tells me not to put it in the microwave or paper shredder. I already figured that out on my own thanks. I also knew better then to drop it in water or put it in the freezer. I really can't figure out how to open the battery compartment. Including those instructions in the owners manual, would have been extremely helpful. It should be noted that every internet page dedicated to answering questions has this question on it. SO I am not the only one.

Question

Songs not showing up.

I recently added music to my micro sd card, but the media player doesn't appear to be working. When I go to it, it works for a second, but then it says "unable to play file". I double checked that it was the right format, and it still doesn't work. Also, when I go to the "mass storage" section and go to the sd card, I can play the music just fine! But since that is just such a hassle to do, I'd just rather get the media player to work. Also, I was wondering if there is a way to make a song a ringtone.
