Question

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 with U-connect, after the phone updated I can not use the hands free. Why?

I used to own an M520 phone and never had a problem with the U-connect in my truck. Now that I have an M570 and the newest firmware I am not able to use the U-connect with it. Both devices see each other and are paired, but they do not work together. I need them to work together or I will need to find another phone, which would be a shame since I really like this phone.

Greetings!

Pertaining to your query, I would strongly advise to please contact you car manufacturer if the phone is included on the trusted devices that can be paired with your car. Once verified as a trusted device then you can pair the phone with the car.

To pair with a Bluetooth device follow the steps below:

Note: Refer to the manufacturer of all third-party Bluetooth devices for instructions on enabling discovery mode and obtaining the passkey. In most cases, the default passkey is '0000' (four zeros).

1.Place Bluetooth device in discovery mode.
2.Highlight Home key and press OK key
3.Select Tools
4.Select Bluetooth
5.Select Add New
6.Enable Bluetooth if not already turned on, Yes
7.If the Trusted Devices list is empty, a search will begin and soon a list of devices will populate
8.Select a device and press the OK key
9.Verify passkeys match and select left soft key for Yes
10.Enter a unique device name and press the left soft key for Done to save changes

It was a pleasure doing business with you.

There's no driver available for your SPH-M570 handset.

If you intend to transfer files between your phone and your computer, then you won’t a driver to install. All you need is a memory card inserted on the device for it to be recognized by the computer and set the phone to Mass Storage. If you wish to continue, you may follow the steps below.

STEPS:

1. Power down the handset
2. Remove the battery cover and insert a memory card into the memory card slot located on the bottom-right side (Hint: copper leads will face down)
3. Connect the compatible USB cable to both the PCs USB port and the handsets Power/Accessory interface connector
4. Highlight Home icon and press OK button
5. Select Tools (0)
6. Select Mass Storage (5)
7. Select Connect To PC (1)

*******The handset will display "Connect to PC - Call disabled"
*******The PC will display a Removable Disk dialog box.

6. Click on the "Open Folder To View Files" option and then click OK
7. Navigate through the DCIM folder to locate pictures and videos on the handset
8. Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop desired pictures and videos to the desired destination folder on the PC
9. On the handset, press the right soft key for Disconnect
10. Press the left soft key to confirm disconnection from PC

answer 1
Hi icedoggy!

Thank you for your inquiry.

Apparently, we do not have any available software nor drivers that you would be needing for you to connect the phone to the computer.

If you are going to transfer media files from your Samsung Restore™ Cell Phone (SPH-M570) to the computer, you may do USB mass storage so you could transfer them to the computer.

For you to connect the phone to the computer, it would require you to have the memory card inside the phone and a USB data cable, once you already have the requirements, and then do the following:

If the microSD memory card came from another phone and you could not saved any files on it. Try to format the microSD memory card using your phone so that the phone will recognize the microSD memory card inserted in it.

1. Highlight Home icon and press the middle button.
2. Select Tools.
3. Select Mass Storage.
4. Select Format Memory Card.
5. Enter User Lock code.
6. Press the left soft key for Format to confirm.

Note: Formatting the microSD memory card will delete all information saved on your memory card. We suggest backing up first your files saved on the microSD memory card.

USB Mass Storage
1. Ensure that a memory card is present in the handset's memory card slot.
2. Connect one end of the USB data cable to the handset (as shown below) and the other end to an available USB slot on a PC or laptop.
3. Highlight Home icon and press middle button.
4. Select Tools.
5. Select Mass Storage.
6. Select Connect To PC.
7. When the Removable Disk window pops up, select the Open Folder option and click OK.
8. Copy & paste or drag & drop MP3 files from other locations on your PCs hard drive to this window.
9. On the handset, press the right soft key for Disconnect.
10. Press the left soft key for Disconnect to confirm.

If the notification does not show up on the phone or on the computer, try to turn off you phone or connect the USB cable to another USB port on your computer.

Should you desire additional assistance resolving this, we invite you to call Samsung Customer Support by phone at our toll free number 1-888-987-4357, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Central Standard Time.

Question

How to delete contacts in the SENT TO RECENT option of Messaging

Is there a way to delete the contacts in the 'send to recent' option of messaging. I can easily delete the messages I've sent by going to 'messages' and then using the 'options' to delete the messages. However in the 'send message screen' it shows the people I've sent message to and only allows me to use the 'multiple' or 'new addr' function keys. I used to have a SAMSUNG EXCLAIM and it had an option key after pressing the 'send message' screen which would allow one to delete all the info etc. Is it possible for this same application to come out as an update for the RESTORE?
