The phone's software is corrupt.
Just take it to the closest sprint store that has a tech and let them reinstall the phone's programing. It takes about 15 minutes and you won't lose any personal information, pictures, etc.
It is called a hard reset. The tech I used didn't charge me anything.

Most phones will not allow you to see the data in your phone with a PC connection. Only what is on your Sd Card, if you have one.
What normally works is if your phone has Bluetooth, then get a USB Bluetooth for your computer. Once you have them both paired up seeing each other then you should see an option to transfer your contacts to the PC.

Model Code of the phone can be found at the back of your phone near the bar codes as the battery has been taken out or on the box that came with your phone. Model code starts with SPH code followed by a letter then 3 numbers.

If you are on the product resgistration page, all you need to do is to key in the ESN HEX/MEID number on the serial number field and it will auto populate the model code of the phone.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Samsung only manufactures phone but the software incorporated on it is being provided by the original network provider of the phone. Samsung Reclaim is a phone manufactured exclusively with Sprint. If you intend to use it with Cricket, you would need to coordinate with Sprint to get an authorization and have their software be removed on this device before you have it reprogrammed with Cricket for this phone to be recognized by their network.

While your handset does support the Bluetooth profile for hands free operation, this would best be addressed by your vehicle manufacturer, as they can provide a list handsets approved for compatibility. In most cases, this information is available on the manufacturer’s website.

Please bear in mind that Samsung does not support the use of any third party hardware with our handsets. We apologize for any inconvenience this presents.

If you use Windows 98/98SE, you have to download and install the USB Mass Storage Driver from the Sprint website at http://www.sprint.com.

However, there's another way to connect phone to PC without the use of a driver through the use of USB. USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a type of plug-in connection that is used to connect devices, including some handsets, to desktop or laptop PC's. In a handset, USB is useful for quickly transferring files to and from phones, or for synchronizing information with a PC application. The only USB setting needed for data transfer is the Mass Storage Connect to PC setting.

To access the USB setting follow the steps below:

Connect the USB data cable to the PC's USB port and the handset Charger/Accessories jack
From the carousel's Home tile , press the OK button for Menu
Select Tools (0)
Select Mass Storage (6)
Select Connect to PC (1)
The handset will display "Connect to PC - Call disabled"
The PC will display a Removable Disk dialog box.
Click on the "Open Folder To View Files" option and then click OK or open Windows Explorer manually
Navigate to locate pictures and/or videos on the handset or PC
Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop desired pictures and videos to the desired destination folder on the PC or memory card
On the handset, press the right soft key for Disconnect
Press the left soft key to confirm disconnection from the PC

If connection is unsuccessful, kindly try to check the following....

> Try using a different USB port (if using a desktop PC, please try to connect the USB data cable at the back port of the CPU)
> Restart the PC and soft reset the phone (turn off and remove the battery for about a minute and put it back in the phone and turn it on again)
> Make sure that the USB cable is samsung genuine accessory
> Try using a different USB cable
> Try to check the removable storage through the "My Computer"
> Disable or turn off the bluetooth connection of the phone

Did you format the SD card using the phone?
Have you save the Music Files under Music Folder when you transfer them?

Formatting the SD card using the phone is very important because it creates its own folder and it makes both devices compatible with each other. Also, music files should be saved on the Music Folder so that it can readable or played on the handset.

Here are the steps on how to format a microSD memory card on the phone:
1. Pull the memory card slot cover out and up to expose the memory card slot
2. Insert a microSD memory card (label up) into the memory card slot, located on the upper right side of the handset, until it locks in place

o Caution: DO NOT force the card into the memory card slot, as this could damage the card and/or the handset.

3. Replace the memory card slot cover
4. From the carousel's Home tile , press the OK button for Menu
5. Select Tools (0)
6. Select Mass Storage (6)
7. Select Format Memory Card (3)
8. Enter the User Lock code
9. Press the left soft key for Format to confirm

We do not have any available software for the SPH-M560.

You may contact your service provider so you can ask them for a software that you can use to your computer so you can connect your phone.

If you will be transferring pictures or videos from the phone to the computer the you can use the following options available.

- via USB Cable
- via Memory Card
- via MMS Message
- via Bluetooth

WARNING: Do NOT disconnect the USB cable from the PC or handset during file transfer as this may cause damage to the handset or PC

Please Note: The SPH-M560 (Reclaim) handset includes support for Digital Rights Management (DRM) which allows you to play or view some purchased or subscription content. These copyright protections may prevent some images, videos, music (including ringtones) and other content from being copied, modified, transferred or forwarded to other devices.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

1. USB Cable

From the In Phone folder, you can send pictures or videos to others, with a compatible device, via Sprint PCS Picture Mail. The first time you use any of the picture management options involving the Sprint PCS Picture Mail Web site, you will need to establish a Sprint PCS Picture Mail password. Hi there!

You can set a phone lock on your SPH-m560 (Reclaim) handset. With this, locking the phone limits all outgoing calls except calls to 911 emergencies, Service Provider, and the three user-programmable special numbers.
You can lock the phone manually, or set the phone to lock automatically when it is turned on. With the phone in lock mode, you can still answer incoming calls, but you must unlock the phone to place outgoing calls (except to 911 emergencies, Service Provider and the three user-programmable special numbers). Phone Lock also restricts access to camera/camcorder and the Volume keys.

To lock the phone follows the steps below:

1. From the carousel's Home tile , press the OK button for Menu
2. Select Settings
3. Select More... (7)
4. Select Restrict and Lock (10)
5. Select Lock My Phone (4)
6. Enter the User Lock code

 (If you can’t recall your lock code, try using the last four digits of your wireless phone number. If this doesn’t work, call Sprint Customer Service at 1-888-211-4727)

7. Select one of the following:

 Unlocked (1) - Unlocks the phone

 On Power-Up (2) - The phone locks automatically the next time the phone is powered on (The phone stays locked until the lock code is entered)

 Lock Now (3) - Locks the phone immediately (The phone stays locked until the lock code is entered)

Unlock: To unlock the phone simply press the left soft key then enter the lock code
