In most instances, the passkey is ‘0000” or the last four digits of the telephone number. If pairing is unsuccessful, please delete or remove the previous bluetooth devices that's been paired on the handset then pair it once again.

Pairing With a Computer
If you are going to be pairing with a computer’s Bluetooth interface, you will need to allow the computer to initiate pairing with your phone.
To allow your phone to be paired with another Bluetooth device:
1. Highlight and press > Tools > Bluetooth > Add a New... > PC.
2. Follow the onscreen prompts to enter your passkey and press OK.

Yes you can as long as you have a USB cable that connects to your computer's USB port and plugs into your phone. If you have your phone's user guide you can look in it to see just what you need to do once you connect the phone to the computer. It depends on what phone you have.

If you don't have a USB connection cord to the computer, you could also forward your pictures to your email address and then access your email acct and save them to your computer that way.

How to connect your phone to a computer to transfer files, please follow the steps below.

Before using your phone’s mass storage capabilities, you need to prepare your phone’s data services to synchronize with your desktop or laptop computer.

Once the phone is connected to the computer, you can transfer your data to or from the microSD card.
1. With the phone turned on, plug one end of a compatible USB cable into the phone's Charger/Accessories Jack.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to your computer and turn the phone on.

Note: No driver is needed for Windows 98 or XP. Other operating systems may require a USB driver that can be downloaded from www.samsungwireless.com/usbdownload

1. With the phone turned on, plug one end of a compatible USB cable into the phone's
Charger/Accessories Jack.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to your computer and turn the phone on.
3. With the microSD card inserted, highlight and

Important Connection Information
1. No driver installation is required for Windows 2000/ME/XP/Vista users. If you use Windows 98/98SE, you have to download and install the USB Mass StorageDriver from the Sprint website at www.sprint.com.
2. To avoid loss of data, DO NOT remove the USB cable, the microSD card, or the battery while files are being accessed or transferred.
3. DO NOT use your computer to change or edit folder or file names on the microSD card, and do not attempt to transfer large amounts of data from the
computer to the microSD card. Doing so may cause the microSD card to fail.
4. DO NOT turn off or restart your computer, or put it into standby mode, while using a mass storage device. Doing so will result in loss or damage of data.
5. While you are connected to the computer, your phone’s screen will display “Phone Off.” You cannot make or receive calls.
6. If you connect a mass storage device to a peripheral device, your device may not work properly.

Note During this connection via the USB port, you will be unable to use your phone to make or receive calls.

Question

Lots of Problems?

My Samsung Exclaim SPH-M550 has a lot of problems. It can't text. It rings, telling me someone texted me, but when I go see, it says No Messages. Also, every once and a while, a pop-up comes, telling me it has no memory slots for texts. It comes every couple of minutes. But when I go to my inbox, it's empty. Whenever I try the email app, the entire screen turns white. And sometimes, the screens freezes. It has weird colors of blue and yellow when it freezes. If I try to put a screensaver that isn't in the preset images, it only does the picture halfway. The other half gets black. I can't even add new tiles. What should I do?

you can take your phone anywhere in the U.S. you just need to set your roaming to give you a notification if you are on a roaming area to avoid the roaming charges.

You shouldn't have any problems with moving to another location with this phone. It really depends on your carriers coverage area whether you would encounter roaming charges, but most carriers already include roaming charges at no additional cost. I would check to make sure that whatever carrier you have has coverage in your area. Also, it you purchased this phone for T-Mobile or AT&T, you don't have to worry as the SIM card can be switched between those two carriers.

If this is in regards to the passcode to access the device, the default phone lock code of your phone is "0000" or "00000000". If the default phone lock code did not work then we can do a reset on the phone. USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a type of plug-in connection that is used to connect devices, including some handsets, to desktop or laptop PC's. In a handset, USB is useful for quickly transferring files to and from phones, or for synchronizing information with a PC application. The only USB setting needed for data transfer is the Mass Storage Connect to PC setting.

To access the USB setting follow the steps below:

Connect the data cable to the PC's USB port and the handset Charger/Accessories jack
From the carousel's Home tile , press the Menu/OK key
Select Tools (0)
Select Mass Storage (6)
Select Connect to PC (1)

There are no configurable options on the phone to retrieve deleted text messages.

Once messages are deleted it will be permanently removed from the phone.

Hi Shelley2!

If you intend to transfer files between your SPH-m550 (Exclaim) handset and your computer, then you won't need a driver. You will just need to set the phone to mass storage, a formatted memory card inserted on the device and a USB cable. Then follow the steps below.

WARNING: Do NOT disconnect the USB cable from the PC or handset during file transfer as this may cause damage to the handset or PC

Please Note: The SPH-M550 (Exclaim) handset includes support for Digital Rights Management (DRM) which allows you to play or view some purchased or subscription content. These copyright protections may prevent some images, videos, music (including ringtones) and other content from being played, copied, modified, transferred or forwarded to other devices.

STEPS:

1. Power down the handset
2. Remove the battery cover and insert a memory card into the memory card slot located on the bottom-left side (Hint: copper leads will face up)
3. Connect the compatible USB data cable to both the PCs USB port and the handsets Power/Accessory interface connector
4. From the carousel's Home tile, press the Menu/OK key for the Main Menu
5. Select Tools (0)
6. Select Mass Storage (6)
7. Select Connect To PC (1)

*The handset will display "Connect to PC - Call disabled"

*The PC will display a Removable Disk dialog box.

8. Click on the "Open Folder To View Files" option and then click OK or open Windows Explorer manually
9. Navigate through the 100SSMED folder, located within the DCIM folder, to locate pictures and videos
10. Copy & Paste or Drag & Drop desired pictures and videos to the desired destination folder on the PC

Hi giapaul!

The file must have been incompletely downloaded or corrupted. If you want to delete the pictures, you may do a reset on the phone.

To reset the handset to the default settings follow the steps below:

From the carousel's Home tile , press the Menu/OK key
Select Settings
Select More
Select Security
Enter the User Lock Code
Select Erase/Reset
Select Default Settings
Select Yes to confirm
Select Yes again to confirm reseting the handset to the default settings

Hi dude1122!

Yes, you can add Samsung Apps to your Samsung Exclaim. However, you need to coordinate to your current service provider for them to give you the steps for you to do that. It's with the connection with your carrier for you to download compatible apps for you phone.

Hi, do you still remember when did you first receive the error w302 on your phone? And what was the last thing that you did prior to this? Have you downloaded any programs or applications? Well, the first thing that you can do would be to perform a soft reset on your phone. Please turn off your phone, remove the battery, wait for a minute or two, put everything back and turn it on. Please check if you are still getting the same error. If it shows the same error, maybe you can delete any downloaded applications that you don’t need any more. If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.

Question

How do I increase the messaging memory on my phone?

It used to hold numerous (up to 15) different consversations in my text messages box, now I'm lucky if i can get 2 conversations to stay in there. When its out of room it just vibrates, or rings like I got a text, but nothing will show up until I delete a conversation or two to make room.

Are you having error messages like : MEMORY FULL. PLEASE DELETE DATA?

If you still have enough space but you are still getting the error, it could mean that

there are corrupted files hidden on the phone and needs to be wiped out. You can reset the phone to resolve this.

The Samsung Exclaim does not have Wi-Fi capability however you can still connect to the Internet. You will need to Explore the WEB browser on your phone to fully access internet and this would be a paid service.

Although the home page offers a broad and convenient array of sites and services for you to browse, not all sites are represented, and certain functions, such as going directly to specific websites, are not available. For these and other functions, you will need to use the browser menu. The browser menu offers additional options to expand your use of the Web on your phone.
Opening the Browser Menu
The browser menu may be opened anytime you have an active data session, from any page you are viewing.
