Question

How do you turn off the screen light. It stays on all the time?

The screen light does not go off. I set it to go off in 8 seconds but it doesn't go off. This is the M520 MODEL.

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that backlight stays on on your phone, SPH-M520. We do apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused you.

You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

Thank you for your inquiry.

To pair the SPH-M520 with a Bluetooth Device follow the steps below:

1.Place the Bluetooth device in discoverable mode
2.While in standby mode, press the Menu / OK button for the Main Menu
3. Select Tools (9)
4.Select Bluetooth (2)
5.Select Yes (1) to Enable Bluetooth
6. Select Bluetooth (2) again
7. Press the left soft key for Add New
8. Select Search (1), to search for Bluetooth devices
9. Highlight the desired Bluetooth device, using the navigation keys
10. Press the left soft key to Add to list
11. Enter the default Passkey of device (0000) and press the Menu / OK button, you will get a brief message stating pairing
12. Press the left soft key for Done or rename the Bluetooth headset, using the keypad
13. Press the left soft key for Connect, you will get a brief message stating connecting
14. After a successful connection the handset will return to the Trusted Devices screen

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you would like to know how to remove the sim card on your Samsung phone.

There is no sim card slot provided for the Samsung SPH-M520, therefore there is no sim card that can be found on this phone.

If you are referring to the micro SD card of the phone, to remove the memory card please follow the steps provided below.

1. Locate the memory slot on the right side of the phone and flip up the microSD plastic cover.
2. Firmly push the end of the card further into the phone and release — the card should pop out from the memory card slot.

Hi, I just wanted to know. Can you still use the other functions of the “end call” button of your phone? Because, aside from the power on/off button and as the end call button, it also functions as if you want to exit a certain application. And to be honest with you, the ‘end call” button is the only button to turn and off the phone.
However, we can still do minimal troubleshooting. Once troubleshooting has been done to the point of actual failure, we can setup a repair on the product, should it be determined the problem cannot be resolved over the phone. We can repair the phone, if it is still under warranty and has not been physically damaged.
If it is deemed, after troubleshooting, that the handset requires service/repair, our Repair Administrators will create a Return Material Authorization (RMA#) for the device. Provided there is no physical damage to the phone and the failure is not due to any type of liquid damage, the phone will be repaired under warranty.
If the phone has experienced damage or is out of warranty by date (it was purchased more than one year ago) the standard charge will likely apply for the repairs to your phone. We are only able to arrange payment for these repairs through credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
