Question

Why have you disabled the ability to add lockscreen widgets when using a PIN, Password, Pattern, etc.?

If I use no lockscreen security (i.e. Swipe unlock), I can add lockscreen widgets. However, if I use any form of security (e.g. PIN, Pattern, Password, etc.), I am unable to add lockscreen widgets (e.g. weather). WHY have you disabled this feature??? I have absolutely NO security policies or Microsoft Exchange accounts. My phone is completely out-of-the-box stock.

Flash application for Note II

Hello,

Is there an application I can use to view or play games that are using flash? I bought this phone so I wouldn't need to lug the laptop with me but it's not going to do me any good if I can not get Flash.

Greetings roxwill,

I regret to inform you that Flash technology is no longer supported on the Android platform. Some of our devices came with Flash pre-installed, but there is not a way to update to the latest version of flash, nor an official way to install Flash. However, you may be able to find an answer via the below link. Please keep in mind that the alternatives available out there are not supported by Samsung.

Greetings Chip3,

Thanks for reaching out to us for support. I do sincerely apologize for the delay in a response, and I will be more than happy to assist you with attempting to resolve the error message you are experiencing.

S Cloud has two entries in the "All Apps" list, one of which is capable of being completely cleared of data. Fear not, as any prior updates are already saved to the cloud, therefore this method will only clear entries specific to the application. To get to the two entries, please review the instructions below:

From the Home screen, press Menu
Tap Settings
Tap App Manager
Select the "All" field
Scroll down until you see "Samsung Cloud Data Relay", and "Samsung Cloud Quota"
Tap one of the two, and ensure it is force stopped, and if applicable, clear the cache and the data
Repeat the previous step for the second entry
Reboot the device, and attempt to access Cloud Storage again.

If the symptoms persist, please feel free to reach back out to us. We are also available on other channels. You can visit them here:

Greetings Janniepooh,

Unfortunately there is not an official way to disable the shutter sound on the Galaxy Note 2, as it is a protected feature. You may be able to obtain a third party application that does not include a shutter sound upon snapping a photo however.

I bought this phone and a few weeks later I started to have "No Sim Card Error". If I reset the phone sometimes the error will go away for a short period, sometimes it comes back immediately. I can still receive and make phone calls, but sometimes mobile data wont work because of the error. Latest firmware installed, PRL and Profile have been updated as well.

Greetings Randyjr,

I regret to inform you that we will be unable to assist you with the "No SIM card" error you are experiencing, unless you were to send in the device to our authorized repair center. Prior to doing so, I would strongly encourage you to take the device into the nearest Sprint store to see if they may be able to supply a solution to you, as the repair process can be lengthy. I cannot confirm nor deny that a SIM card exists on the Sprint Galaxy Note II, but I do know that it is an error that does have potential solutions.

Greetings Numismaticbullion,

Thanks for reaching out to us for support! The most common cause of a device reaching a warm state and subsequently shutting off is overuse. We recommend rebooting your device at least once a day, and vigilantly clearing unused applications and the system's RAM throughout the day.

Please bear in mind that your device is simply a mini computer, therefore it needs to breathe from time to time. Using the phone whilst charging it is also a known culprit of devices getting warm and shutting off. Please review the provided link below for addition tactics that can be taken to prevent the symptoms you are experiencing.

Question

Are there going to be, any additional apps available for the Note II's S Pen?

Besides what apps that come standard on the Note II, will there be any additional apps either on Google Play or with any software updates. The S pen takes some getting used to, and I like what it can do, however there aren't many apps available for the S pen. Just curious is all, thanks.

Hello,

Thanks for your inquiry.

Applications within the Google Play store are manufactured by third parties. To inquire about updates you will need to reach out to the manufacturers of those applications directly.

Unfortunately, we do not have any information regarding an update at this time.

Hi there soaringspirit. Thank you for reaching out.

We recommend using only Samsung branded charging accessories as the use of third party accessories can harm your device and will void the warranty.

It is best common practice to drain your device's battery all the way down about once a week and then fully charge it before using again. After the device has reached 100% charge, be sure to remove from the charging cable.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or comments - we are here and happy to help! Thanks again.

How to stop my custom ringtones from reverting back to default?

Whenever I set certain custom ringtones throughout my phone, most of them revert to the default notification tone (which is customized also), and after a couple of hours if I do not change them back, ultimately they will go all the way back to the default tones.

HI keonique, thanks for reaching out. When did you first notice this? Was this after a recent app download or after a update? If so try removing the battery, then rebooting your device. If that does not work try backing up all of your personal data. After you back up all of your data, perform a factory reset.

All classes are compatible, but if you want smooth speed and fast access times for video and quicker response after read/write situations, you might want to consider a Class 6 or higher.

Thanks for your interest in Samsung Galaxy products.
