The notifications menu on the Sprint version has an option for "Multi window". It's all the way at the end of the menu. Make sure that's checked if you have Sprint. I don't know if the other carriers have that or not.

Last month I was selling my Note II online, (I was changing carriers), and I received several offers (more than 10 in a week) from people offering me their iPhone 5 in exchange for my Note II.

Most of them were just disappointed with their new phones... I think that says a lot.

In my opinion only you can answer that. It truly depends on what your looking for and how it meets your needs. Android has come a long way with the Jelly Bean update. I've used Android phones since the early days and JB is the best yet. You certainly have considerably more freedom on the Android Platform. For instance on the Note 2 you can swap batteries, tweak the software settings more, and add a micro SD card (plus a host of other things). However if you don't mind being tied into certain Eco-systems then by all means go for the iPhone. One of the main reasons people choose Android over the iPhone is freedom. I love gadgets and smartphones. I've owned a lot and the Note 2 is by far the best device I've had to date. The S-pen functionality adds features that you won't find on the iPhone. The screen in my opinion is worth it. First decide what you want from your phone, do the research and go from there. This is at least a two year commitment (unless you buy off contract) so you want to do your research.

I would like to say that I have played with this device since the first day it release on Sprint and have also played used the iPhone 5 (owned the iPhone 4S). Bar None...this is a beast of a phone with just about every feature. There is no comparison between a phone that is 5.5 plus inches to a 4 inches. A battery that with heavy usage last all day and you can take out and add another (just in case) to a device that does not remove nor last half a day. I could go on and on, but if you think the Galaxy Note II is too big of the next big thing...put it in your and you will soon find yourself NOT wanting to put it down.

The memo's app is the S Note app. You can copy text into the app using copy / paste from any other application. e.g. Email, web page etc.

To copy and paste first select the text and then select the Copy button. Then go to S Note and long hold using the text tool while editing a note. Then select the Paste button.

Hi Tony,

I think most of the issues with Kies are related to the Java applet. I tried KiesAir on my Windows8 PC and had to install, delete, and install again the Java software.
On my girlfriend's laptop (running Vista) it was impossible to make it work.

I decided to try AirDroid, and it worked flawlessly on the first try.

Question

Outside of wifi, my mobile network will not turn on.

Talked to Sprint.I've updated PRL and everything else. Mobile Network is checked in the settings. Switched from Automatic to CDMA, and back. Looked on the web to find it also occurs with other carriers on the Note 2. One fix was to turn Airplane mode or Mobile Network on, then off. It will come back on sporadically.
My battery is also barely lasting half the day with NO use after last update. Occasionally gets hot, and I have to switch phone off.I've seen these same issues on the web and tried all the fixes. Still having lots of trouble with Mobile Network connecting.

Question

Wifi automatically turns on (Sprint Galaxy Note II) Why?

I don't have the settings for automatic wifi (actually have it set to never so that it uses my current data), but everytime I look at my device, I notice that Wifi has been enabled once again. This has happened since I got the Note II on Thursday. Does Samsung, Sprint or anyone have an idea how to make this stop? Thanks.

Hi BrenNote2Owner,

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you would like to check for options setting the video camera on your phone for best video resolution.

Using Galaxy Note II you can capture high-definition video in 1080p HD (30fps) with the device's camcorder.

The best resolution that you can set on the phone camera is 1920x1080, but take note that higher resolution will eat up more memory of the phone.

To change the advanced settings on your camcorder, refer to the following procedures.

Tap Settings in the menu panel to display the Settings menu and access more camcorder ► settings.

Resolution: allows you to set the image size to one of the following: 1920x1080, 1280x720, 720x480, 640x480, or 320x240.

The list of available options that you may set on the camera settings on your phone can be found on the manual.

Your Samsung phone in PDF format is available for download from the Samsung Download Center. From the website, simply enter the model or portion of the model number or name into the product search field to take you to the user manuals available.

You may use the link provided below to get the downloadable manual for your phone.

Hi Sbutler9995,

Probably your Note 2 comes with KiesAir pre-installed. This is a really easy-to-use application that connects your phone with your PC's browser.

- You need to have both devices connected to the same WiFi network.
- Run KiesAir on your phone. It will prompt you with a URL address to connect (something like 192.168.x.x:xxxx).
- On your PC's browser you need to put this address and hit Enter.
- Your phone will give you a pin number.
- Input this pin on your browser, and you're connected.

You need to download a Java applet in order to copy several files at the time.

Another good option is AirDroid (available for free at the Play Store). it works almost similar to Kies but I prefer this application over the above mentioned, because it doesn't need Java and the interface is more nice and clean.

I hope this can help.

After checking on several websites, it looks that this function was deleted on most US and International carriers, before the release of the Note 2.

The only way to make it work is by rooting your device, and flashing another OS.

Do you mean that you want to take a screen capture? If so just press the action button and the power button at the same time. A screen shot will be taken.

answer 2
To turn on 4G (LTE) you have to go into settings (pull down the status bar and select the gear).

Select More Settings, then select Mobile Networks followed by Network mode.

Here you will have the default CDMA selected (probably).

You have the option of LTE / CDMA, GSM / UMTS and Automatic. To make use of 4G (LTE), select the 4G / LTE option. Note that after changing this the device will need to be restarted.

Good question!

Here is what I found:

Press and hold the microphone icon at the bottom of your keyboard (image 1) until you see a pop-up window.
From that window select the icon that looks like a T with a pencil (second at bottom)

That will take you to the S-pen interface (image 2)

To go back to the regular keyboard, repeat the process, and select the keyboard icon.

Hey there Just Yankees,

You can press & hold on the microphone icon which will bring up additional options. You can then click on the keyboard icon (if in S Pen Mode) and switch to keyboard and then in Keyboard you can click on the Pencil icon to switch to S Pen. See screenshots below for examples!

Hope this helps!

Hello and thanks for reaching out!

We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately Adobe no longer supports mobile Flash player (for more info: http://adobe.ly/PwkJ8L). But you can check out Google Play Store for alternative third party options.

I had this happen once on my GSIII and I rebooted the phone and it worked, however that may not be the cure every time! You might try turning the feature off and then back on again, or double checking the settings within the Ticker Feature.

If all else fails you can always perform a Hard Reset...

Depending on your network and location (in the world).

I found out that most carriers in the U.S. blocked that application in order to charge costumers for their own versions.

You can also try rooting your phone and flashing a new OS in order to make Dive work,
