Question

Texting app

I truely do not like the app for texting on the nexus...is there another app I can download similar to the GII texting app. As far as I can tell there is no way to text a group from your contacts and I also do not like how you add recipients to the text, why can't you scroll through your contact and select the ones you want like so many of the other samsung phones. Also..I don't see a way to forward a text. The texting app is very disappointing and very frustrating.

I also did not like the texting app, at first. After you use it a little bit it gets much better! To forward a text all you have to do touch the text you want to forward for a second and a screen will pop up with copy , forward, lock, view details, delete. Choose which you would like to do...really quite simple.

It also helps to keep features you are not using off, such as Wi-Fi, blue tooth, data. keep screen at lowest brightness level, Turn off auto sync and clear out apps running in background that are not necessary

We do not have a holster/belt clip available online at Samsung.

I first suggest visiting a Sprint device store for this accessories or contacting their support team. A list of service provider contact numbers can be found at the following URL:

Why are my Facebook Contacts not syncing with the rest of my contacts?

All other accounts will sync with contacts. All Contacts is selected under Contacts To Display, as well as in the Facebook dropdown selection under same section.

Most issues like this may be resolved with minimal troubleshooting. As an initial troubleshooting step, you may try to power cycle your phone by turning it on and off. After that, navigate the phone to identify if the same problem exist.

You may try sending a message to a group in your contacts by following the steps provided below:

1. From the Home screen, touch Contacts > Groups.
2. Touch a Group to display it.
3. Touch Menu > Send Message.
4. Touch contacts to mark them as recipients for the new message, then touch Send.

sleep is set for 2 min but never goes to sleep by itself. how do I fix?

Question

Help needed with Galaxy Nexus Phonebook transfer to Ford Sync System

Have been able to Bluetooth 'pair' my Galaxy Nexus with my Ford Sync system (2012 Ford Edge) and can make/receive calls manually. When phone connects on car start, Sync attempts to download Phonebook from phone, then displays message "Phonebook empty". Anyone else experience this problem and, more important, have a 'fix'? Thanks!

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you can't sync your contacts on your phone, SPH-L700 to your Ford Sync system via Bluetooth.

You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

While your handset does support the Bluetooth profile for hands free operation, this would best be addressed by your car manufacturer. They may be able to provide a list of handsets approved for compatibility.

We cannot guarantee complete functionality and compatibility of our phones used in conjunction with third party devices such as this.

how do i unlock the camera app?

i took a picture last night and it auto uploaded to my google account. this morning, the camera is locked "due to security policy"

From the Gallery application, if you touch the Menu icon, located in the top right corner of the screen, and then touch settings you will be able to turn instant uploads off by touching GOOGLE PHOTOS SYNC IS ON/OFF. More info here: http://bit.ly/IlBEF1

Turn it off and see if that solves this issue.

How do I add a second Galaxy Nexus (Sprint) phone to my registered products

I have two Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Sprint) smartphones (on a Sprint Family Plan), and I'd like to add the second phone to my Registered Products list. But when I try, the product page puts the existing phone's information on the Add Product page. So how do I register a second Galaxy Nexus phone?
