With the Nexus S 4G you just go to settings. From there scroll down to about phone and Click System updates for the Android System and below that should be an option for your carrier updates. From this same section you can find out you phone number and other particulars for the phone.

If you click either update a special call will be made and if you are current the phone will tell you so. if there is an update it will prompt to install it.

The major differences are Galaxy Phones have Micro SD Cards and SIM Chips. And Nexus is a phone developed especially to maximize the ANDROID PLATFORM and GOOGLE APPS specifically. However expect all that to change REAL SOON since google just recently purchased Motorola Mobility.

Hi, regarding your question "how long is my Samsung Nexus S 4G warranty? You can find all the warranty time tables outlined by Samsung in your "Health & Safety and Warranty Guide" that came with your phone. You may also want to consider Samsung's Disclaimer of Warranties; Exclusion of Liability. Also found in your guide. However if for some reason you've lost your guide the timetables are as follows
Phone - 1 year
Batteries - 1 year
Leather Case - 90 days
Holster - 90 days
Other phone accessories - 1 Year
For any further questions you could call, Samsung Telecommunications America, LLC. at phone number 1-800-SAMSUNG. Well I hope this helps. Good Luck!

The STANDARD SAMSUNG WARRANTY for phones is 1 year. Some carriers offer extended warranty options as well as insurance. In most cases these must be purchased within the first month of ownership/activation. So IF YOUR PARTICULAR phone is under warranty. You need to know the date you activated it on your providers network.

If your phone was purchased USED, the original SAMSUNG warranty transfers but the start date is the date the original owner activated it?

Registered users of Samsung.com can register all their products via the site. Once registering your phone it will show a link for warranty info. You can click the link to see if it is still under warranty after that. I highly recommend registering ALL your Samsung products via samsung.com Hope this Helps

You know you got me stumped with this one. When I read and answer these questions. I ALWAYS try and make my own phone do what is being asked and arrive at a useful easy to explain answer. I noticed with my phone when auto rotate from settings/display prompt on the menu is TURNED OFF the keyboard DOES NOT WORK when in Landscape Mode. I hope this solves your problem TURN THE AUTO ROTATE ON. Settings then display put a check in the Auto-rotate screen box.

If that don't do it I am going to suggest stopping in at a local Sprint Store.

Hi there,

Thank you for your inquiry.

It's not necessary to download a driver in order to connect the Nexus S (SPD-D720) to a computer to transfer files.

You can connect your phone to a computer with a USB cable, to transfer music,
pictures, and other files between your phone and the computer. Your phone stores
these files in internal USB storage or on a removable SD card.

Connect your phone to a computer via USB
1. Use the USB cable that came with your phone to connect the phone to a USB port
on your computer.
You receive a notification that the USB is connected.
2. Open the Notifications panel and touch USB connected.
For details on working with the Notifications panel,
3. Touch Turn on USB storage in the screen that opens to confirm that you want
to transfer files.
When the phone is connected as USB storage, the screen indicates that USB
storage is in use and you receive a notification.
Your phone’s USB storage or SD card is mounted as a drive on your computer. You
can now copy files back and forth.

Google has promised us Nexus S 4G users that we GET ANDROID 4.0 (aka Ice Cream Sandwich) first. So when it is FINALLY released we should see our phones all of a sudden go into update mode and viola be switched. So you might want to turn on the Automatic Update feature on your phone.

Hi, in order to sync your Outlook account, follow these steps: First press the "menu button" (its the one with 4 horizontal stacked lines), this will pop out the drawer. In the bottom right hand corner you will see a link to "settings". Press that and it will pull up your settings menu. From there scroll until you see "Accounts & Sync" and select it. This will bring up your Accounts & Sync settings menu. From here you can add accounts by pressing the "Add Account" button. Just follow the steps entering your account info, and you'll be on your way to having your account synced with your phone. Hope this helps, and of course if you have any further questions you can contact Samsung @ http://www.samsung.com/us/support for their 24 hour Automated Response System.

answer 2
First I do not work for SAMSUNG. But I think the problem is in YOUR PHONE settings regarding 4G and not persay the phone or the carrier. Go to your settings, select wireless and networks, select 4G settings and make sure you have 4G turned on. Then go to sprint.com and make sure they have full 4G coverage for your area. I live in Chicago and occasionally run into SPOTTY at BEST coverage issues with 4G.

Thanks for your question!

Regarding your concern, there is no need to install any software on the computer for you to connect the handset with your PC. All you need to have is a memory card inside the handset and a data cable then set the phone to mass storage.

To connect the phone to the computer, please follow the steps below:
Pull out and up the memory card slot cover
Insert the formatted microSD card into the memory card slot
Connect the USB data cable to both the handset and the USB port on the PC
If Select USB Mode appears on the display press the clear key to return to the standby screen OR if the MTP Connect to the PC... appears on the display, press OK then with Yes highlighted press OK to disconnect from the PC
From the standby screen, press OK for Menu
Select Settings & Tools
Select Tools
Select USB Mass Storage
From the PC, double click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop
Double click on the newly created drive letter (which may appear as an icon or text, depending on your View settings)
Double click on the folder to view the contents
Copy and paste or drag n drop the files to/from the destination on the PC
From the handset, press OK for Disconnect
With Yes highlighted, press OK then remove the USB data cable from both the handset and PC

Not only does it NOT HAVE A Traditional SIM Card. But it also doesn't use Micro SB Memory Cards as well. However its USB Storage depending on your carrier has about 13 GB of space. Although I am not a Samsung Engineer or product representative. I suspect no sim is because it updates with desktop contact managers like Outlook and gmail's phone book. And no Micro SB is because 13GB is more than enough for the USB Memory. I am going to suggest you sync your contacts with your gmail and/or MS Outlook contacts.

Yes jadabugg you can email it to another cellphone. And some carriers will allow video to go as a multi-media text message. You have to check with your carrier to see if there is a FILE SIZE Limit to multi-media messages. But before you email it to someone. Make sure they have a phone that can accept email or large multi-media files.
