Thanks for the question. The SMH1611 and SMH1713 models both use the same mounting templates as the SMH9151.

Thank you for the question. It is not unusual for it to take 5 to 6 minutes for a microwave to heat a cup of water. Factors that can effect the speed include:
- the microwave's power, which in the case of the SMH9151 is 1000-watts;
- the selected power level;
- the amount of water being heated;
- the goal temperature (e.g., "warm" vs. "boiling").

I own a above-the-oven microwave SMH9151W. It is (see details for the rest of the question)

currently doing filtering through the build-in filter. I found out that my condo has ventilation pipe. Is it possible to connect this microwave to the ventilation pipe instead of built-in filter?

Please note that these instructions are the same for all Samsung over the range microwaves, and are not specific to any one model.

There is no specific warning against tieing the vent duct into a common system from the perspective of Samsung's installation instructions. However, it is important to make sure that the installation does conform to Samsung's recommendations for outside exhaust venting. In addition, I would suggest contacting your condominium association with regard to their requirements and recommendations for tieing into their system to ensure the installation conforms to your local building codes.

UNIT OPERATION

ONCE IN A WHILE WHEN USING THE UNIT AFTER START IS PRESSED THE UNIT WILL "ZAP" LIKE SOMETHING BEING HEATED HAS METAL IN IT. WE ARE USING PLASTIC ONLY. DO WE HAVE A PROBLEM? NOTE: THIS IS THE SECOND UNIT WE HAVE INSTALLEDE, WITH THE FIRST ONE CATCHING FIRE AND REPLACED. AT THIS TIME WE ARE NOT REAL CONFIDENT WITH THE SAMSUNG UNIT.

I'm sorry to hear you're having this issue. Please try cycling the power by unplugging the microwave or turning the circuit breaker off then on again. Also try cleaning the roller ring under the turntable as well as the surface of the microwave since grease or sticky residue can effect the ability of the turntable to rotate properly. If the microwave still won't heat your food when an appropriate cooking option is selected, and your turntable still won't turn, your microwave will require service. Question

Light, fan, turn table run when door closed

This Samsung microwave is only about two months old. This morning after reheating a cup of coffee, the light, fan and turn table all continue to run when the door is closed. No control panel buttons have any effect on it, and I unplugged the unit, then plugged it back in and it still does the same thing.

Ideas?

I have a Samsung Microwave that we took out of one of out rental houses. The plate that goes inside and turns the food is missing.
