Just start cooking as you would normally. The cooking function will begin and the timer will be still keeping time.

Vent Fan Run-on

The vent fan frequently runs for a rather long time----15 minutes or more---after a short use of the microwave and no use of the range during the winter and the house under 68 degrees. In fact, sometimes it will start to run even if it or the range has not been used for hours and we just open and shut the door. This can't be right. It is a model SMH8165.
Is there anything we can do to make the vent fan work as intented?

my SMH8165W microwave suddenly display 'SE' then stops working, No reference in booklet.

when I get the 'SE' cleared, the light goes on and off many times, then 'SE' returns and a blank display with just the 'SE' blinking. I used it for lunch, all fine. This started without even being in the same room. I've unplugged it and re-plugged it, the cycle starts again. HELP!!!!!!

Kitchen Timer Reminder - Any way to disable?

I just installed my new Samsung microwave. When I use the kitchen timer feature, there is a reminder beep about a minute after the kitchen timer goes off. Is there any way to disable this?

A reminder beep for the cooking process that detects whether the door has been opened makes sense, but I don't generally interact with my microwave after I set the kitchen timer.

The timer beeps audibly. If the volume and type of sound make a significant difference to you, I would suggest visiting a retailer that carries this model or other Samsung over the range microwaves, and asking if you can plug in and listen to the timer signal on a floor model.

I'm not sure which light you're referring to. If the timer is blinking on the display, and you were in the process of heating something, it's possible your microwave was paused. If the clock is blinking, it may need to be reset by following the instructions in the user manual.

If the cooktop or interior oven light are blinking, make sure the microwave is plugged into a working, dedicated 20-amp outlet. If it seems like the light is flickering, it's also possible the bulb needs to be replaced.

My SMH8165W key pad has been acting erratically. What could the problem be?

At various times, different functions work and other don't respond to the touch of the key pad. Certain functions that work one day won't work the next, but others that previously functioned, don't work at that time. When a function does respond on the key pad, the oven heats.
