Hi mtcasher,

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that your Samsung phone is turning on by itself when you plugged in the charger and it won't stay off while charging the phone. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

As of the moment we cannot speculate why the phone won't stay off when you plugged in the charger to charge the phone. To isolate this concern, please try to do a soft reset. Turn of the phone, remove and put the battery back after 1-2 minutes.

You may also drop by at your service provider's corporate store to try using a different battery or charger to check if it would work.

Note: Using non-SAMSUNG charging accessories can cause battery life and other issues, as well as void the manufacturer’s limited warranty.

If any of this won't work, please perform a Factory reset on the phone.

You may use the link provided below for the steps on how to do a Factory Reset.

Note: Please copy and paste the entire link on the address bar of your search engine.

Question

Why can't I send messages from my email boxes like Hotmail and Yahoo?

I just got my Samsung Galaxy 4G 2 weeks ago and I added Hotmail and Yahoo as my email boxes along with my Gmail. I can reply to Gmail, but I can't reply to my messages in the Hotmail and Yahoo email boxes. Why? Would you tell how to get it to work? It just puts them in the outbox and when I click on send outgoing message, nothing happens.

Open the picture in the message, then hit the menu button soft key, after that hit Attached Items. There should be a pop up that allows you to click and save.

Hi duckwafer,

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you would like to know how to make the battery life last longer on your phone, SGH-T959V.

Battery life durations specified on our products are tested in our labs under multiple different conditions and the talk and standby times are a realistic average maximum dependent on customer usage variables.

Battery power consumption depends on a number of factors, such as network configuration, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, frequency of calls, and voice, data, and other
application usage patterns. Some variables that may affect battery life are:

-Backlight settings set to always on or a long amount of time.
-Ring tone settings set to higher volume settings.
-Vibrate settings turned on.
-Using Internet Services including Text Messaging.
-Making and/or Receiving calls in, or simply standing by in, analog service area.
-If you tend to be in a "weak" coverage area where your signal strength meter shows only 1 to 2 bars.
-Using non-SAMSUNG charging accessories can cause battery life and other issues, as well as void the manufacturer’s limited warranty.
-Application pattern usage.

Please check the information listed below for the charging time for your phone.

Initial charging time: 6-8 hours
Regular Charging time:2-4 hours
