You may try performing a soft reset on the phone as a basic troubleshooting step to fix it, by taking out the battery for at least 15-30 seconds, then put the battery back in again and turn it back on to refresh the software.

Please make sure the battery is fully charged.

Please check the information listed below for the charging time for your phone.

Initial charging time: 6-8 hours
Regular Charging time: 2-4 hours

You may also drop by at your service provider's corporate or local store to try using a different battery or charger to check if it would work.

ive followed samsung directions to a T and i just keep getting "unregistered device". i registered the device on samsung's website already last week.

Question

Why is my samsung galaxy not getting service suddenly?

The phone will say that there is 3 bars are so, but under that it says (searching), and will not make calls or send texts. I tried turning it off and on, taking out the battery. No service for 5 hours now in locations where i always have service.

Why can't I send messages from my email boxes like Hotmail and Yahoo?

I can't send emails from my Yahoo and Hotmail email boxes on my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G phone. I write emails and press send and it just goes into the outbox, doesn't send it.

Question

Can't do ANYTHING with the Display...

When I first got the phone I was able to change some of the Display settings such as brightness & font. I'm not sure what happened but now I can't. When I click on the Display option from Settings the phone "vibrates" but the Display doesn't open at all. An error box pops up that says "Sorry! The application Settings (processcom.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I have tried again & still nothing. I have turned the phone off & also taken out the battery & still nothing. Any suggestions/help!? This is quite frustrating...Thanks!!

Try to restore your phone to factory settings and wipe data. If your worried about contacts or messages being deleted search the android market for back up utilities. You can link your contact to gmail by the way.

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you would like to know how to set up your Microsoft Outlook to your phone, SGH-T959V.

You may set up your Microsoft Exchange Email (Outlook) on your phone by following the steps provided below:

1. From the Home screen, tap Applications ➔ Email.
2. If you already have other email account setup:
• Press Menu key and then tap Accounts.
• Press Menu key and then tap Add account.
– or –
Enter your Email address and Password information, and then tap Next. Consult your Network or IT Administrator for further details and support.
• Email address: your Outlook work email address.
• Password: typically your network access password (casesensitive).
3. Tap Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (from the add new email account screen).
4. Enter a Domain, and confirm your Username, and Password information and tap Next.
• If your network requires SSL encryption, tap the Accept all SSL certificates field to place a check mark in the box and activate this additional level.
Important: If your exchange server requires this SSL feature, leaving this field unchecked can prevent connection.
5. If prompted with a connection or Auto discover failed error, tap OK and manually enter your Exchange server information within the appropriate field.
• Exchange Server: your exchange server remote email address. Typically starts with mail.XXX.com. Obtain this information from your company network administrator. Do not accept the default entry as this is a guess based on returned information.
Important: It is recommended that you delete any text in the Exchange server field and enter your server information manually.
6. With the new server information entered, tap Done ➔ Next.

Why do my downloaded applications freeze up and then randomly uninstall from my device?

This happened last night, the phone is 3 weeks old. I looked down and tried to access a few applications and all that's where the app should be is the android logo and when I click on it, I get told that the application is not installed on my device. Pretty frustrating.

You may reset the downloaded applications on your phone, just follow the steps provided below:

1. From your Home Screen, tap on Menu key.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap on Application Manager.
4. Tap All.
5. Select the application.
6. Tap on Clear Data.

I have a Galaxy s 4g t959v the unit will only show an mms received only if the internet is on. If it is not on it will say download but it never downloads the information. Why?

Thank you for your inquiry. We understand that you can't play the movie Inception that is pre loaded on your Samsung phone. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Due to contractual obligations in the Inception contract, we cannot provide replacements that extend beyond the expiration of the contract at the end of August 2012.

Phone was supposed to come loaded with the movie Inception. Why won't it play?

When I click the icon a message displays "file not found".
