Question

Is there anything that can be done to fix focus on the camera in my phone?

I've had this phone for over a year and have already sent it in once while it was still under warranty for a camera problem. Now it won't focus completely when taking photos. Everything is blurry no matter what the settings are at and in all different lighting conditions. It is now out of warranty and I really don't want a different phone since I like the camera in this one so much.

Once you have the NCK code, you may have to call the Samsung Technical Support, for further assistance of using the NCK code to unlock the phone in more timely manner than we could through this forum.

A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you will need to get a PUK code from your service provider.

Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator".

Are you referring unlocking the phone because of phone lock?

If yes, what we can offer for the phone would be the default password which could be either "0000" or "00000000"

We do not have any option to retrieve the previous password that you have set on this phone.

If the default codes will not work, then you may call the Samsung Customer Support Center, as they can help you troubleshoot this issue in a timelier manner that we could through this forum.

Please Note: Unlocking of the phone, although at the discretion of the service provider is possible, will void all Samsung warranties for support or service. Question

Camera's Macro Focus Issue

My camera has had an issue for almost as long as I can remember. The camera can focus very closely on a macro shot, however now, unless I'm about 7 inches away, it will auto focus, perfectly capture the shot, and then blur out the area and snap back out of focus.

Is there something in the phone that might need cleaned? Something that might need replaced? Any help would be appreciated, I really like this phone, and would hate to have to replace it. I am able to do most any sort of cleaning or repair.

Thank you for your inquiry. Are you trying to transfer media files from phone to computer or vice versa. If you're trying to transfer pictures, mass storage option is the most easiest way to do that.

Important: In order to transfer pictures (via Windows Explorer & a USB cable) to a PC the pictures MUST be located on a formatted microSD Memory Card. The microSD memory card must first be formatted, by the phone, in order for the handset to create the destination folders.

To configure the handset's USB setting follow the steps below:

1. From the home screen, press on Menu
2. Press on Settings
3. Press on Phone Settings
4. Press on USB Settings
5. Press Mass Storage
6. Press on Save to keep the USB Mode setting

To transfer Picture files, using Windows Explorer & a USB cable, to a PC follow the steps below:

1. From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either Mass Storage or Ask on Connection
2. Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Headset jack/Adapter jack & the PC's USB slot
3. If prompted, Select the Mass Storage USB setting
4. Select "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" on the new Removable Disk screen
5. Navigate to the picture location, inside the Photos folder within the Images folder
6. Open Windows Explorer
7. Drag and Drop or copy & paste the picture to the desired destination on the PC

Hi. I Just Recently Bought A Samsung Memoir, And Everything Works Fine, And Its Definatly The Best Phone Ive Ever Had. But Im Having A Problem With The Voicemail Notification. After I Got The Phone, I Missed A Call, And Got A Voicemail Message.
