My phone says it;'s in 'no sim mode' but my sim card is in it. How do I fix it?

"No sim mode" appears on the phone's screen after turning it on when simcard is not on its slot or removed from the phone. In other cases, simcard is not placed properly or correctly on its slot so you have to check it. However, if you have placed it correctly on its slot and its still giving the same message then please try another simcard on the phone. If the new simcard worked then it only means that the other simcard is defective and you have to replace it with a new one.

First, turn-off and reinsert your sim. Turn your phone back on.
Also try manually re-selecting your network.
I had this problem recently and this worked for me.

Press "menu" at the bottom of the main screen. Press the "settings" icon at the bottom of the menu screen. Then select "Sound Profiles". Select "normal". Then select "Ringtone". Then select the ring-tone you would like for your phone. Also you can select a song on your phone and then select "Set As" and it gives you the option of setting it as a ring-tone. To select a ring-tone for a specific caller. Open the phone book. Select the contact. Then select "Edit" at the bottom of the screen. There are 5 tabs at the top. The first is a phone and the second is a silhouette of a person with a musical note. That is the one you need to select. On the screen that pops up the second selection is a music note. Select that one and select "Change". Then select the tone you want.

How do I change my memory settings?

I have had this phone for two years now. I have been please with it until recently. I have taken very good care of it. I cant send any pictures out now because it says my memory is full. I have deleted everything possible in the phone memory. I have a 16gb memory card in the phone. What can I do to fix this problem? I am thinking about getting a new phone now.

Please try to do a soft reset. Turn of the phone, remove and put the battery back after 1-2 minutes.

Hi there!

I would like to inform you that there are no configurable options to transfer text messages from phone's memory to SIM card.

First 30 text messages that you receive on the handset will automatically saved on the SIM’s memory and 30 onwards will be saved on the phone's memory.

Hello.

If you are having "PIN LOCK" or "PUK LOCK", it's a lock on the simcard and you can ask for assistance with your service provider to help you with the PUK or PIN CODE to unlock it.

If the phone has a "Phone lock" and it's asking for a passcode, use "0000” or “00000000” as a default passcode.

The SGH-T929 is not capable to run the Android OS since the operating system of the phone is Symbian.

Only phones with google software installed has the capability to run the Android operating system.

How do you transfer text message from a samsung memoir to your pc?

I've been trying to connect my samsung memoir to the computer with PC studio 3 with the USB, but apparently it doesn't connect. It works when I connect it with the "Mass storage" but for some reason PC studio setting won't let me connect to the computer. I need to transfer my text message to my Windows 7 because I don't want to lose my text and don't want to keep deleting them because some are really important. If you know a way to save all my text message somehow, please inform me. Thanks =D

There are no configurable options to transfer text messages from the phone to the computer as the PC Studio available for your phone does not support the Message Manager which will allow this process.

Thank you for the inquiry of your Samsung SGH-T929. There are no option or settings to disable the IM application, because it is a preloaded default on the handset. However, in order to stop running this application is you have to logout your IM account. You may contact your service provider for further assistance about the IM of the handset.

Hi there!

Regarding about you concern, for you to connect the SGH-T929 handset to your desktop computer, it would require you to have USB data cable, with part number: APCBS10UBEBSTD and also download on your computer the driver for the phone, which is the Samsung New PC Studio.

For you to download the Samsung New PC Studio on your computer:
1. Deactivate the antivirus and firewall on your computer.
2. Open the web browser and then log on to this link:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/supportDownloadCenter.do?prd_ia_cd=N0000005&prd_mdl_cd=SGH-T929ZKATMB&prd_mdl_name=SGH-T929

3. Click on the software tab and then download the compatible driver for the type of OS on your computer.
4. Save the driver on your desktop.
5. Once download is complete, double click on the EXE file and click on Run.
6. Follow the procedure to install it.

My t-929 will not accept any charge through the port. The phone automatically shuts off when I attempt to plug it in and charge it through the port

It doesn't matter how I charge it, wall, USB or car, the phone just powers off and doesn't charge.

Samsung Memoir does not have any capability to run an Android Operating system since it supports a Symbian technology. Only phones which has a google software has the capacity to run and Android Operating system.
