No it does not support themes. You can add new wallpapers in mpeg format.

Question

I'm trying to figure out how to send video and sound files as text. I've searched the manual but can't find it.

A box comes up that says "This media may not be correctly displayed to recipients. Continue? I'm puzzled because the phone give me the option to send video and sound files as text but if the phone will not do this, why does it have that option?

Hello!

Please make sure that your Mutli- Media Messaging service is properly configured on your phone. Contact your service provider for assistance in activating the service.

Also, make sure that the picture message format is supported by the phone.

NOTE: Picture messages are limited up to 50 kb.

If your phone is configured, you may try sending a multi- media message to your own number to check if you can both send and receive picture messages.

Hi there!

You may check your Samsung Highlight if it has a memory card follow the steps below:

1. Press and hold the red END key to turn off the phone.
2. Press down on the battery cover and slide the cover toward the bottom end of the phone, then lift it the cover up and away from the phone.
3. Lift the battery up, then slide it away from the phone.
4. On the lower left corner of the battery compartment.Open the metal memory card cover and check if there is a memory card (small black chip) in the memory card slot.

Note: These are the specifications of the Removable Memory Card of SGH-T749:
Slot Type: microSD
Card Type: microSDHC
Max Storage Size:16 GB
Recommended Card Size: 2 GB
Folders Created At Format: Video, Sounds, Other Files

If you wish to Format the SD card in your phone you may use the steps below:
Format By Phone: Menu>Settings>Memory Settings>Memory Card Details>Format

Warning: Formatting a memory card will permanently delete all current content.

The SGH-T749 (Highlight) phone features five different methods to transfer pictures/videos between the handset and a PC.

SGH-T749 (Highlight) Media Transfer Methods:

-Via New Samsung PC Studio
-Via Windows Explorer
-Via Memory Card
-Via Bluetooth
-Via Multimedia Message

How do I find out my PIN and put it in after it is locked?

I accidentally went over the amount of times that I could try to put in the PIN code. My mother got me this as a present and she forgot the PIN and now I cant use my phone. I need help fast please.

Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry. A PIN (Personal Identification Number) code is required to unlock SIM cards. PIN code can be obtained when you contact your current service provider.

We advise you to please not enter any incorrect code unless you got the correct PIN code for the SIM card that you are using on the phone from your service provider for it might lead to accidentally blocking the SIM card.

There is no available option to delete recent recipents based on the handset's menu and specification.

The only option I can give you is to reset the whole phone in that way it will go back to its default settings.

Hi there!

Thank you for your inquiry. Regarding about your concern, you can set lock for security purpose on the SGH-T749 handset. The handset also features three other different lock features (Phone Lock, Automatic Screen Lock and Application Lock).

In Phone Lock mode, you can answer calls, but the phone must be unlocked to place outgoing calls (except to emergency numbers). The phone locks automatically the next time it is powered on and stays locked until you enter the correct lock code.

To enable or disable the “Phone Lock” setting:
1. From the home screen, press on Menu.
2. Press on Settings.
3. Press on Phone Settings.
4. Press on Security.
5. If prompted to enter a pass code, enter the default pass code which could be “0000” or “00000000”.
6. From the Lock Phone section, select On.

When the “Automatic Screen Lock” is enabled the phone automatically locks the display screen during a call to prevent accidental key presses.

To enable or disable the Automatic Screen Lock setting:
1. From the home screen, press on Menu.
2. Press on Settings.
3. Press on Call Settings.
4. Scroll down then press on Automatic Screen Lock.
5. Press on either On or Off.
6. Press on Save to enable or disable the Automatic Screen Lock.

The “Application Lock” will restrict access to all phone application menus. Once you have locked the applications, you must enter the correct lock code to access the associated menus.

To enable or disable the Application Lock setting:
1. From the home screen, press on Menu.
2. Press on Settings.
3. Press on Phone Settings.
4. Press on Security.
5. If prompted to enter a pass code, enter the default pass code which could be “0000” or “00000000”.
6. Press on Lock Applications (All unlocked).
7. Check the box besides any of the applications listed (All, Messages, Files, Call Log, Phonebook, Calendar, Memo, IM and Tasks).
8. Press on Save to keep the Application Lock settings.
9. Enter the Application Lock password, using the keypad.
10. If prompted, confirm the Application Lock password, using the keypad.

If you’re asking on how to install the SIM card on you Samsung SGH-T749, you may follow these steps.

Installing the SIM Card
=======================

Important!: The plug-in SIM card and its contacts information can be easily damaged by scratching or bending, so be careful when handling, inserting, or removing the card. Keep all SIM cards out of reach of small children.

1. If necessary, switch off the phone by holding down the power key until the power-off image displays.
2. Slide the cover away from the phone, then carefully lift the battery cover up.
3. Lift the cover away from the phone.
4. Place your thumbnail in the notch at the top and lift it up and out.
5. Carefully slide the SIM card into the SIM card socket until the card locks into place. Make sure that the card’s gold contacts face into the phone and that the upper-left angled corner of the card is positioned correctly.

Note: If the card is not inserted correctly, the phone does not detect the SIM card. Re-orient the card back into the slot.

Have you already call your service provider and configure your settings in your internet and multimedia message? If not, call your service provider and ask them to configure your settings so that you can access an internet and send mms using your phone.

There is no configurable option on the settings of the phone to send pictures to facebook. The only phones' that are capable of doing this are the Galaxy S phones.
