Hello there.
The music player supports the following audio file types: MP3, M4A, WMA, MP4, 3GP, MIDI and AMR.
To configure the handset'sUSB setting follow the stepsbelow:
-From the standby screen,tap Menu
With your finger press and hold swiping right of left to access Main Menu 3
-Press Settings
-Press Connectivity
-Press Select USB Mode
-Press the desired USB Setting from the following:
*Mass Storage
-Press Save to keep the USB Mode setting
First option that you can use is via Mass Storage.
To transfer MP3 files, using the Mass Storage option, follow the steps below:
-Plug the USB cable into both the handset & the PC
-If the Select USB Mode box appears on the phone display, select Mass Storage
-A new Removable Disk box will appear on the PC's monitor, prompting "What do you want Windows to do?"
-Double click on "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" or manually open it
-Navigate to the location of the MP3 file(s) then copy them to the Windows clipboard
-Paste the MP3 file(s) into the memory card's Sounds folder
Second option is via New Samsung PC Studio.
Important: The Bluetooth feature must first be disabled before initiating a USB connection with the handset. Prior to connecting the USB cable to the handset, install the latest version of the Samsung PC Studio application. This application installs the necessary USB drivers onto your PC. Note: Set up again your USB settings into Samsung PC Studio.
To transfer MP3 files, using the New Samsung PC Studio & a USB cable, to a PC follow the steps below:
-From the standby screen, insure that the USB mode setting is set to either PC Studio or Ask on Connection
-Connect the USB cable to both the phone's Power/Accessory Interface connector & the PC's USB slot
-If prompted, Select the PC Studio USB setting
-The New Samsung PC Studio program will automatically appear on the PC
-Click on the SGH-T749 icon, located in the upper right corner, to open a box showing the handset's internal memory
-Double click on the Audio folder then double click on the Music folder
-Click on the My Computer icon , located in the upper left corner, to open a box showing the PC's internal memory
-Navigate to the PC's MP3 file location, or desired destination
-Drag and Drop or Copy (or Cut) and Paste the MP3 files between the My Computer box and the T749 box or vice versa
-After the successful transfer of the MP3 file(s), click on OK in the Device Explorer or My Computer box
-Now it is safe to disconnect the USB data cable from both the handset & PC
Hints & Tips:
Make sure the USB data cable is compatible with your phone model.
Remember to select file formats and file sizes supported by the phone when uploading files to the phone from the PC.
